When the technician arrived, he tried to charge me an additional $20 for a window tag. I was under the impression that a security system should already include securing both doors and windows. I decided to give them another chance and called the same representative to reschedule. We set a new installation date for September 9, 2025. I even took the day off work to be available, but no one ever showed up. I contacted CPI and spoke with a manager, who assured me I'd receive a call back from a supervisor and the sales rep--but that never happened. This experience was extremely frustrating. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can only imagine how they treat current ones. I ultimately had to call back just to request a refund for the taxes I had already paid on the equipment. DO NOT go with this company.

Not only are their prices higher and contracts longer than anyone else, there are predatory terms…read moreburied in your contract. Before signing anything, you should understand that you ABSOLUTELY WILL BE CHARGED 100% of the FULL term of the contract -- no matter what. It doesn't matter if you have a valid reason for disconnecting service, such as moving outside their service area (do you realize they only operate in 4 states? They don't mention this when they tell you that your contract is portable). No matter what the circumstance, they will continue to charge you every month PLUS the cost of equipment (this can be several thousand dollars) and there is nothing you can do to stop them because of the terms of the contract. They can change the amount you pay each month, they can pass fees and upcharges to you from third parties, and there's nothing you can do to terminate. It's all buried deep in the contract that nobody reads. These are not industry standard terms, and they are not made clear when you're signing the contract. Basically, unless you are absolutely 100% sure that you will definitely not have any change of circumstances for the next 5 years, go with another company.

I cannot cancel my account and they still charge me and won't refund any of my money. I have called the retention department numerous times with no resolution. Most unacceptable was our service experience with a recent internet issue over a weekend. We contacted their 24 hour after hours service line for requesting service assistance, and Neuwave states you will receive a call within an hour. We called 4 times every hour and half with no returned call. Finally, we spoke to the service manager Monday, sharing we work from home, he had no response as to why a call was not received from anyone (including himself). He then elected to email us rather than call us, which leaves one to question whether Neuwave wants to speak with any of their customers. Needless to say Neuwave has totally failed to earn our business, and we will be replacing them with a customer and service centric provider.

However, the control 4 system is always hard to use and inconsistent at best. To turn on the TV now requires 2 remotes and turning on the TV twice on the control4 remote to get the audio to play. The control4 remote LED has faded quickly, so it is hard to see what is selected. I would love to find a different system to get the TV and audio to work well.
