This place is amazing. We started going here years ago for gluten free pizza for my son who has Celiac. We continue to return because they are consistently delicious, waitstaff is always very friendly and accomodating. If there are ever any issues, one time a burnt crust one an edge of our pizza,before we even spoke of it, they were making us a new one along with a free small cheese for our trouble. The management handed us a gift card tonight for our trouble because there were kids running around our table and dancing. He said it was not the Flatbread way and he recognized us from being frequent customers, he wants us to come back. Although that was not necessary, we appreciated the gesture. Amazing place. What the hell is wrong with this place?!? I live less than a mile down the road. I have been there 3 times over the past 2 months. Two of those times I left without ever ordering food. The first time, my wife and I sat at the bar for 15 minutes while the bartender chatted up the ONLY OTHER CUSTOMER THERE while ignoring us. Last night we went there (and while it was much busier) a different bartender again ignored us for the first 10 (or more) minutes we were there. He finally came over, asked what we'd like to drink, took our order, and then promptly disappeared for another 10 minutes, running around the restaurant doing everything BUT tending bar. When he finally came back it was to inform my wife that they didn't have the wine she wanted, after which he threw a drink menu at her and disappeared AGAIN! Again I have to ask... what is wrong with this place? Who is running it? Why is it such a dumpster fire? I like the food. I'd go there and spend money...but it's clear they don't want my money. So instead I'll go elsewhere and pretend that this place doesn't exist, like so many other people in town do. read more

Me and my family love Flatbread pizza. We've been to all the locations in the Massachusetts area. This location in Georgetown has us concerned. The food is not consistent, kind of hit or miss, maybe depending on who is heading up the cooking. Last week we had an issue that I hope is not franchise wide. They have changed the Lemonade..We always ask for the homemade lemonade it's made with fresh squeezed lemon juice & maple syrup and it taste great, we always always order the homemade lemonade, without fail. The bartender in Georgetown had to explain to us what happened after our complaint that the lemonade just didn't taste right....they now use organic lemon juice from a carton, of some type, it taste like Minute Maid lemonade and it is a far cry from the original fresh squeezed lemonade that we are used to from Flatbread. If this is any indication of the evolutionary path of where Flatbread is headed I am worried. Seriously Hidden Gem...like I mean hidden, it is literally inside the Black Swan Golf Club and you can only see the signage from the road. That said, there REALLY IS a Flatbread Pizza Co at the Golf Club (it is its own entity too, so don't worry about getting fancy or anything). Just pull into the Golf Club and you will see the separate door for Flatbread. Husband and I used to hit up the Flatbread Pizza Co in Amesbury and loved it. When we moved to Andover, we were hunting for a place like this close by, and randomly found this location driving through Georgetown. It is as good as the Amesbury location, complete with the fantastic Flatbread Pizza Co Wood Fired Oven, charm and ambiance. The salad, pizza (Jimmy's Free Range Chicken with added pineapple and red onion and The Georgetown Community Flatbread-yum) and dessert were fantastic. The beer list was great! Are prices are a bit higher than your local pizza place? Sure...but the pizza here is A LOT better, with WAY better ingredients...and lets be honest, those things cost more! This is an excellent family place that is perfect to take the kiddos to. The service was friendly across the board! We will definitely be heading back soon! read more

This is a different group than the Amesbury, Bedford, Portsmouth and Portland Restaurants, just so people are clear on who they are comparing to with reviews. The company split and some remained American Flatbread and some Flatbread Company. I think the changes were subtle but I did notice some differences last time we visited Georgetown. Still not going to pan them, as the kids and I enjoyed the meal. Service was excellent! read more

Flatbread's food is high-quality, fresh and always delicious pizza , but this location (have been to Amesbury many times and this one as well) seems to have some management issues. More than once I have waited too long for either a table (when there were plenty open) or the food, or the pizza was wrong, and other things. For instance, went there last Wed. night (yes given it was Thanksgiving eve, so busier than normal) My girlfriend and I sat at the bar, ordered our pizza and it was close to an hour before we spoke up looking for our order. We were given the reason that "there were lots of takeouts, therefore why the long wait". Well--that says that we were taking second place to the takeouts. We received a coupon for a free flatbread, and apologies, which is nice, but the experience is ruined when this happens. They always try to make up, and servers are gracious, but I don't know why this keeps happening. Guys, you have a good thing going---what is going on??? read more

Don't waste your money. Over priced. No children's menu. Nothing other than pizza (which Georgetown already has 5 pizza places). Gluten free pizza was disgusting and barely cooked. Cost me an additional $7 just for gf. My sons regular cheese n tomato no frills pizza was undercooked as well and $15! Wine is overpriced and no options to speak of. $3 for a kids soda. Too bad there are so many "charity fundraisers" in town here because I won't go back to support them. read more

My husband and I went out to the spot in Georgetown for a quick bite. After waiting 30 minutes for our pork belly taco appetizer... There are several empty tables - no excuses. We left and headed to flatbreads. We had two lovely beverages at the bar enjoyed a delicious salad and the steak potato and caramelized onion Carne special. Everything was delicious! Towards the end of our meal the manager came over and recognized me from a previous review that wasn't so great. I was very impressed that the manager was able to remember my face from yelp despite having many reviews in many customers come in and out of the restaurant daily. That says a lot about manager's desire to have excellent customer service. It also showed that they wanted us to have a better time than the last... I was taken off guard however I couldn't get it out of my head that the manager remembered me from over a year ago coming into the old restaurant. With that kind of customer service and care for returning customers this place will not only succeed but have "regulars" and thrive in Gtown!!! read more

What a joke! Walked in at 5:45 on Monday night. The bar was filled with dirty plates and glasses, no one sitting at the bar. Asked the bartender if he could wipe the bar in front of us as it was dirty and he was just going to put napkins down. We order two small pizzas, one came 10 minutes before the other. so one was getting cold as we waited for the other. The bartender had no clue about service or waiting on people. Never came back to check on our pizza's or ask if we wanted more drinks. In fact he never came back to us at all. Never saw a manager which is something they need badly considering the disgusting look of the bar. Could be a really nice place but someone needs to wake up. First off, the 3 star rating had nothing to do with the food or service. When we walked in we saw the pizza oven and open kitchen. Cute decor. We were seated in the main dining room in a booth. We ordered 2 small pizzas. One was Roasted Red Pepper, Red Onion and Mushroom with tomato sauce. The other was the Homemade Sausage Pizza with tomato sauce. 12" pizzas, perfectly cooked and delicious!!! The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I had a nice glass of Chardonnay. Not cheap but good quality. My friend had a Southern Comfort Manhattan that she said was perfectly mixed. Now for the bad news. The noise level made my ears bleed. Seriously, this place is so noisy you can't hear yourself think!!! It wasn't crowded and no one was being rowdy, but the decor has nothing soft to absorb sound. Tile floors, wood walls and drywall ceilings make sound bounce. I was able to hear someone across the room talking like they were sitting next to me, but couldn't hear the person I was sitting with! I mentioned it to our waitress and she suggested that we sit at a high-top in the bar next time, as that is quieter. We'll try that, as the food was good enough to chance another headache. read more

We came around 6:30 it took awhile for the food but, we came with my little brother and sister and my dad's friends who also have little kids and we got a room to ourselves and they brought out this huge teddy bear and they played on it and I mean it was a HUGE teddy bear and they loved it, rolling around on it. They sat more people in our room but it didn't matter they still played. The pizza came around 7:30 and it was GREAT I would definitely be back here it is worth the wait. The food was quite good and fresh. Salads were awesome, but only one dressing, which we all liked. The pizzas were great. Service was still a bit disorganized, but when we asked for our second round (the first Round was slow as well) our pizzas were comped. Sept 6th, Sundat night, decide to do Flatbreads. Call for takeout of 2 pizzas, its an hour wait. Personally, I would not wait an hour for a takeout pizza, but the group is set on Flatbreads. We order a sausage and mushroom and a free range chicken and pick up exactly at 1 hour as instructed. Sausage was barely warm but ok. The free range chicken was dead cold, hard and inedible, it truly must have been hour or more old. It had hardly any ingredients; little chicken, almost no corn but it wasn't important as it was it edible and no could eat it. My advice would be upon receiving your takeout pizza, open the box then and there to determine the quality. Dont wait till you get home and discover you just paid 20 plus dollars for an inedible pizza. We left it out for the racoons. read more

If I wasn't a semi regular, and just walked in off the street, I'd probably be disappointed, because you have to know what you are getting into with Flatbread. It's just pizza. Not only that, it's organic (or as I call it hippy-dippy) pizza. So if you walk in there not prepared for that I could see you being disappointed HOWEVER, if you know what you are getting into I think you will enjoy it. What is going on over there? Got a pizza a couple of days ago and the bottom was burnt black! The burnt part was so thick it peeled off. Called and complained, got a replacement and the bottom of this one was either raw or burnt. Always went to the one in Amesbury before this one came to town and I guess that's where I'll go from now on because the Georgetown Flatbread does not have it together! So sad. read more

My boyfriend and I came here during a dinner rush. This is my first time coming to this location. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. We were seated right away. The salad we ordered was awesome. At first I was skeptical about a ginger dressing, but I immediately loved it. It had so much flavor to it and spice! The cheese pizza was well cooked, very flavorful as well. When you come to this place, you'll definitely know the difference between oven cooked pizza and frozen pizza. The taste from the oven is phenomenal, and the salad and dressing were good too. Overall, you can definitely tell that the ingredients are fresh and organic. This is my new favorite pizza place. Should be 0 stars. Poor management. Open on a holiday weekend with 2 cooks, a hostess and a bartender to run the entire place. We were quoted 20 minutes. They sat everyone else that came in after us. A customer walked in and asked if they were open and the hostess with the curly hair and glasses said they were. When the women went and got her family and came back in that was when the hostess mentioned how understaffed they were so the woman left and the hostess started making fun of her right out In the open. We waited an hour and left. Our family were the only ones waiting with an entire empty restaurant. I asked if we could sit and at least have drinks while we waited and no one would accommodate even that. This is an example of poor management and poor planning on their part. If you are going to be open on a holiday weekend, check to see if other restaurants in town will be open or not. This was a missed opportunity for your business. I completely understand an understaffed restaurant...it happens. But this was more than that. This was an example of no one taking the time to plan for a holiday weekend. Unacceptable to run a business this way. We watched, waited and were ignored for an hour before we took our business elsewhere. First time here-- we always go to the Flatbread in Amesbury, but I was not up to running across the waterfall there in the frigid cold and wind! We were offered the high chairs, but due to my son's special needs, we were accommodated right away with a booth that could seat more than our party of four. Thank you, Flatbread!! It made our evening so enjoyable because we take a chance every time we take him out to dinner. My young adolescent child, who is autistic, had a great view of the oven and there was plenty of space between the two of us on our side of the booth, across from my husband and daughter. The food came out quickly, a big plus for us. Oh, and it was delicious, of course. The server was super and we had a fantastic family night. Thanks! read more

I've always had a great experience at Flatbread in Georgetown, MA. but last night wasn't the case. I called in an order and got there early and ordered a beer at the bar while I waited. Not a lot of customers in the bar on a Tuesday night so it seemed the bartender was pulling double duty in the dinning room. When it came to pay my bar bill (1 beer $9) she was nowhere to be found. I finally had to ask two servers if they could help me pay my bill they both said they would have to track down the bartender. They did and she came over and instead of processing the cash and check into the bar's register she went to the takeout counter to process the transaction, or so I thought. She came back and said " here I made change for the $20 bill" (10, 5 & 5 1"s), um ok. So I left the amount of the beer and a tip (force of habit). All this took about ten minutes, again it wasn't busy. Then I went and got my take out order, 1 large pizza and 1 small (total $40.00). When I got home and looked at the small pizza the toppings where so scarce I had to add my own. The small had three veggie toppings and chicken (with no cheese/my preference) all for $16.50. For the price they charge I expect more from the product and service. I know it was a Tuesday night so I'm sure it wasn't the A team on staff. read more

Literally the worst service I've ever received. I will drive the extra 10 miles to Amesbury every dang time now. We arrived and were told 30-35 mins for a table for 2 .... we waited OVER an hour. Parties that came in after us were seated first, we were told we were next and another party went first. It seemed to be who you knew to get seated. And at that point it was already too late to leave and go elsewhere so we unhappily stuck it out. We ordered drinks at the bar and they made one but completely forgot the other one we ordered. It was two simple drinks. Once seated we didn't get a waitress so I had to go to the hostess stand and ask for a waitress. Now once we got one she was great... sweet as can be, but it can't overcome the awful hostess/waiting/no waitress situation. I also ordered a second drink (same one) and was given something different. At that point not worth the discussion or asking for a new one. I will never come back here even for take out. I wanted to leave 1 star but the pizza and the fact they have GF crust they rise up to 2. read more

Got takeout last week. The pizza was horrible. Lame crust that is under cooked and all 3 types of Za had a very sweet flavor to them. First and last time. Not a fan. Port Pizza and Oreganos in N.P. 15 mins away are ten times better. Good luck selling only pizza and salads from a country club. For me, dining is about the whole picture. The food. The service. The prices. The ambiance. The parking. And anything "extra." And that's why Flatbread immediately won me over. I was passing by their place at lunchtime when their cute signage caught my eye. That, and the name "Flatbread." ('Cause who doesn't love a good pizza when their hungry?) Parking was easy and close to the first-floor entrance. I walked in and immediately smiled. The rustic style, warm temperature (on a cold rainy New England day), and spacious rectangular bar (with bar stools I'd like to add to my own) invited me in. The wall near the bar displayed cute chalk boards with large lettering, making it easy to read to day's meat pizza and veggie pizza specials. I'm a bar girl. (I like to sit at the bar for everything; my husband and I rarely dine in a restaurant living room.) I sat down and the bartender, Tara, quickly greeted me and handed me a menu. I was pleased to discover the the rustic wooden bar stools were just as comfortable as they were cute. I also loved that the bar itself was wide and spacious, too. It allowed for plenty of room for placement of flatbreads. I forgot to check for a purse hooks under the bar (which I consider essential), because it wasn't crowded, so I had plopped my purse on the bar stool right next to me. I immediately ordered a GF pizza with their house made pepperoni, and ordered a regular crust pizza to take home to my groom that had house made sweet Italian sausage on it. Yes. You read that right. Homemade pepperoni & sausage. How many pizza joints can boast of that? Flatbread's philosophy obviously is in line with all things healthy. Their menu boasts of the goodness of all their ingredients (with descriptions such as GF, organic, homemade, nitrate-free, preservative free, non-GMO, etc.). And guess what? They're tasty, too! Healthy tasty food in minutes, in a very cool environment. How 'bout that? Tara's service was friendly and impeccable. When I asked for a glass of chardonnay, she quickly asked, "oaked or unoaked?" That may not seem like a big deal to most, but I thought it was a nice touch for a pizza place, even if it *is* a *gourmet* pizza place. In addition to those traditional factor that influence my preference on a restaurant, Flatbread showed off plenty of extras. First, Tara showed me their private party room, which was plenty spacious. It's free to rent, and it's close enough to the bar that people can make their way from the party room to the bar within a few steps. Key. Next, the menu boasted of the restaurants social consciousness in supporting local kids. They have Benefit Night once a week. A portion of the proceeds of the restaurant's sales on Tuesday nights is donated back to certain local causes (mostly associated with youth sports teams). Finally, I love the "free WiFi" as an extra benefit to dining there. That means I can stop by again and do some work at the bar! Wonderful! Too many restaurants miss out on lunch patrons by not offering a spacious bar with free WiF. Luckily, this restaurant had the foresight to accommodate so many of us who are on the road for work, and want an alternative to Panera for a working lunch. This restaurant is over an hour away from me, but I can assure you . . . it's well worth the trip. I'll be back for sure! read more
