Reserved a 10 passenger Cadillac CTS for my 50th birthday to tour local holiday light displays. Made the reservation well in advance after doing my research on what type of Limousine I wanted to meet my needs. I had a group of 7 (close family) and wanted a luxurious classy limo. The drive showed up on time but in a Cadillac Escalade 20 passenger SUV. The driver said the owner said it was a free upgrade at no additional cost to me. I called American Eagle the next business day to see why they changed my Cadillac CTS reservation without checking with me. Spoke to Harry and he stated that it was a free upgrade with no charge to me. I went on to explain to him that I had reserved the CTS looking for a more intimate classy ride/setting and would have reserved a SUV if that was what I wanted. He went on to state that it was the first time in 20 years that someone had called complaining about a "free upgrade" and he was glad he didn't send a Masserati or Mercedes as I would have complained about that too. I pointed out that both cars are sedans and not SUV's. If I wanted a bling SUV, I would have rented one. He then told me to read the contract and they have the right to change out vehicles for any reason. I reserved the limo 6 weeks in advance to ensure I would be able to pick my choice from their fleet. I would have been fine with a reasonable explanation and felt they could have simply said sorry. I had to write a review as they are the rudest people I ever spoke with over the phone. I called to get a quote for my daughter as this is prom season and I inquired about the packages and the information provided on the website that I needed a little more clarity on.. Well needless to say the gentleman I spoke with was acting like he was not there to do a job! They will ruined your event please take my words. I booked this company for a birthday party first of all the bus was not what was in the picture very outdated. The auxiliary cord was not working and the sound system was very poor. The music and the lights kept going on and off. We couldn't even dance to a complete song without the music going off. We had zero fun. I woke up the next day and America limo had charged my card $300 claiming there was a damage in the bus. Very ridiculous. I tried calling them and only Sam was picking the phone first of all he was very rude and wasn't helpful at all. He kept hanging the phone on me after I asked him to transfer me to his supervisor. I just got off the phone with someone and the customer service is unbelievable. very pushy and rushing me off the phone quoting "Good Luck" All i wanted to do was solidify the information before giving my payment info. We called about their services and received a quote that they then refused to honor. Additionally, their representative Tony Ahmed actually began yelling at me on the phone for reasons I still can't figure out. I reported to them to the BBB, and their response to the BBB was a story of complete lies, sent by Stephanie Fleming. I'm only providing 1 star because there is no option to give this company no stars for their unprofessionalism, poor customer service and blatant fabrications to cover up their issues with the club partners they advertise that they have partnerships with. Situation: I contracted with this horrible company for a party bus for my birthday celebration on 11/21/2015. I would not recommend this company to anyone as they are a complete and total ripoff. I paid for a party bus for 16 guest for 4 hours with 1 club entrance that American Eagle partners with for me and my guest. Upon arrival at the club (ultra bar) my guest and I were not allowed to exit the bus because the club representatives stated we needed to pay $20.00 per person to get in. Well naturally we were appalled because this was already handled through American Eagle and the total cost was included in with bus. We were told there was some type of dispute between American Eagle and the Ultra Bar and unless we paid the $20.00 we would not be allowed to enter. After hearing this we contacted an American Eagle representative Mary immediately and she fabricated the first story that my party was dressed inappropriately but when she was advised we did not even have a chance to exit the bus so how could anyone say what we were dressed like she then fabricated another story that me and my guest were being rowdy. She never once addressed the fact that they were requiring us to pay. Mary's and American Eagle poor customer service and failure to provide me with a resolution outside of "we could find another club that WE knew was free and go there." was a direct violation of the contract. They advertise partnerships but do a bait and switch once you actually arrive to the partnering club. Mary and American Eagle was treating me and my guest like we did something wrong when in fact that was her cover story to deny me a full refund as we did not use the bus nor did we get into the club of my choice which was discussed and agreed prior to the event. I would steer very clear of this company and their shady tactics and find a more reputable company that values customer satisfaction and service and does not blatantly lie to try and keep money they know they are not entitled to keep. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I hired American Eagle Limousine to provide transportation for my wedding, and it was a total disaster. I was 45 minutes late to my own ceremony out in winery country because the driver refused to take the route I requested. The tire blew mid-ceremony, and we were stranded at the winery for an hour. We had a dinner scheduled back in DC, and I wasn't pleased that we were going to be late for that. Here's the real kicker though: the worthless driver didn't know how to change the tire, and there was no spare tire to be found. My husband's groomsmen had to remove the tire and put a donut on the 12 seat limousine. The company refused to send another limousine or contract with another area company. Of course, that donut shredded halfway back to DC, stranding the wedding party on the side of I-66 for 45 minutes. Again, AEL refused to send a replacement vehicle. They wouldn't return the driver's calls; he said he was going to have to call a friend to pick him up. A bus we had rented from Chariots for Hire to transport guests had to turn around and drive 30 miles to pick us up. We incurred over $400 in overtime as a result. At no time have I actually spoken with someone at AEL. I filed complaints with consumer protection agencies, and though AEL refuses to communicate with any of them either, it sounds like I will finally be getting a refund. Keep in mind I'm still out over $400 because of their incompetence. The situation was really dangerous and could have been disastrous. The investigator who worked on the case assured me it was NOT the first time she had seen complaints of the same nature. Apparently the company cannot maintain its vehicles and can't manage to send replacement limousines. At no time did anyone apologize for my experience. Not even the woman answering the phone. Spread the word about this HORRIBLE business. read more

I booked this limo company last minute for a company holiday party. The booking experience and customer service over the phone was great and I was very excited to use the service. Everything went downhill from here. When the driver called me to tell me he was ready for us, I politely asked he wait a few more mins as our whole party had not arrived. He agreed reluctantly. As we made our way down to the bus, I had noticed it was not what I had booked. I was expecting a clean (black or white) true party bus, but instead it was a tacky looking renovated city type bus with their decals all over it (again, I talked on the phone and was told this would not be the bus from their website pictures). Regardless, I told myself I wouldn't be bothered by this as the inside was pleasant. So the night began and we had no issues arriving. As we were waiting to depart, we had to wait additional time for the driver to pick us up after our agreed upon time. I immediately knew this would be a problem because of timing. The driver picked us up and drove us back to our drop-off location again without any problems. We arrived about 15-20 minutes after the contract ending time. As we got off, I thanked the driver for his time and gave him I considered a very nice tip. He responded with "that's it" and requested I clean the entire bus myself. So my friends and I got garbage bags and took every piece of trash off the bus, leaving a few wipe downs to handle it. As I received the bill from the company, they claimed I left the bus trashed, which is far from the case. So long story short, the whole trip was very pleasurable, excluding the behavior and attitude of the driver at certain points of the trip. When I checked my email the next day, I had received a bill for $300 overtime charges. I replied back to the company and explained the situation and was appalled they would not waive such a large fee for 20 minutes largely due to the tardiness of the driver. After much review on yelp and other sites, I saw many people had similar issues and the business manager was very quick to shut down all complaints and say positive things about their company. Although, this was a seemingly pleasant experience, I would strongly urge against booking with company merely due to the lack of professionalism of the employees and willingness to compromise. Will not use this company again. Hired them for my husband's birthday on January 2, 2012 to take us from the suburbs to the Four Seasons in DC. The car made odd sounds on the way into town but the driver got us there without any problems. He gave us his number and told us he didn't have any other jobs and would be a minute away so he could arrive as soon as we finished dinner. After dinner we called his cell number but it rang into a voicemail. We waited a little while longer and called a second time but again it rang into voice mail. We went to the Doorman and asked if he knew where the driver was waiting. He didn't and asked us to call again. The third time, we received voicemail, again! I called American Eagle dispatch and they called the driver. They, too, received voicemail and told us to keep trying. My husband walked the blocks around the Four Seasons to see if the driver was waiting nearby, but he was no where to be found. We continued to call and continued to get voicemail. Our group was tired and ready to head home so we asked the Doorman to call a cab. It was now about thirty-five minutes since our first call. It was a really lousy way to end a fun night and it ruined the evening I had planned for my husband. The next day I called American Eagle to complain about the "no show" driver. American Eagle disputed my story and told me we had only waited fifteen minutes. They said I should have waited longer before taking a cab. Didn't their driver say he would be a minute away and available? Didn't our $550 fee cover this service and a quick response?? They said they checked their records with dispatch and felt that my timeline was wrong. They did not bother to call the Four Seasons and confirm my story. I asked them to refund my fee, but they refused. I pushed back and they finally agreed to refund one hour saying they usually didn't refund but would in this case. I accepted the refund but told them I wouldn't use their company again. The service was unreliable and the response exceptionally disappointing. read more

If I could give this company less than 1 I would. Dealing with this company has been one of the worst experiences of my life. It started with the aggressive sales tactics, constant calls, emails, and texts. Then after being strong armed into reserving the overpriced service and receiving a bid for half as much, they would not budge on the price. Because they strong armed me while I was in my car I gave the incorrect address, I called to correct and they charged me $80 more dollars for an extra 20 miles (bus gas must be incredibly expensive). Their driver ends up being late and making us later and they charge me an extra $300. This seems like a great business practice. There were 19 other people on that bus. I know that I will never use this awful service again. You would be far better off getting an Uber XL because you can trust that when they mess up you will not be forced to pay some incredible additional charge. I reserved the company to celebrate an engagement proposal this past Memorial Day. I am not the picky or complaining type. I've never gone out of my way to write a negative review of a company, but this has just been over the top wrong. The driver showed up on time to the first pickup location with a very nice bus.It was a good start. From there we were taken to the second of three locations. Obviously the bus is too large to sit outside of a restaurant, so once we were dropped off the driver went to a side street nearby until we completed our dinner. Once my party finished our meal, I called the driver 4 to 5 times over the span of 30 minutes with no answer. Luckily, a family member had a personal car that was on site at the location. I literally had to leave my engagement dinner to patrol the surrounding area looking for the bus. I found the bus parked a few blocks over on a residential street. As I approached the bus, I noticed there looked to be no one in the bus. I began to knock on the windows towards the back of the bus. 30 seconds later, the driver opens the door fixing his clothes from clearly being asleep in the back. I told him we had been waiting for him and that I'd been calling him tirelessly. He literally had the audacity to look me in the face and say that had no missed calls. Had my relative not driven their personal vehicle, my entire party would have been forced to wait at the restaurant until the driver decided to wake up from his nap. This 45 to an hour delay caused us to go over our final reserved time and I was charged 300 dollars for an overtime fee. Once I called the contact number for American Eagle, I spoke to an extremely sarcastic and rude customer service rep. I have been trying to state my case back and forth with the company and I have literally been flat out told that the driver said I was lying. According to his account he was not asleep and picked us up on time from the second location. I have pleaded that I would not know his exact location (down to the street name and cross street) of where he had parked if I didn't have to go searching for him. Challenged them to check my claim against their GPS tracker on the bus. No response. After all this, I promise that had I not been charged the ridiculous 300 dollar overtime fee I would have never said anything. But the next person should be warned of this company. I've been patient to try to resolve this situation. But the company has pretty much stopped responding. Instead of asking to be compensated in any matter, I just wanted the bogus overtime fee returned. At the end of the day, this is not a cheap reservation. And with the common theme of awful customer service provided by this company in these reviews, I'd definitely take my money elsewhere. read more

Too bad you can't give them zero or negative stars for that matter. This place is the worst, bunch of rip-off artists. So my wife calls and gets a preliminary quote over the phone for about 20 or so of our friends to use this companies services. They give her a fee based upon the number of people and time that we'll need their services. They don't mention anything to my wife about their cancellation policy over the phone. At this time they secure a card number "to reserve the date for us". Well they immediately charge $1,100 to it as soon as they hang up with my wife. Fast forward to 2 days later and the contract arrives, There's a bunch of verbiage in this contract that was never discussed with my wife over the phone. A list of charges never explained during the initial phone conversation, $300 for sitting in the wrong spot, $200 for drink spillages, $200 for excessive mess, and the list goes on. If that's not bad enough they list a fee of $300 per hour for any "overtime" charges that may occur. Well, had these items been discussed in the original phone conversation we would have not proceeded any further. SO, we decide not to use their service, mind you all we have is a quote over the phone, no signed contract. The contract arrives via email 2 days after the verbal quote but I'm still charged $1,100. I dispute the charge with my bank, they state that American Eagle has a recorded phone conversation with my wife where they state she was made aware of the non-refundable deposit. However American Eagle hasn't shared that recording with my bank, just went by the email chain between my wife and them which proves nothing. So I send American Eagle an email, here it is a week later and still no response. If they recorded my wife I believe I have the right to listen to this supposed recording. These guys are the absolute worst, stay away unless you want to be taken advantage of. Oh, and the best part, let's just say that they did explain to my wife all deposits and fees are non-refundable. Their website states that the deposit is supposed to be 50% of their total service fee. My total service fee was $1,100, the same amount charged on my credit card the first contact we made with them prior to receiving a contract which we never accepted or signed. Think these guys are someone you'd like to do business with? My bank has re-opened my dispute with American Eagle after speaking with me and going over the above facts. I also plan on pursuing any form of legal action I may against this company as well. Once again, these guys are very shady, buyer beware! read more

STAY AWAY FROM AMERICAN EAGLE LIMOUSINE! This company is awful. They lie about everything. They told me all limos were 2012 year models or newer. The limo we sent had to be at least 10 years old. The upholstery was torn, the window tinting was cracked and peeling, etc. It was embarrassing to ride in. The driver had no clue how to get anywhere and his only means of figuring it out was his personal cell phone that didn't work. We had to give him turn-by-turn directions every step of the way. The owner, Tony Ahmed, is a lying, cheating scoundrel. Their site is full of all sorts of false claims and misrepresentations (for instance, they don't have half of the limos they list--they just post them to lure you in.) A group of 28 of us took an American Eagle party bus out for my friend's 34th birthday (no judgment, you're never too old!) and we had the BEST TIME. This was the nicest party bus I had been on. It is very spacious on the inside with a much more interesting setup than any of the other buses I had been on. Plus the people you work with at the company (particularly Mary) are so nice and helpful over both email and the phone. Be very careful when using this company. The limo part was OK, price was a little expensive, but their contract and business practices were criminal. When making the reservation you are required to pay the entire bill up front, and they add on what I was told clearly was "gratuity" of 20% (80$ in my case). when i was emailed a contract the contract said it was an "administration" fee and when the driver showed up, the contract was changed to an increased hourly rate (120$ vice 100$) with no gratutiy or admin fee. At this point (saturday evening with a sweet 16 party) I was not in a postion to argue. Later that night the drive shook me down for a tip. So be very careful that you clearly read the contract, that the admin fee really says gratuity and doesnt become part of the hourly rate. There customer service (Stephanie) was no help and could not understand why I was upset at their business practices. read more

I used this service to plan a date night for 5 couples in total to travel to the Verizon Center for dinner and a show. We were given the Land Rover Limo on the way there and a Hummer Limo on the way back (both of which were free upgrades). The company was very flexible with the time and making arrangements for travel in less than a week's time. They had excellent communication with us every step of the way and we even had access to our driver's information each way ahead of time to be able to call them directly in case of any confusion. Both drivers were very professional, the limo's themselves were pristine and all in all, we had a fantastic evening! The pricing was less than other quotes I had received. Booking was a breeze as well as the payment process - all extremely professional. Everything was as agreed. Company refused to offer a partial refund for air conditioning not working in June. Owner of the company tried to blame user error, but when I told him that the driver came back and verified that the AC was not functioning, he responded by saying that they can't be responsible for it, and accused me of trying to get something for free (I had requested a partial refund, and told him he had the opportunity to make things right) The owner told me they had done us a favor by picking us up, and that they were only responsible for getting us safely to our destination; comfort was not a concern of his. read more

Had a good experience with this company for my cousins bachelor party. Driver arrived early so we had time to load drinks and take care of paperwork. He stopped whenever we needed to take bathroom breaks and such (long ride where we went). The limo bus was really nice and loaded with water and soda already, which I didn't know they did but was thankful for. Everything went smooth except the last ten miles from home... I was watching his GPS and it said we'd be home with five minutes to spare, but he took the wrong turn and instead of turning around, it took him in a huge circle, brought him back to the wrong turn he initially took, and added almost twenty minutes to our ride! I asked him about it after realizing the time his GPS said we'd get home, and he said it was OK, don't worry about it. After getting back fifteen minutes late, I assumed he'd chalk that up as his mistake and I wouldn't get charged extra... I was wrong. I saw an extra $300 charge the next morning. I was going to call and complain, however I was left a voice-mail from Tony stating that they saw we got back late but that they were going to go ahead and remove the extra charge. BE WARNED, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I hired them for my daughter's 18th birthday celebration. They were to arrive at her school to pick up her friends and her in a white limo at 5:00 PM. the time when all the kids were leaving school and could see the girls in the limo and hang out for a while. We had an entire evening planned around that limo and it NEVER SHOWED. The driver called me AT 5:00 to tell me he was at my house which was 1.5 HOURS AWAY! When I called the office, I was told that they were sorry, the driver could be there in an hour (which was a lie because the driver was at least 1.5 hours away) and furthermore, if I still used the driver and limo, I would get no discount, or compensation for being late. My only options was to allow them to keep my money (they make you pay in full up front) and let the limo get there when it gets there, or have it all refunded and forfeit a limo for the day. I said forget it and asked the local hotel to find another limo company for me. When I complained about how this completely ruined my daughter's 18th birthday, either Tony Ahmad or Najib Ahmad (He wouldn't give me his name, the owner's name, or any staff's names - I Googled the company to get these names), told me "We can't control our drivers - its not our fault he didn't show. I fired him". OMG. STAY AWAY...and I still have not received my refund.... read more

Charges are non-refundable and even if you have people cancel and can reduce to a smaller limo and know 24 hours in advance, they will not reduce the price but will give you the smaller limo. They also refuse to make more than one drop-off at the end of the night even if it's within your time limit. My family used American Eagle Limo to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday...what a mistake that was - I will never use them again nor recommend anyone use them. The Limo arrived on time (6 p.m.) but that is the only positive thing I can say about the entire experience with the company. The lighting in the back of the limo went out before we got into the limo. We sat at our house for 45 mins waiting for the driver to attempt to fix the lighting even though we had reservatons at a resaurant in DC at 7. After 45 mins waiting, we finally asked the driver to take us to the resaurant and get us another limo while we we had dinner. While in route, we called AE limo and their customer service was horrible, they never once apologized for any of the problems or offered any remedy (reduced rate, more time since we wasted an hour of the reserved time). Half way to DC, we pulled off the highway and waited for about 15 mins for a tech to get there. he simply flipped a switch. American Eagle should train their drivers to know how to run a limo...if the driver was trained he coudl have fixed this and problem solved. While the limo offered soft drinks and water they were all off brand generic sodas and water. In additon, their was supposed to be ballons and red carpet for my dad. No red carpet and the limo had three ballons laying on the floor. We continually asked that the owner or manager call to try and remedy the problem - after all, they are a Service Industry provider but that never happened. My Dad's wife did right a review about he company online (a not so nice review) and that is when a call was returned from the owner who proceeded to tell her what a horrible person she was for writing the review, did not apoologize and try to remedy the problem and said that he should have sent us his beat up towncars??? We all understand problems happen. The response from this company when a problem does arise is to be totally unapologetic, pass the blame and call you names (horrible people). It would have been as simple as we are sorry for the problmes how can we make it better. Don't use this Limo Service - you will waste your hard earned money! read more

My husband rented a white Escalade for the whole day for our wedding in Sept 2012 and it was a nice day in the morning so we didn't realize that the A/C wasn't working...THEN the limo got really hot and when we asked the driver to turn on the A/C he kept shouting back at us that it it is on. We thought he might have just turned it on so we waited a little bit and when it just kept getting hotter, we just asked the driver to pull over and see what's wrong with the A/C in the back. He then admitted that the A/C isn't working. So we called the office and no one was picking up. We then emailed the office and no one responded. Girls-Imagine sweating like crazy on your wedding day and your hair all messed up and your dress ruined! Men-think of your suit drenched in sweat and all your bride's maids and groom's men cranky due to having to sit in a hot a$$ limousine you paid over a thousand dollars for! This is not the company you want to go with. When we got back from our honeymoon, we called the limo company and spoke with a gentleman (I believe Tony) who was extremely RUDE! He basically said he didn't care about what happened and since we kept using the limo (on our wedding day-as if we were going to dismiss the driver and limo ON OUR WEDDING DAY) that we didn't deserve anything from their company. The way he was speaking to us was just insane. He had no class or customer service! We didn't even get an apology!! The bus was rented by a friend for her party. The bus was amazing when we first saw it 3 months ago. When I went with her to look at it she specifically asked how many people could fit on the bus. The person that helped us told us that 24 people could fit comfortably. So when the day came for the party I was picked up at the second pick up point with a few other people realized that the bus could not seat 24 people. We still had a great time on the bus until the music kept going out. When my friend called the office the next day to ask for a refund for just the few people that we couldn't fit on the bus the person was rude and screamed at her over the phone saying that the bus could hold more people. All she wanted was a small refund not the whole thing since we had a great time on the bus. But threatening to sue someone over your bad service is not a way to run a business. read more

I have reserved party buses through American Eagle multiple times and we have always had a blast. Customer service is wonderful, we always have the coolest drivers. I have never had any issue with coorindation or actually any issues at all. We have always had so much fun! read more
