I don't ordinarily travel three quarters of an hour for a cheeseburger. My buddy said it was worth the drive. So we drove 45 minutes to hit this pub that serves 100 different kinds of hamburgers. Our waitress was extremely patient and attentive, returning to the table several times to see if we were ready to order, and laughing each time we said " I'm still reading this thing." I had a blue cheese and bacon burger ($16). He had a Hawaiian ($16). We both ordered medium-rare and upgraded from the included fries to the onion rings ($4) And really, perfection was delivered. The food was fresh and hot. Obviously not held under a heat lamp. The burger bun was soft and fresh, sturdy enough to stand up to the juiciness of the patty. The burger was perfectly formed. Thick and fitting the bun all around... no slop. The toppings were delicious. On the side of the dish, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Both burgers were perfectly medium-rare. Pink from edge to edge. (I suspect sous-vide in use, otherwise, magic.) What can I say about the onion rings? I usually don't get onion rings because they are usually a soggy, greasy, slimy disappointment. I don't know why I upgraded but I'm glad I did because they were the best onion rings I've ever had. Hot. Crispy. No grease. No murdered onion falling out of breading falling apart. The dessert sundae looked sooo good. But that burger and rings had filled all available space. We drank only ice water, and with tax and tip the whole thing came out to $51. We were in the area and thought this place sounded cool with the 97 different burgers. We got there a little after noon on a Saturday and were sat right away. The bar area was PACKED. Our server was very prompt and brought our drinks right away and gave us plenty of time and space to look over the options. I got the bacon burger with cheddar cheese and my husband got the royale with cheese. It did take a while for the food to come out, but they were pretty busy and we were not in a rush. The bacon on both burgers was cooked perfectly and I liked how the pickles, lettuce and tomato's were on the side so you can pick what you like to put on. My burger was delicious and it's a huge portion. They are seasoned well! I also think you should splurge for the onion rings as they were amazing. The fries were good, but needed some seasoning. I'm only giving 3 stars because my husband likes this home of 97 burger toppings. I hope never to return. The menu is primarily burgers. Supposedly you can swap beef for chicken or turkey. Both times I asked for turkey but they were out. The waitress was nice which is a plus. I ended up with a salad (iceberg lettuce mostly) with "grilled" shrimp. There were a reasonable number of shrimp on skewers, unfortunately small and dry. This is mostly a bar with a few tables, some tv's and Keno. It was overall, ok, just not for me. read more

First time here with a friend and we sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and quick. The food and drinks tasted good. But I will never be back due to how unsanitary it is. Their idea of washing the cups is dipping them in soapy water then "clean" water then putting on a drying rack. When she was getting fruit for my garnish on my drink she SMELLED the fruit in a mason jar and was moving it around apparently looking for mold or something. As I'm sitting right there watching. My husband and I visited Pub 97 this past weekend and had a pleasant experience. We were promptly greeted by a host when we entered the restaurant. We opted to sit at the bar, which we never do, but it looked inviting. The host told us to make ourselves comfortable and brought us menus. The bartender came right over to greet us and get our drinks started. I went with a cosmopolitan with Tito's and my husband had a Guinness. My drink was good and strong. We then started with the chicken tenders with a side of teriyaki and General Tso sauces. They were yummy. The breading was light and the chicken was moist, white meat. We both ordered burgers and fries, despite the tempting specials they had listed. I got a regular cheeseburger and my husband had the meat lovers. The burgers we're big and juicy and cooked to our requested temperatures. My hubby devoured his. I brought half mine home, as it was large and I was full from the appetizer. We had another round of drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere. I'll have to grab pictures on our next visit, as I didn't want to be that person taking pictures of my food at the bar. Cozy and homey. If you're looking for a great burger and more topping options than you can count them this is your place! We waited about 30 minutes for our table for four. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Lots of seasonal cocktails! The Pumpkin Martini was delicious! We started with the Fried Pickles-crunchy and zesty! We all loved them. My husband had the Rangoon Burger with yes, two Crab Rangoons right on top! I had the Rodeo Burger with BBQ sauce, cheddar and onion rings on top. Both burgers were cooked perfectly, juicy and so tasty. My husband's lettuce and tomato were a slight up charge. My only critique of the burger would be that grilling the bun would have been nice. Clam chowder... minus the clams. There was not a single piece of a clam and this is not even a full bowl. We are totally disappointed in the quality of the food. We were in recently to watch our friends band play. We were seated and greeted right away. Got our drinks in a timely fashion. However it felt like they wanted us gone as quick as possible. 97 burgers on the menu and the waitress came over after dropping our drinks, and said ready to order? My brothers comment " was o no way we're gonna need a bit look at all these burgers!" His tone was excited/cheerful. Her response "great one of these tables" and stormed off. I'm sorry if you have 97 burgers on your menu could we get a little bit to read through them, enjoy our drinks then decide? This doesn't seem like the worst thing in the world. Mind you we were there at 545. The place started to clear out around 6 and we placed our order about 610. The order 3 burgers a salad a chicken sandwich, and a kids chicken tender. We didn't see our food until 720. Over an hour with a place that was clearing out. I know they were busy and we're probably catching up but it was not a difficult order. Now with 97 burgers I'd expect that to be this places specialty. Boy was I WRONG. All ordered same temp mid rare. They came out well well done. It was like eating sand, even with the toppings I had to drown it in ketchup. Waitress finally graced us with her presence after we were done and asked how it was. I just said ehhh ok. PUB 97- utter disgrace! I used to love this place as it has 97 Burgers to choose from and was extremely disappointed with my experience today! My wife and I stopped in and had a drink and each ordered a burger cooked rare. Mind you, I expect it to come out med rare to medium as it is hard to cook rare, but I was no pleased when I cut it in half to see a well done burger. I take one bite and it was super dry. Mind you, I ordered a burger with kielbasa and beer cheese on top, and it had very little cheese at all. My wife's burger was a perfect rare. When I showed the waitress, she saw it was overcooked but claimed they do not guarantee temperatures of their burgers so I could get a salad but not a burger. I asked to speak to the manager. She came back with a menu saying they do not guarantee their burgers. And also said I complained last time, which I did not. She finally went to get the owner/cook who came out and called me petty and that the burger was rare in the middle and would I like him to bring the burger out and have the rest of the bar agree with him that it is rare. He said I complained last nite which I disagreed with and he said he'd believe his waitress before believing me. I wanted to just end the conversation as he was attacking me so I said we were leaving. The waitress came back and said no tab. She still had half of her good burger left and wanted a box to take it home. She came back with a box and a bill for the burger that she first said no tab for and said if we were taking it home we were now obligated for the burger. Splurge once a month. So we got the lobster roll ($21) and chicken tender platter ($14). If I'm spending that much money I'm expecting it to be a lot of food and delicious. (We always tip normally on take out). It was hardly mediocre. The lobster roll wasn't seasoned. Bun was eh. And lobster was warm? We assume everything was frozen. Hit and a miss Really disappointed. I had held off on reviewing because the first time I went there I thought I must've caught the hostess/bartender/owner's wife on a bad day. I went there again and found out that, nope, this actually is the rudest person I've ever met in the restaurant business. She was rude to my whole family. I honestly thought cameras were going to come out of the back to tell us we were being pranked. The burgers are just OK. The beer is warm, flat and poorly-poured. The place is dirty and sticky. Honestly kinda shocked with the poor reviews on this place. Damn you people are heartless. My family and I popped in today for our first dining out experience since the plague and were IMPRESSED. It was my moms birthday and my uncle raves about this place. He loves the mushroom burger and brings it up on a regular basis. Growing up in the town over, I've been here a few times for drinks in the past, but never have tried the food. The "new normal" set up was perfect. Picnic tables with umbrellas all spread out. My mom is extra and requested to be sat further away from other diners, sorry for being those people. We ordered two burgers, two fish and chips, and a chicken ceasar wrap. UM YUM. Everything was great, including the service. I work in the industry and these are difficult times. Thank you pub 97 for delivering and showing the rest of us how it should be done. First 97 burgers... oh yeah! The selection is huge and the combinations are amazing! I just have to say, the service started out very good. The recommendation by the waitress was excellent (for burgers and drinks). For some reason the service took a nose dive. We had to ask for our waitress to get our check. Had just enough for one ring and a bufffao cauliflower bite per person. For $12 it should be loaded. Burger was ok, cooked well done when I ordered medium. When I asked to have it remade, was told grill was shut down. They did comp it for me though. The bacon was literally the thinnest slice of bacon I've ever seen and the triple cheese was marginally there. If they changed things slightly, gave better value and used some better ingredients for the toppers they'd have a winner. Have been to Pub 97 a number of times. A few of those times we were asked to change our seats after we were already sat, so the staff could vacuum the rug before closing... The kitchen closes at 9pm, we were there at 8pm and asked to move our seats so they would vacuum the rug an hour before closing... We continued to go back after the above happened a few times, figureing it was just the young wait staff being immature, wasn't that big of a deal. Then we went on $.50 wing night and one time we were told we couldn't order the full amount of wings we wanted, after being told we could get as many as we wanted??? umm what??? Went another time and after ordering a bunch of wings and not finishing them, we were told we couldn't bring them home, because the $.50 deal was for in house only?!?! WTF? I could understand if we ordered them as take out, but we ordered them and ate them at the restaurant and rather than throw the left overs away, apparently that night our eyes were bigger than our stomach. Some places need a gimmick. Pub 97 has a 97-burger menu (and another menu with regular food on it). The burgers are hand-formed, not frozen, but just enough overcooked not to be sent back. The staff are just competent. There were no towels in the men's room (but it was clean). They have keno (the lottery is a tax on people who are bad at math) and so many televisions (having them outside the bar costs a star), so nobody has to talk to their companions. It's probably the best restaurant within 20 minutes of there. read more

I just got off the phone trying to place a take-out order, and whomever I was speaking to had the worst attitude toward a customer I have ever experienced. Starting with the positives, service wan't too bad, they had a large selection of burgers, and they where all pretty good combinations.
