DO NOT BUY A DISHWASHER FROM GRAND!…read more I had a dishwasher installed on June 23rd. I was told that everything went well with the installation. The dishwasher lost power by July 9th. I put in a request, a service person from Bodewell came out on July 20th. Replaced the motherboard & said I should be all good. The dishwasher lost power again by July 24th. Again, I put in a request. The same service technician from Bodewell came out on August 3rd. A new motherboard was installed, he said that he had replaced boards once on dishwashers but not twice. He said that everything was installed correctly. By August 6th I had water in the bottom of my cabinet, which I didn't attribute to the dishwasher. I clean that up & thought that was from my sink pipe....it was NOT. My dishwasher again loses power, I tell GE I need a new dishwasher. They tell me until the servicer says it can't be fixed then repairs continue. Today, September 2nd, a new repair person from Unique came to assess the situation. He finds that against plumbing code the water gap pipe was not set up properly. That explains the water issue. The wiring under the dishwasher was not connected tightly which was the reason for the outages. Because I didn't know what to look for & was told everything was fine with installation I signed off. I have no options & am stuck to fix this issue myself

We cannot say enough good things about Christian. He was polite, approachable, well-mannered, very informative and, most of all, honest. By the time he got done with his diagnosis, everyone agreed it would cost us less to buy a new unit than it would be to dump the money in to fix the old one. That is what we did. And we thank Christian for showing us options. I am not sure who trained this guy, but he is the real deal. Naturally, we hope we don't have to see you too often. But when we do, it is Christian we will be asking for.

Date of service: March 21, 2025…read more Really appreciated that I could schedule an appointment online with Mr Appliance through their website as I tend to be crazy busy during working hours and loathe leaving voicemails for companies and playing phone tag. Jalen with Mr Appliance also came when they said they would come and resolved the issue quickly and easily. The issue was a grinding noise that our less than three year old dryer was making. an obvious sign that something was not right. Jalen suspected a potential blower motor issue and got to work on resolving it. 25 minutes later the problem was fixed: Excess lint buildup that got through the lint trip and into the machine, causing the motor to have to work harder than it needed to. He showed me all of the lint he pulled out, but he piled it up on the runner below the dryer and on the top of our glass-topped washing machine, requiring me to clean off the washer and wash the runner. In addition, it was $243 for less than a half hour of his time. If the service call is $129, that would make the hourly rate $200 for Mr Appliance--I am clearly in the wrong line of work! Unfortunately I can't really give more than three stars given the cost and cleanup from the appointment.

I bought a speed queen washer from Richmond appliance. The whole transaction was done over the…read morephone. I didn't even have to go to the store. They delivered the washer I wanted and set it up and they were more reasonable than Colders. The Speed Queen washer is wonderful and is designed to last 25 years. The people that delivered and installed it did a great job. Like I said, their price was more reasonable than another major supplier of speed queen washers. I've had LG and GE Washers. They were junk. Our previous washer was a GE front loader. It was seven years old and it needed a new drum which was no longer available. Had it been available? It would've been a $1200 repair. The speed screen comes with a great warranty and as I said it is designed to last 25 years. So go to Ritzman appliance in Hales Corners and buy a speed queen. Or better yet, call them and order it over the phone and they will deliver it without you ever visiting the store.
