I grew up getting take out from here every so often and LOVE their wings! My favorite thing to order off their menu is their honey BBQ wings. I usually get a 10 piece with a side of their steak fries. It makes for a great easy & quick dinner without having to resort to fast food options. I highly recommend calling ahead of time to place your order and pick up is typically ready within the standard 10-15 minutes! Parking: not much for parking available but they have an area in front where you'll find a lot of cars like to park to hop out real quick to pick up food! read more

Wings are amazing! Best I've ever had! The Ranch Buffalo and regular medium buffalo were both winners. Boneless were very good but the bone in are the best. I have never had a better wing, ever. I was so happy to try this restaurant according to the pictures and reviews, they are know for their fried chicken and steak fries. That's exactly what I got, and that was a big mistake. The chicken was half breaded, lacked seasoning, burned, and cold. The fries were ok, they were steak fries with onion & garlic powder, and pepper. And the salad was a bag salad thrown in a small container with one spoiled tomato. Sad to say $30 wasted!!! read more

Got food from River Street last night for my first and LAST time. They take advantage of their customers by charging you more than you ordered and hoping you don't notice. Ordered $55 ish worth of food and I see the next day I've been charged $85!! Makes absolutely no sense. But I'm not going through the trouble of being stuck on the phone with my bank. Too bad cause their chicken is good on a salad, but disappointed at service. Tell me delivery would be 35-40 minutes and 1 hr 40 minutes later still nothing!!! Like I said a salad with chicken! I actually called them 3 times as well after the 1 hr mark to check on status and they said he was just leaving with food grant it he's about a five minute drive. I called the last time at the 1 hr 40 min mark and had them cancel my order. Sadly unfortunately, I am the type once service is horrible even though food is pretty good they lose me as a customer. Use to love this place, I used to order every day. One day my card wasn't working and I waited a month to try again, same thing. I called in and talked to some woman who appeared helpful over the phone. She asked if I wanted to place order and asked for my address. I understand people makes mistakes but I didn't want for pickup. They called me, and I thought well maybe the are running behind, which wasn't the case. The woman tried to tell me I place it for pickup which I never do. Why ask for my address then? Clearly I felt some type of way and ask for my money to be refunded. I felt it was a bit prejudice but who cares Also beware of the smoothies my mother ( who lives nearby me) and I both had vomit over it, but I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. I have been coming here since 1995 and if you love chicken wings then you need to try this place. I strongly recommend getting them plain and ask for a variety of sauces on the side. That way the wings stay crispy! I order anywhere from 25 to 100 wings at a time. The office lives them and so does my family. These are fresh wings not the frozen junk you get elsewhere. Depends on whose cooking the food....I can only assume that this place has more than one chef working, because the difference between the quality of food from one week to the next is stark. Sometimes their subs are amazing and chock full of meat, other days they may as well be serving cheesy bread as those are basically the only two ingredients included. The tenders are good, although they still haven't caught on to the concept on putting fries on one side and chicken on the other, so the fries get soggy very quickly. All in all, it's close and sometimes very good. I take my chances, but hate the disappointment when I order on the "wrong day." Also, one of the cashiers could benefit from some training in customer service. Attitude is a little off putting. read more

The Greek wrap came filled with almost a half a green pepper chopped up inside...I hate peppers and it was not on the menu. There was more dressing than I like, but with the peppers picked out, the rest of it wasn't too bad. We tried this place on a whim of passing by and man were we LATE. I can definitely see why the parking lot is ALWAYS crowded. The food and portion size is amazing. Another plus is that they do "steak fries" and by far these are the best to pair with their wings. Haven't had a burger yet but that's next on the list. Had to update, had their bacon burger and fries.. AMAZING.. the burger was crisp on the outside and so juicy when i bit in. Again, love the steak fries. Had a bite of hubby's cheesesteak and it was soooo good. Writing this review is seriously making me thing about to going and trying the rib dinner. read more

I have been ordering from this location from over a decade when it used to be under old management. Under the new management I continued because my family lives in the area and we eat out often. Unfortunately, the rude customer service has become more then I can tolerate. The last time I ordered the girl who answered the phone was beyond rude and when I pointed out to her she continued more of the same. I can not support a business in my community who treats families like the way she treated me, it is absolutely unacceptable. I told her I would not be calling to place an order again and I have not. I also like some of the items on their menu but there are many other business in the area who respect and value their customers. I love the foid here and usually order the Buffalo tenders but today I wanted something different. The girl at the counter offered the fish and chip dinner that was just made by mistake, so I gave it a shot. The dinner came with steak fries, fish, coleslaw and tartar sauce. The fish was excellent. Lightly battered Fried to a golden brown (some places the batter is thicker than the fish), very flavorful haddock, tender and flaky. Delicious & filling to say the least. I love River Street Grill - Milton/Mattapan line. Do not confuse with other River Street place in Hyde Park because believe me, there is a HUGE difference. They don't care when they mess up orders. Ordered a BBQ chicken cutlet wrap & got one with none. Nicely called back & told them about it they said that the delivery driver will bring a side of BBQ sauce instead of replacing it. By the time the driver would get here again my food would be cold. Just found this gem after moving into the area. I love that people complain about the service. This is Boston. They act like Bostonians - "get to the point and let me move on because we have lots of work to do here." No one should be taking offense to that, especially when the two young women were running the place all by themselves with such incredible efficiency. So first off, I ordered online, but I forgot to ask for sauce on the side. I called and she put me on "hold" by putting down the phone where I could hear her completing her transaction with the person at the counter. I totally respect that. The person who got their ass to the store and is standing there SHOULD get attention first. Then, I told her about the sauces and I was nervous the message wouldn't get to the kitchen, but I heard the cook say the types of sauces we ordered and say she would do that. When I got it home, they were indeed on the side. The wings ARE DELISH. Nicely fried, crispy and tasty. The sauce I tried (honey mustard) was good. Another yelper suggested sauce on the side and I think that was a great call. The person who asked for the wings ate every last bit - 15 pieces GONE. I got a fish fillet sub. OMG it was delicious!! LOTS of lightly breaded and fried, light, white fish. It tasted fresh and not reheated. The toppings were very fresh and tasty. I WILL be ordering this again and again. NOM! THE POOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER COME INTO CONTACT WITH. Just to say, I run a business, and customer service is what KEEPS the customers returning. During high volume there should be no rudeness or sarcasm, which is what they have included in my order. I was put on hold right after i ordered, and when they picked me back up, began screaming for me to give them my address (which I already did). I told the female I was on hold to pay, I already ordered, then she screams more and tells me OH YOU HAVE TO WAIT, YOU'VE ONLY BEEN ON HOLD FOR A MINUTE AND I HAVE PEOPLE ON HOLD FOR FIVE MINUTES. Before I can even speak, she hung up on me. I was still registering what happened when they called back, I asked for the manager and all I got was even more sarcasm and poor customer service, FROM THE MANAGER. I ended up hanging up because customer service means nothing to these people. I dont know why the owner has let this place turn into a place hosted by ingnorant customer service females. I will NEVER ORDER HERE AGAIN. NOTE TO OWNER: IF YOUR STAFF CAN'T HANDLE WHAT COMES WITH A BUSY BUSINESS, THEN I SUGGEST YOU FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN HANDLE IT OR YOU WILL CONTINUE TO LOSE CUSTOMERS OVER THEIR PHONE ETIQUETTE.
