Very dishonest unprofessional business. My car had a CEL P2647 and caused by coolant leak from two hidden hoses (I didn't know at that time) , but they quoted me $1000 for camshaft and variable timing solenoid after paying $150 for diagnose. I changed the hoses by myself and reset the computer. It's been two over two months and the car has no issues right now. read more

I needed to do a smog check on my car. They were really fast. I walked in, I gave them my car registration, they entered it in the computer. And right away they took my car and started to complete the smog check. I used the stopwatch and they literally took 15 minutes to complete. I paid for it and then I signed a copy and they gave me the keys and I was out the door. The total I paid was $61 and a few cents. The car i have is a Honda Civic 2013. They send the smog check to the DMV automatically. On the paper that they give you, will have the confirmation number for the DMV if you wanted to check up on it. I really love the speediness of it and efficiency of it! I totally recommend this place and I will come back again when I need the smog check. read more

I highly recommend Irvine auto repair for their absolute honesty , excellent service quality , automotive repair expertise and fair prices. I have known Ronnie for about 12 years. In every instance he has been super honest and always has done the best job for us. In the last 6 years are so he and his team have been taking care of my son's old beat up Corolla to keep it safe and on the road and while always charging us very fair prices. When my son upgraded to a old Acura a few weeks ago and the car had a major over heating problem so we took it to Ronnie and he and Mitch kept the shop open late so we could get the car to them for an emergency repair. The next day they repaired the car and Ronnie, Mitch and another shop guy all did test drives to make sure the car was totally fixed and would not over heat again. They solved the problem completely at a very fair price and the car runs great now! Most other shops would never stay open for you after hours and might charge you higher rates for emergency repairs. Not Irvine auto repair. They are 100 out of 100 in my honest experience. Also they are all super nice and caring people. Stephanie has been the most helpful, genuine, honest, and caring person at a mechanic's shop I've ever met. I was trying to move home from San Diego to Lake Tahoe (about an 8 hour drive) after college with all my belongings in my car when it broke down next to their shop. I brought it in and although they told me my car was toast, Stephanie made the experience as least stressful as possible. She helped me find a place to donate my car and worked with me while I found a rental car and am still working on donating my car. I was blown away by the Owners Ethics!!!!! I have a 2011 Tahoe Hybrid that has just about 170,000 miles on it. I purchased it Brand New in 12/2010. I take VERY VERY good care of my cars and tend to everything that is required without delay ever!! I had to get ALL my Oil Seals and Gaskets replaced because of oil leaks, given the wear and tear of the Seals and Gaskets.... :( This service also requires draining the Transmission Fluid, Oil, and Coolant, of course. He gave a VERY good price!! Most of all, I really felt great about the owner who has been there for 20 years, which says ALOT!!! I ALSO felt he and his mechanics ACTUALLY care about all vehicles that come in! And I was definitely CORRECT!! The owner initially thought(and I), of course, the Coolant would have to be replaced, given these repairs, but the mechanic was able to overt this because he saw it was very clean and probably was recently serviced; which it was 12,000 miles ago by the dealership! This saved me $138.24 because of the mechanics and owners' Acknowledgment, Hard Work, and Ethics!!! They did this Major Repair and Replaced a Window Motor, all in 3 days, which includes ordering all the parts! He was thinking it was going to be 4-5 days; he used the side of caution of time, given he is a responsible business owner. The Owner and the Mechanics have earned my trust!!! I just bought a 1995 Nissan Pickup. The previous owner had not registered the vehicle for the previous 5 years so I needed to get a SMOG on it. The issue was that there was also a check engine light on the vehicle. I called several SMOG check places and they all told me horror stories over the phone and how it would be so hard because of the age of the vehicle. I took it to Irvine Auto repair and they were able to find out what the problem was with the check engine light, get it repaired and SMOG the vehicle. IT PASSED!
