This little place has been around for a while now and it's a cool place to be. Their menu is eclectic in a good way with all the sardines you might want but also good sandwiches and comfort food. They have a good cocktail and beer list and their back porch can't be beat on a sunny fall (or spring or summer) day. It's a low-key place to hang out! I recommend!

I love Sardines so I decided to try this out just for the name. It's a Saturday at noon when they open, there is already a lot of people waiting to get in. The bar is in an old building in a pretty hipster neighborhood. They have a decent wine selection. The menu is of course revolved around Sardine. It's smart since there is not much prepping needed. All enthusiastic aside, I only ordered the Danish mushroom soup. It was piping hot and delicious. Definitely on the heavier side though. Over all pretty good neiboughood bar!

Favorite neighborhood bar with really really good food. The pickle lemonade is also my all time favorite cocktail - it always hits. Great casual patio too!

Chill spot located in Point Breeze. Parking wasn't too hard to find on a weekend afternoon. The sardine board was good and the tin can sardine added a nice touch. All the flavors came together nicely. Their sardine dip was a bit too fishy for me but I think it was also a texture thing. Service was good and served was attentive. Food came it pretty quick for our party of 8.

Love Sardine. If you live in 19146 and never been here, then get yourself out of that rock. Super crispy fries, awesome wings, and overall good vibes to chill with your friends. Opt to sit outside when the weather gets warmer; they have cute seatings. Service was good. Didn't have to choke on food since they always fill up my water on time.

What a hole jn the wall! I'm so glad to have stumbled upon this bar. The ambiance was bustling yet casual for a night of drinks and good food. Service was excellent! We ordered the Sardine platter, Sardine Sliders, the wedge salad, and onion rings. -Sardine platter was delicious especially the squid ink olive tapenade. The smoked trout was also delicious. Everything tasted so fresh. -the sardine sliders were light and refreshing with the pickles. Highly recommend! -the wedge salad was also delicious and very refreshing! Highly recommend if you're looking for a good place for sardines. My boyfriend loved it here!

The American Sardine Bar has been on my list for a while - I found them when I was doing a google search for pickled eggs in Philadelphia ---just I was hoping I could find a closer place to purchase this delicacy lol. And then I saw all the sardine themed items on the menu and I knew I needed to come here. I had the sardine sliders, the onions rings (this order was bc I saw them going by to another diner and they looked fab- and they were!) and the pickled eggs. I'm already planning when I will go back to get more of those sliders and onions rings. Ironically, I prob wouldn't get the pickled eggs here again. I love pickled eggs and these were not pickled enough and were too peppery compared to the farms where I buy them. Everyone who worked here was friendly and great. Overall seems like a great neighborhood spot w great food. I'll def be back to try more of the sardine items on that menu.

A positive experience every time; a neighborhood bar and destination bar in one. They also promote local cat rescue and host adoption events regularly

I loved American Sardine Bar because the food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was was fun. However, I just feel that the items are a bit pricey overall. I really enjoyed my smash burger and the fries.

Never had a bad meal here. Fries are a must, always a pickled egg! The patty melt is phenomenal and their sardine wedge is unforgettable!

Once I walked in, immediately the room of the event was decorated nicely. The ballroom was spacious, decent sized dance floor, and a bar. This particular event had a cash bar with complimentary soft drinks. I ordered a cosmopolitan drink that was made nicely. I peeped that the bar offered casamigos too (nope lol; I drove). The food was absolutely delicious. My favorite was the lobster bisque, salmon, and potatoes! Yummy! The staff were all nice and professional. Overall, this appears to be a nice venue to have a special occasion.

I do think the parking lot didnt have too many spaces. It is probably enough space for families to have birthday parties and other small events. It felt like a 50 space lot. As i went for a job fair, there were employees that needed to park which probably took a good chunk of spaces if they did not carpool and countless attendees coming and going. The fair was only 4 hours and in my talks with them, someone mentioned they were only accepting 700 resumes that day so I imagine they were expecting alot of different people to come whether they drove or not throughout the day. Granted it took me less than an hour to speak with everyone i could, I dont think the parking was sufficient for that type of event and i had to park 2 blocks away.

One thing that really stood out was the complimentary coat and bag check, such a nice touch and made everything feel easy and well-organized. We ordered a charcuterie board to snack on. Some parts were good, like the hummus, which was smooth and flavorful. A few of the veggies, though, seemed a little less fresh than expected, like the carrots and cucumbers, which were softer and a bit dry instead of crisp. The pita was also slightly on the dry side. It might have just been an off batch, but worth noting. Service overall was very attentive. At times, dishes and drinks were cleared a bit quickly--especially while I was in the middle of playing ping pong--but it really just reflects how prompt and on-top-of-things the staff are. On the flip side, they also help collect stray ping pong balls and keep buckets refilled, which makes the whole experience much smoother and more fun. Overall, it's a great spot for a night out with friends. You're really coming here for the ping pong and the energy, and on that front, it definitely delivers.

We came recently as paying customers on a double-date and had a great time again. If you're playing ping pong you can eat and play at the same time, but it's a little awkward because there's only so much room for your food. Overall, the food was pretty good. Nothing amazing. Well, except for the grilled Korean chicken sandwich; that was the highlight. Other dishes like the fries and the burger, per my husband-- were just simply passable. The truffle fries were much better than the ones that showed up with my sandwich, which by the way I had no idea came with the dish. So, I paid for fries twice. The ambiance is cool, very instagrammable, but it is super loud. I don't know how anyone could talk to each other. Cool if you're playing ping pong and just hanging, but don't think you're going to catch up with an old friend here. Not unless they have a more subdued experience earlier in the day. We came on a Saturday night and I had to be right up on my friend to hear her.

Devan was our 'concierge' who was able to keep us on track with the timeline and provide recommendations. At the 3-month mark we were handed off to Hannah who was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! If you have the honor of working with her, consider yourself so lucky. She was so responsive and on top of things, and her calming demeanor was perfect for the day of the wedding. Her attention to detail was also incredible. The Down Town Club is located inside a very large building in Old City and takes up at least one floor. Once you're out of the elevator you are greeted by a giant glass table and a centerpiece. For the wedding, this table was used to hold the place cards, which informed you of the the table you would be seating at. Behind that table is a large hall with a few tables, a bar and some counters, which can be used to plate food and serve horderves. I suppose it could also be used as a simple waiting area. There is also a piano located i that area, which can be used to play some live music. The horderves, which were served were top notch. Some of my favorites included the lamb chops, lobster, shrimp and ravioli. I also loved how they had a full sushi bar along with some other traditional Japanese options including ahi tuna. The dinner and dessert was great as well. The dressing on the salad was very tasty and the filet minion was perfectly done. The dessert options here were out of the world. Mini-cupcakes, cannolis, funnel cake and more were all provided and they were all very delicious. The view of Independence Hall is absolutely spectacular as well. The Ball Room wasn't giant, but it easily held over 200 people without as if the room was, too crowded. The ball room was also quickly transformed from hosting the wedding ceremony towards become a place to hold a fun party. While I didn't use it, valet parking was available, which was a nice touch. Altogether, the Down Town Club is a very nice space to hold a variety of events including weddings!
