I would definitely not recommend this business to anyone. Always charges top price and sometimes more.

You better know what the price of a gun is when you walk into this shop. I didn't do any research and come to find out they had marked it up $100 over MSRP for a shotgun that I could've bought anywhere else at the manufacturers recommended price of $599 and when I called to speak to the manager he said he had no control over pricing. read more

Decent selection, but wouldn't spend the time to figure out if I can purchase a long gun with an out of state ID even though I live in the area on military orders. By the way, turns out you can as long as you provide orders. I mentioned that as a possible solution, but they weren't having any of it. Go up the road to Zack's in Round Lake where they know the laws that govern their business. Lack of customer service lost them a sale, though. read more

We put money down on a pistol. Some time has gone by and we ended up moving to a diff state. My wife called a while back and was told she would get store credit. We recently called and they told me there is nothing they can do. They will not refund my money, they will not give me store credit, they wouldn't let me pay the balance on the gun and ship to new location. This place is a bunch of crooks. They never once told us we had a time limit. We put down over a few hundred dollars and they wouldn't even give us a credit. Do not come here to purchase anything. Plus when we were there in person the young kid was cocky and rude. Place is horrible! They just want your money! P.S after shopping around we found they are extremely over priced! read more

My wife and I went there to learn about buying a pistol for each of us, the process etc. We were lied to and basically told he couldn't even put one in our hand until we started the process with the county we live in. BUYERS BEWARE. This store Goes by "The Outdoorsman" now, These people are dishonest and unaccountable. I Bought an expensive Browning firearm from this organization via GunBroker.com. They Advertised as Excellent and supported their erroneous claim with deceptive photos and blatantly omitted item flaws and characteristics, then Charged Premium Price. Item was received with a severely deteriorating duratouch finish "search browning duratouch-for verification of the issue I'm speaking of" (melting, sticking to hands and coming off/rubbing off on hands) and is essentially unusable in its current condition, imagine rubbing table syrup all over your forearm and then going hunting or shooting. Stock is not far behind but also in bad condition. It would be impossible for any prudent person to have handled the firearm prior to sale and/ or packaging and not immediately notice the significant damage to the finish. Photos conviniently didn't show the forearm well. The finish looks good in the pics but is badly damaged and immediately noticeable upon physical inspection/handling. That's where the deception comes in. No way anyone who touches it can miss it, let alone would buy it for top price. No way any honest person would advertise it as excellent, charge premium, fool you with deceptive photos and then say conviniently that "all gun sales are final". They Refuse to repair, or pay for repair. Won't take it back either. These sellers are dishonest and unaccountable. Will never do business with again. Would highly recommend NOT doing any internet sales with these shady characters. read more
