I also appreciate that he installs reputable equipment that doesn't result in callbacks. He also replaced the rubber seal rings as his standard protocol. Cheapest part but a lot of other companies don't do this. When it comes time for us to replace all of our equipment, this is the company I would go to for advice, new equipment, and installation. When we were looking for someone who…read moreactually knew how to maintain a saltwater hot tub and an above-ground pool, it was surprisingly hard to find -- and they knew exactly what they were doing. One thing I really appreciate is their communication. They text about 30 minutes before arriving, and we usually get the same technician, which I love because he already knows our setup. When they finish, the pool water always looks crystal clear -- that satisfying "sparkling blue" moment when you walk outside. They're also very organized. After each visit they send a report with a photo of the pool and detailed notes on the chemicals and everything they checked, which I really appreciate. One thing to know: they won't remove items from the pool unless you specifically ask. My daughter once left some pool toys in there and I assumed they might grab them, but the technician explained they leave anything in the pool alone in case the homeowner placed it there intentionally. Totally understandable -- just something to be aware of. The owners are very responsive as well. We had an issue once and they actually came out themselves to help resolve it quickly. They're consistently on time, and the one time our tech was sick he texted to let me know he'd be out the next day. Helpful tip: if you want anything removed from the pool (toys, floats, etc.), just let them know ahead of time.

However your excuse of being unable to fix the issue is insufficient. On the initial service it was clearly stated which parts were replaced and the reasoning was communicated to the serviceman. If anything it should've helped the diagnosis as the heater had multiple problems that I replaced. Jandy did not troubleshoot with the technician during the visit. The service call went past 5 and the technician said they were closed. He said he would email them and get back to me which he didn't until I reached out to him. Transformer was melted and shorted the board which was replaced. Igniter and sensor was broken and was replaced. I don't think replacing these obvious issues should throw off your diagnostics. If anything if these things weren't replaced it would've caused a longer diagnostic process, multiple service calls and delay waiting for parts. It got to a point where I ran out of ideas and that's why I relied on your 15 years of expertise and was disappointed with the outcome, especially since the issue was something fixable

Do NOT hire Avila Tile - Worst customer service and unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced…read more We hired Victor Avila of Avila Tile in August to seal a leak on the rocks around round our waterfall feature, as well as clean the calcium buildup around the pool edge. The work came with a one-year warranty. Less than a year later, the seal has cracked and is now leaking water badly. When we reached out to Victor to request the warranty repair, he completely ghosted us on text messages. My husband finally got him on the phone, and Victor's response was that he would "get to us when he gets to us" with no timeline whatsoever. He then told my husband to stop calling and texting him because he "doesn't need to be bothered" by us. After a week, he is now using emojis to dislike, laugh at or like all our precious messages to him with zero context. Perhaps he hit happy hour a bit early today. To make matters worse, when his crew was here in August, they left trash behind on our grass for me to dispose of and the workers decided to take their lunch break on our brand new patio furniture without asking permission. They left a huge mess for me to clean up. I don't even allow my own family to eat on that set, and these workers treated it like a public picnic table. When we brought it to Victor's attention he laughed. He is now stating that is part of the reason why he isn't coming back out to satisfy his warranty work. Victor Avila has been extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. His warranty is clearly meaningless, and his attitude toward customers who paid him is disgraceful. We will never use this company again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere. There are plenty of reputable tile and hardscape companies that actually stand behind their work and treat customers with basic respect. I will most certainly be filing a complaint against Avila Tile.
