Stopped here over the weekend to look for jeans I had seen online. Their jeans selection is huge, an entire wall full of many different styles of jeans. It could be a bit overwhelming for someone like me who don't even know where to start looking. I usually like to do my shopping online. I had a hard time finding them and Ca'leal was so nice to input it in his phone to help find them for me. He happened to be in the fitting room the same time I asked the girl who was working back there for another of the same style of jeans. Ca'leal without hesitation went out to the floor, he knew exactly what to get and brought me another. He saved me a lot of time. I was in and out of there in no time and I was very thankful for that. One of the best shopping experiences I've had! Online is my preferred method of shopping. I had not been to the concord mall in a very long time. I was in need of some new jeans. I am tall, so finding the proper inseam can be a challenge. American Eagle was my last stop in the mall. Unfortunately, I did not get the ladies' name, but I will attach my receipt for reference. I was not greeted upon entry. She was folding clothes and I walked up to her. I told her what I was looking for, and she was HAPPY to help. I felt like I had a personal shopper. She went above and beyond. I was able to leave the store with 1 pair of jeans in extra long. I'm still in shock that there was a pair in store!! The other pairs she did have to order for me online. I loved the styles, the fit and the quality. ALSO, they price match, so check online before you buy. So ladies, if you have a long inseam, I'm talking 33" +, AE comes in Long and Extra Long lenths!! Now that I've found my proper sizing, I'll probably won't be going back to the mall bc of convenience. HOWEVER, I'm definitely shopping with American Eagle in the future. I have to give the store only one star due to the fact that every time I come to this particular location in the Sunvalley Mall and one particular manager is working (Hispanic male. I do not know his name) is rude and completely unhelpful. No customer service at all! Pompous is the best way to describe his behavior. I do have to say however, that the young girls that work there are very sweet and they go above and beyond to help. I can't believe they have to work for this guy. Nobody deserves to be treated like this. He stands at the cash register acting like he's busy (not even helping any customers pay) while the girls are working their butts off, and he refuses to unlock the dressing rooms. This is happened to me a half a dozen times with the same manager at this location. I ran in there on my lunch hour to get a couple tops and there was a line of six women with small kids waiting to get in the dressing room. They all indicated to me that they have been waiting a long time and he said he was too busy to unlock the rooms for them and he would unlock them when he had time. Pressed for time I went to inquire. "He" told me the same thing. Finally, one of the girls rushed off of the cash register and ran back with her keys and try to hurriedly unlock the rooms. You would think the manager would make it a priority to let the patrons try on clothing. I find that the location in Stoneridge Mall with the management is much better. Maybe this store should try making the young women there managers and get rid of him. What a jerk! read more

Awful, awful, awful customer service. I walked in right at opening to do a return and was told to go to the front counter. I then proceeded to stand there for 10min while the apparent manager did paperwork at the front of the store. After standing there for 10min someone came from the back to help me. I really like AE clothing. But, I'll never shop at this store again. A customer should never be told to go stand at the register while the employee does something logistical in front of the customer. The customer always comes first. I went in another time and wanted to exchange an item I purchased online. They didn't have it in the store. The employee proceed to tell me it would be really hard to do the exchanges. And it would be "easier" to just return and I order on my own time. These are great ways to lose customers. And this store for sure lost one after these encounters. Whoever manages this store is not training their employees well and making the experience of shopping with AE miserable. read more

Ok, so I'm going to come right out and say it. The customer service at THIS American Eagle location is downright terrible. I absolutely refuse to be a patron of this location because the workers there are simply put, RUDE. Every time I go there I am not acknowledged, AT ALL. Once my friend even tried to get help and the girl walked right past her. THEN the next time we went we brought our items up to the registers and the girl was standing behind the registers folding clothes or something of the like and we had to literally stand there for some time. The girl saw us and kept going on with what she was doing. We couldn't believe it. Eventually she was like 'are you ready?'. Well DUH bi*&h! Why else would we be standing here?! I refuse to shop at this location and was it not for the awesome service I got at the San Francisco location, I would've never shopped at AE ever again. shout outs to the SF location, you all really know what you're doing! For the most part, I love AE. I have been shopping there for awhile and can generally find some good clothing items. Plus their artist jeans are a perfect fit for me, always. My ass looks fantastic. Huge plus. However, this AE is crap. None of the employees give a shit. Need a fitting room? Impossible? Need some assistance with sizing? Impossible. Looking for something that was online in store? Very impossible. All the employees are too busy chatting with one another about their wasted weekends or who they hooked up with. Hellooooo, thats a big no no. I am standing right here! I'd also appreciate if you could ask me how my day is going and thank me for my purchase. I mean, fuck, those are customer service basics. I love AE, but I don't love this AE. I went in with my dad a few weeks ago and he wanted to purchase a pair of denims that were supposedly on sale for $20, but one of the nasty & rude sales associate said it wasn't on sale and it cost $50. We were fine with that, because $50 was too much to spend on pants anyways. He told her he had changed his mind and while we were heading out towards the door, the cashier and her co-worker started laughing at us, as if they were somehow better than us. And as if we were too poor to buy the pants and they felt bad for us. I generally never write reviews, but even thinking about this god-forsaken store makes my blood boil. Maybe if the managers paid a little more attention to who they were hiring, they would get more customers. Last time I checked, their store was the emptiest of them all. I've never had a bad experience at American Eagle like today. I'm not sure if she was the manager or just an employee but her name was Cynthia. She was very rude, unprofessional, and just getting in people's business. When I had walked in the store I had a return to make, so she told me that she could hold my returns but I was very confused because that has never happened to me and I was still looking.. anyways she ended up saying "oh no sorry your still looking" like yeah we had just walked in the store and she only said that because I looked at her with a confused face. Also when my sister was looking, the girl Cynthia just had an eye on her like if she looked suspicious & it made us feel very uncomfortable. once I finish paying, my sister was also paying with a different employee and he was actually being nice and my sister had asked him if the 30-60% worked for the jeans she was buying and the girl Cynthia just jumped into the conversation telling me that it's just online that it needs a code in order to use it. I just felt it was none of her business because no one was talking her and the way she was saying it was very rude. I don't think anyone should feel the way we felt today like if she was targeting us. read more

I agree with Elizabeth B & Katie C on this one. I was one of 2 shoppers in the store and there were 5 visible staff on the floor. I received no acknowledgment other than having one of the workers come rushing over after I began looking through a stack of jeans for my size. I wasn't making a mess, I was simply trying to find the right size and she immediately tried to fold some jeans right on top of me. The atmosphere in the particular AE is very frosty, and they made me feel as if I shouldn't be looking or through the merchandise. What a disappointment! At least the neighboring Aerie has positive and friendly workers to turn around my negative feelings about the company, but that's another review for another time. read more

SHE BLAMED MY MOM FOR THE PROBLEM. They got in a fight. After about 7 minutes of arguing, we left. On our way out, the two dumbasses started laughing at us. We couldn't return our stuff. Love everything here. The clothe's are great and there are always great deals to be found. If you sign up for the emails/newsletters they send extra 30-40% off deals. The selection of clothing can be compared to Hollister and Abercrombie maybe even a little Aeropostale but it has a more casual look, not so stiff. If that makes sense? I'm a fan of the (Men's) cargo shorts. They look and feel exactly like the Abercrombie cargo shorts but are only like $49? maybe $39? My emails tell me when there is an all shorts $25 weekend and then I go in a stock up. So far I have bought 3 for my younger brother, 2 for the other brother and 1 pair for the hubby but looking to buy him more since they go with about everything. The women's clothing is awesome as well and after your purchase here they give you a promo code to use across the hall at Aerie for a percentage off your purchase from there for that day. Sweet! This location in general is usually nice and organized, and they give you an extra 10% off at the checkout for checking in via Facebook! Awesome! The only con to this store is that the fitting rooms are always full and it takes a while to flag someone down to open up the doors if there is one available but other then that, very pleasant experiences at this store all around. I know I dont look like the typical american eagle shopper but I actually really like their clothes. Well it seems I'm treated like crap at every store I go to, oh well. I have tattoos and I've got a rocker style, get over it. I REALLY dig these threads... But when I walked into this store... JUST WOW! I've been here before and there were 2 boys working who were so sweet and really helpful and doing a great job at making me feel special with the compliments and what not... LOL! But the other day I walked in. Two girls were standing in the front yack yack yacking away like they weren't at work or anything. One girl looks right at me and I guess it's my fault for thinking she was acknowledging me... so I said "hello" to her as if responding to her "hello" Only thing, she didn't say hello. Was I just moded to think she was about to acknowledge me and saying Hi to her first??? It was the most awkward 5 seconds I've experienced in retail... EVER. So even after I said Hi to her... still no Hi back. Just a look of disgust like why am I even talking to her. So she starts yacking back with her friends so whatever. I just walk in and shop around. As I'm leaving this poor customer is asking this same girl where something is. Instead of walking her to where it was (something I ALWAYS did in retail) she just kind of rudely points to where it is. So the customer is obviously confused as to where she's pointing to and asks her "where?" This b*tch straight YELLED at her. I'm not even over exaggerating, YELLS at this poor girl "RIGHT THERE!" repeatedly I'm sorry but what the hell is "right there" mean.... So the customer still can't find it and I really don't blame her. I mean sometimes people can really be that dumb but even so you don't get that pissed that fast with someone unless you yourself have some sort of major malfunction, which this girl obviously did... her tone only become more rude YELLS at her "ON THE TABLE" Wow. I've seen some things before but never that rude that fast and for really no good of a reason. I don't want to hear the excuse that "retail sucks" because I worked retail and I loved my job. It does suck but that doesn't mean you have to drag everyone else down with you. A majority of the public are DUMB and genuinely need your help, but you're just proving to yourself and to the entire world that you're the one who's really the dummy here. Trust me girl... you really ain't all that. Like... REALLY ain't all that. So why would you act like that, knowing people are going to have that judgement of you just looking at you, wouldn't you want to act pleasant and want people to like you? Just saying. Let me start off with the fact that I loooooooove American Eagle, definitely my favorite place to shop. The reason for my 3 stars, though, is that this particular store is probably the worst I've been in, especially since there is no Aerie in the mall anymore. My recommendation is that you come in wearing AE clothing, the sales people will be nicer to you if you do. They also never ever ever have the "short" size jeans, but will have the "extra-long" jeans. The other issue is that there is rarely a staff member covering the dressing rooms, so you'll wait and wait and wait for someone to show up and let you in a room. The only reason I'll go into this store is if I happen to be in the mall with friends, otherwise all my AE apparel comes from online (which has so much more selection). read more
