This salon is amazing! I came into the salon the day before last with my hair a complete mess, including bright orange and yellow patches, bleach damage, and no idea how to fix it. They immediately took the reins. After offering me a drink of my choice, I had been approached by a stylist and she sat me down and worked out a plan to minimize damage and cost while getting me the color that I wanted (as well as nearly healing my hair to its original state). If you are going to AS, I highly suggest Megan Haulbrook as your stylist. She knew exactly what to do to help us with our hair. She did an amazing job, and we are completely satisfied. AS uses Aveda products which are plant-based and not as bad for your hair. They offer sales of products to help take care of, and maintain, your cut/color. We (admittedly hard to please customers) are utterly satisfied and highly suggest this salon if you want it done right. read more

Sarah Lopez is an incredible hair stylist & you can tell her to do what she wants to your hair and always come out looking fantastic. I'm so happy with Lindsay, every single time. I have a short pixie with thick hair that has so many grays scattered throughout. I've spent a lot of money in a lot of places and never looked this good. I get compliments all the time on my hair, and people are most frequently asking what products I use. (Shhhh....the secret is my many cowlicks that Lindsay maneuvers around beautifully.). THE best shampoo ever. I had a warm oil treatment last time that changed my life. Everything smells nice. Staff is incredibly friendly and warm. Knowledgeable about products but not pushy on the sell. My most recent service was right in the middle of coronavirus pandemonium, and they still had a delicate sign on the door about using good judgment if you're sick. I witnessed the staff wiping down chairs and counters with disinfectant multiple times. Kerri was amazing! I have had the same two hair colorists for the past 7 years or so... And Kerri was perfect. She got my blonde highlights and lowlights right the first try with no bleeding foils, and didn't even need a toner. My haircut is so good that my boyfriend even complimented it. I can't say enough good things. The whole salon was really pretty and everyone was great. The prices are pretty average. I paid $150 with tip for a partial highlight/lowlight and a cut. I have thick hair that goes almost half way down my back. read more

They also offer refreshments when you get there! Wow! This salon was wonderful! I am so happy with the quality of service and the quality of the salon! I just moved to the area and I hate trying to find a new salon. I read the other reviews on this place and I figured this would be the best place to try first. Emily did a perfect cut and color on my long hair and had a great personality. While I was processing, Lauren did the best eyebrow job on me ever, wax and plucked. Afterward I had Lauren also do a facial. She was so knowledgeable about skin and products, and my face was beautifully glowing afterwards. Also they do free make up touch up after cuts. I couldn't have much applied back on cause of my facial but Emily was nice to touch up a little. The salon was beautiful, very clean and they had lots of services available. Nothing seemed over priced. They really are a salon and spa. I got treated like a princess! Love, love, loved this place! read more

I received a gift certificate for a massage at American Salon & Spa from my daughter. When I went to make an appointment for the hour-long massage I was told that they could not honor it because it was outdated. Then after a bad business decision they finally decided to give me half its value: one half hour. My daughter paid $70 for the massage for the hour, but the half hour price is $40, so they still wanted me to pay the difference of $10 (they can't do math either). I will never go there and I do not recommend them. In case I forget to mention, their certificate did not say that there was an expiration date. read more
