I recently brought my 2016 CLS 63S AMG back to life after it sat in the garage for nearly two years, and of course it had like a thousand problems. It needed all new spark plugs, a new fuel pump, had leaking coolant lines and a bunch of other work to clear out all the codes that I can't remember off the top of my head. I ended up spending around $7-8k total, which is a lot, but for a car that's older and almost at 100k miles I understood that these things need more maintenance once they hit that point, especially for the amount of time it was sitting inoperable for. Euro Car Doc was outstanding from start to finish. Evan Nguyen was the main guy helping me and he was extremely thorough explaining everything that was wrong. What I really appreciated was how they broke everything down with a severity factor so I knew which repairs I could potentially hold off on if money was tight. They also took photos of the broken/leaking parts for complete transparency, and Evan kept me in the loop the entire time -- constantly updating me on what they were working on and what to expect next. I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience with this shop. I've spent well over $10,000 at this shop across multiple cars and have trusted them with a lot of my vehicles over the years. Unfortunately, after this most recent experience, I will not be returning. I had my car serviced by them this past week, and one of the services performed was a transmission service. This was strictly preventative maintenance--the transmission was working perfectly fine beforehand with no issues. Two days after picking the car up, the transmission failed. I got a drivetrain malfunction warning and the car is now undriveable. On top of that, I had my car wrapped just two days before bringing it to the shop, and the wrap was damaged/ruined while my car was in their care. Now I have to pay to have the wrap redone. After spending well over $10,000 with this business across multiple vehicles, I expected a much higher level of care and professionalism. I understand that mechanical issues can happen, but when a vehicle has a perfectly functioning transmission, receives transmission service, and then the transmission fails just two days later, I expect the shop to take the situation seriously and help determine what happened. The combination of the transmission failure and the damage to my freshly installed wrap has left me extremely frustrated. It was a poor decision on my part to believe that this place could provide me with support and helpful service for my car. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I decided to check in because the "Check Engine" light had just turned on. I know my car is old (a 2004 Mercedes C230 with 43,000 miles), but I was hopeful that this Euro Car Doctor could help me. I was skeptical about the service, though. It seemed inconsistent, not just in the waiting area or facility, but especially with Jason. At first, he was okay, but after a discussion with the mechanic and reviewing the codes P0136 and P0138, I was certain the mechanic hadn't advised that the entire harness piece needed to be replaced. Some parts needed care or replacement, but the harness part couldn't be ordered anymore from Mercedes because it was discontinued. Jason wasn't there when I found out, and later he informed me that the harness needed to be replaced. He and his parts manager tried to source it, but it couldn't be found anywhere in the country. This made me realize that I needed to do some research myself. I was hopeful that the diagnosis from Tekmetric could still be fixed, but I was also restless because it was an unnecessary problem. What if I took this car to the Mercedes Benz dealer? Would they refuse me? I was hoping that the diagnosis from Tekmetric could still be fixed, but it wasn't. According to the Diag.: CONFIRMED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. PERFORMED DIAG. SHORT TEST. CHECKED FOR CODES. FOUND CODES P0138 AND P0136 FOR DOWN STREAM O2 SENSOR ELECTRICAL SHORT. PERFORMED INSPECTION OF BOTH O2 SENSORS. FOUND OIL IN ENGINE WIRING HARNESS CAUSING O2 SENSORS TO SHORT OUT. PERFORMED INSPECTION OF OTHER COMPONENTS TO CHECK FOR OIL. FOUND INTAK AND EXHAUST CAM ADJUSTMENT MAGNETS, OIL LEVEL SENSOR, TO ALL BE OIL SATURATED (SEE PHOTOS). ALSO FOUND OIL IN CONNECTORS FOR ENGINE CONTROL UNIT. Jason insisted that "how can you fix it when it was already damaged and saturated?" A week went by, and I don't even want to explain how I felt throughout the entire communication process. I was treated as if I knew nothing, and at times, I felt even worse because through text messages Jason treated me as if I was rushing to know the latest updates when I was only doing a follow-up text. I strongly felt that this place didn't want to provide a repair and if I was not ready to spend to recover my car I wouldn't have chosen this pace from a start. To date, I have my car fully restored, and I don't need to replace that harness part that your team was trying to source nationwide. I regret visiting this place. That's all I have to say. *I attached the communications I've had... knowing that there will be that side of story convinced others that I could be in the wrong. This business is a class act. Jason and Alessio have been absolutely incredible. My warranty expired at Land Rover and I needed to find a new auto repair shop, they were easy to talk to to make an appointment with and delivered consistent and thorough communication. In all my years I have never experienced such amazing customer service in the auto repair sector! I brought my car in because my AC was not able to switch between hot and cold. I was braced for an expensive service and was so pleasantly surprised to find out it was the battery! The service was priced fairly and done quickly with regular updates. They even told me they'd be detailing the car! Where I really want to highlight their commitment to excellent customer service is their service recovery. When I picked up my car I was fresh off a plane from the East coast and was focused solely on getting the car and getting home. I realized after I got home that my car was not washed at all, I texted them and they apologized and said no problem bring it back in and we'll wash it for you! A couple of months later I then got an alert on my dash stating 'Low Battery' and of course was immediately concerned. I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of transparency, time management, and deceptive customer service at Euro Car Doctor in Irvine. First, they pushed an expensive third-party payment plan under the guise of "transparency," but when I asked direct questions about the actual labor cost breakdown, they completely evaded giving a straight answer. I was entirely clear with them about my frustrations: I did not get the transparency I needed for the massive amount of money I am giving them. If a shop is going to gut you for a $4,500 service bill, the least they can do is be explicit with probable timeline outcomes unprompted. To make matters worse, they signed me up for their shop rewards program only to award me ZERO loyalty points on that entire bill. Second, their communication is awful. When I brought my vehicle in, they handed me a loaner car without explicitly explaining the timeline. I gave them a clear deadline for when I needed my vehicle back and they promised to call me with updates, but instead, they completely went dark. I had to call them myself, only to find out they were keeping my car all day Tuesday which was only mentioned in passing rather than made clear to me upfront. To add insult to injury, they then demanded that I top off the gas tank on the loaner car before returning it. Telling a customer to pay for fuel on a vehicle they were given under vague pretenses, which was used to justify remedying the shop's own unprompted timeline delays and poor communication is downright insulting. While my car was being diagnosed, they arranged an Uber to take me to work since loaners were temporarily unavailable. I didn't receive a call back on Friday so I followed up later that day. I was told I had to bring the car in. I was strapped for time and needed the price or an approx price so I can bring it in on a Monday. I think his name was Hugo? He was so rude and insisted that we had to bring the car to get a price. OWNER IS FALSELY REPORTING MY REVIEW AS FAKE! Please be warned of this shop. Brought my car in (135k miles, no check engine lights, running normally besides stuttering at freeway speeds) to diagnose issues with acceleration. After an inspection, my car was no longer running due to significant engine failure that occurred while in service at Euro Car Doctor. Instead of calling us right away, we found out that the car could not be driven out of the shop by a service member, who informed us of the issue as we were on our way to pick up the car AFTER paying for the diagnostic and not informed of the engine failure. I do not dismiss that my car had issues, however I brought in a working vehicle and was left to tow my undrivable car 3 weeks later out of this shop (they took extra time to try and figure out how to get it running again). I am deeply concerned with the lack of service--they still charged us $800 for the diagnostic (that resulted in engine failure), declined offering towing service out of the shop (which in my opinion would have been considered good customer service), and are now refuting my experience as "fake" to other potential customers. Mind you, the owner has not directly messaged me or contacted me to resolve things. I am not one leave one-star reviews unless it is to warn the public of major concerns of a company. Please, please take your car to a place with dignity and integrity. Mistakes and things happen, however the way that this was handled has mind boggles me. My car was given to CarMax for a total of $1,500 because it was evaluated as inoperable...there is no denying that my experience at Euro Car Doctor is the reason that I drive a different car today and sold an inoperable car for pennies on the dollar it was prior to bringing it to Euro Car Doctor. read more

I paid the diagnostic fee and dropped my car here to have it serviced for a headlight issue. They told me because the headlight wouldn't turn off it drained the battery so it was completely dead. They swore to me up down right left and every which way to Sunday that they try to jump the car and the car was not responding so they recommended a $650 battery replacement. I asked them if they can charge the battery for me for a little which they said no. I told them no, and I will come and jump it myself, they told me I can come and try which I did and I jumped the car myself. I don't understand how this premium auto shop couldn't get a car started, but little ol me could, they just didn't want to do anything. But hey, at least they were nice about it. PS: They charge a lot of money because they only work with genuine parts and because of the location of their shop, but if you drive, literally 10-15 minutes down the road you'll get the same/better service for less, because I was able to get the issues with my car sorted out. read more

Overall, bad experience with Euro Car Doctor, no accountability for their mistakes, with every service done here, more issues arise, issues cause by them, not because of regular wear and tear. They put wrong anti coolant and damage the car carpet while replacing the battery, thats when I realize they were bad, before that, they left my brakes all squeaky and replaced them with cheaper ones to get rid off the problem, god knows what else they messed up and I ended up paying for it, never coming back... No, "fixing" the problem you caused with cheaper materials is not taking responsibility, especially when you act offended just because a customer is asking for what's right.
