While Jiffy lube's test indicated the battery was still good, I appreciate that Rubin T still replaced it under the warranty. He didn't tell me drive with the current battery and come back if the problem occurred again. Thank you Rubin for allowing me to leave with the peace of mind that I had a reliable battery. They bring me oil colors so I can see the difference between my dirty colors and the new vibrant colors I should have. So of course I want my car to run great so im saying yes to every new filter and yes to every new fluid but Im not a mechanic so im trusting them like I've trusted my last oil change place. There is a good energy here and I hope they are doing everything they say they are doing because this is my only vehicle and Im a single mom with 2 teenagers. I was welcomed by a very polite young man named Francisco, who took a look at my car and gave me a very reasonable price. Daniel was the technician who performed the oil change. My car is a luxury European vehicle, and not every technician is familiar with working on this type of car, but Daniel handled the job with confidence, skill, and complete control. What impressed me even more was that they didn't just change the oil and send me on my way. They checked the tire pressure, fluids, and several other things to make sure the car was in good shape. They did everything they could to help without even mentioning. This is clearly a well managed shop. The employees are polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. At that time, I felt it was a great option. This time, however, my experience was different. I am not sure whether it is because prices have gone up, but the tire looked repairable to me. Still, they told me it could not be patched and that I needed to buy a used tire instead. Since I was already there and the work needed to be done, I ended up paying $60 for a used tire. What disappointed me most was that I originally thought I would be able to keep my old tire and take it home, because I believed I could patch it myself and keep it as a spare. In the end, that was not how it worked. Their used tire replacement process meant they kept my original tire and gave me another used tire in exchange. So it did not really feel like I was simply buying a used tire for $60. It felt more like I was trading in my old tire, which did not even have a hole that obvious to me, and still paying $60 on top of that. The service was done quickly, but the overall experience left me feeling less satisfied than before.
