Pepperoni pizza large
Philip S.

Put it on your list of places to try when in the area. I spotted this location on yelp before heading down there. The pizza looked great and the reviews made it look seem even more promising. I must say, I was not disappointed. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza for the crew and a slice of the bbq habanero and chicken Alfredo for myself. Little did I know....when you order a slice you actually get two cloves annnnnddddddd your choice of one soda, tea or bottled water. I imagine this is probably listed on the menu but I was hungry and my stomach was talking louder than my eyes. I called in my order. He got it right the first time with no questions. I showed up just as it was coming out the oven. Service was really great and the guy seemed as happy as I was to see him with my food. The ambiance kinda threw me as this place was not packed and based on the food and service I can't really imagine why not??? Either way it was perfect for my and the family and if I'm in the area again I will for sure stop by.

I stopped by here because I had a good experience at the other location at CSUCI recently. They are the same company because they share the same website, but each have slightly different menus. The location in Central Camarillo is in a good shopping complex, but has stiff competition with PizzaMan Dan's nearby. This location also has a smaller indoor restaurant and no TVs for entertainment. The service was quick and my food came out in 15-20 minutes. I forgot to take photos of my food, but I ordered a slice of cheese pizza and their baked mac and cheese (a little bummed that they didn't make mac n cheese bites like the CSUCI location). In summary, the food is good and priced fairly. I hope they stay in business with all the competition of restaurants in this shopping complex.

Philly steak sandwich

I ordered a what I thought was a Philly cheese sandwich and it was the worst looking Sandwich sloppy put together. So disappointed

A nice middle of the road pizza spot in Camarillo. I've been passing by this spot and had been curious to give it a try. It's located in the back end of Camarillo so it's not easily accessible as I guess more locals and residents know about this spot as it's away from the downtown area and a couple minutes off the freeway. Either way it's nice to have another pizza spot in town. I can't speak to the ambiance or in person service as I had the meal delivered but credit given for my order being packaged correctly and no missing items. Happy anytime my order is correct so I appreciate that. Also pricing wasn't too bad as it came to about $35 for a pizza and appetizer, remember this isn't a big chain so nice to support a local business which will come with prices being a little higher. Decided to give this spot 4 stars as a total. The pizza was about 3.5/5 and the mozzarella sticks were 5/5 stars all day long. The pizza was average, no frills and just fine. If you want a traditional pizza that will hit the spot this will do. I felt the sauce & cheese flavor was middle of the road but the meat toppings were good and plentiful. Would I crave their pizza? No. But was I satisfied with it? Yes. I would just say this wouldn't be in my top 5 pizza spots that are local. However, the mozzarella sticks were awesome! So freakin good! I love a square cheesy mozzarella stick. Super cheesy and had a great crunch. Delicious. Probably one of the better pizza spot appetizers I've had. They also have the good ranch, yay! I would get these again for sure. Better than the pizza in my opinion, a tasty cheat day snack.

Order a Meat Lover medium pizza to go. Pizza was ready when I arrived. Staff is friendly and quick. I got the original crust, and I think the crust is a bit tough. Can't imagine what the thin crust would be like. However the toppings are delicious and ample amount. Located in a big shopping complex, so parking isn't a problem. There are a few tables inside, but looks like most customers would get to go orders.

Pesto Parmesan prosciutto pizza pictured on menu

The pizza was tasty, but it was so different from what was pictured on the menu, it was a total let down. My photo is after I asked them for more arugula and Parmesan. Initially, it had about ten arugula leaves and no Parmesan. Instead of the sliced Parmesan pictured, they added the crumbled shelf-stable Parmesan. The slices of pizza we got were run back through the oven, but for far too long. Finally, the pastrami sandwich seemed to have more veggies on it than pastrami.

Burnt pizza with more black bubbles than cheese and tomato. Big disappointment after spending almost $40 on the great meal deal.

There were a couple people already waiting in line when we arrived, but no one at the register. After a few more minutes the people ahead of us got tired of waiting and left. We had already had our minds set on a few menu items to try so we waited. The team member who took our order was very nice but a bit slow at the register. We weren't in a rush, so it didn't really bother us. The husband was quite hungry, so we ended up over-ordering -- House Chips & Cheese, Potato Bacon Pizza, Short-Rib Melt and Pastrami. It all came our pretty fast and it was ALOT (lol)! The House Chips were generous, fresh and tasty. The Potato Bacon pizza was delicious! The sandwiches, although flavorful, were kinda skimpy. We felt that we were biting into mostly bread. The fries were hot and super crispy. Service was great overall. There's a flat screen TV in the middle of the dining room that was showing college football. I liked that takeout boxes for leftovers were easily accessible to everyone. There's ample seating inside and several picnic tables at the shared area outside. The layout is nice with three connected establishments -- Freda's, Rori's and Topa Topa. Something for the entire family! :)

Their employee Christian took our order immediately and was very patient and efficiently accommodated our requests for adding basil and cooking it well done. While waiting we were able to explore the menus of the ice cream vendor and beer promoter as there are no walls separating each business. Wonderful idea that accommodates groups with more options when visiting the establishment. After about 10 minutes Christian came out to inform us they had run out of mushrooms...then asked if we'd like to try their highly requested potato and bacon...we welcomed the possibility. He then very kindly brought us out delicious restaurant made potato chips and cheese dip, on the house, since he felt we had waited so long for our pizza. He immediately struck me as a very kindly brought and considerate young man...something that seems rare these days...especially when viewing society as a senior citizen. I highly recommend the quality of the pizza and enjoyed the service provided as well.

It was actually bad, the crust kinda reminded me of when the kids were little and we took them to Chuck E Cheese. Regardless, the beer was good and even though it was packed Saturday night, we didn't have any issues finding a table.

That was a HH the likes of which will never be seen again. But I digress...TODAY is today! Great, private parking lot with easy in/out. We came in for a lovely dinner and got just that. Seated immediately and in a comfy booth along the wall, perfect for people watching. SO. MANY. PEOPLE! I wasn't expecting a restaurant to be so full on a Tuesday night, but when you're as good as Ottavio's you develop a loyal following of locals who enjoy their time here. Many celebrations were obviously being had in just our little portion of the restaurant. There are multiple rooms, accommodating various sized parties, and the hot, delicious Italian faire just kept coming. Fresh, warm bread was delivered with our water and we dove into that doughy deliciousness strait away. Hubs went with a 50/50 plate of spaghetti and cheese ravioli with a meat sauce and added meatballs. I snuck a bite of the meatballs and they were very good, as was the sauce. I opted for the Tortellini Silvana, which was described as cheese tortellini w/sauteed chicken, fresh spinach, basil and sun dried tomato cream sauce. It was FABulous! Light and delicate sauce with full flavor. A generous portion, I took about 1/2 home! Our entrees each came with a choice of soup or salad. Hubs chose Italian Wedding and I went with Minestrone. (Side note: I knew well and good I would be having 2 soups, so I wanted to try both. ;-D) Both were made from scratch and delicious! I was impressed with how fluid the staff worked along side one another. Drinks then food then boxing and the check and - voila! - table turned and on to the next group, all while maintaining a welcoming and pleasurable attitude and friendly service. We are sure to have another meal here, next time we're craving old school Italian, homemade, handed down family recipes in Camarillo. Cheers! "CC"

Very much so. I love Detroit style pizza and they are one of the few in town who do it. And it's pretty good. But $35 for 6 pieces is a bit rich. Weekdays they have a deal for a large pepperoni or cheese pizza with 3 meatballs and two cookies for 35 bucks. Pretty fair. Cookies like the junk you get in a tube. Definitely not respecting that craft. Bummer is you can't modify it with less or no cheese. You have to call them and deal with some AI robot and when you finally get connected to a human it's too late half the time. Really wish they would fix this. But I'm never surprised when a 13-time world champion pizzaiola franchises this kind of thing and doesn't work out the most basic of bugs. Another bonus is the rewards program. At least you get something back at some point for the loyalty. Overall it's better than average. It could be better but if you keep your expectations low, you won't be disappointed.
