After struggling to have calls returned from multiple channels at Home Depot, we sought recommendations from our neighbors and the Nextdoor app. American Vision is highly regarded in the area, so we submitted an inquiry. We had initial measurements taken and a great experience dealing with Mike W. and choosing a product on the front end. For final measurements, Christian was incredibly detail oriented and made some great suggestions to enhance the color scheme of the various door hardware with our install. We feel very confident in the doors showing up with correct specs and being installed properly. We also had a great time chatting about local breweries . We are still a few months out from the installation due to the lead time, but our experience so far has been awesome. It's also a couple thousand dollars cheaper than similar or worse products we were offered from Home Depot. Will update once installation is complete! read more

I have heard their radio ads for years on KFI and found myself ready to move forward and get some estimates. Of the three companies I received estimates from American Vision was by far the best choice not just for price because they were not the cheapest, but for the professional behavior of the sales person. After some consideration I chose American Vision...then came the wait...3 months. Not their fault but still an annoyance. Then the install day arrived...it was going to be slit up into two days. Aaron introduced himself and walked through the entire house double checking the order and taking measurements to ensure that there were no problems. He was very through in explaining how everything will proceed. Then the work started. There were 23 windows to replace over two days. There were 7 installers working on my project. They were all very careful covering al the furniture and the floor to catch any debris. They all worked quite well with each other which must be nice. It allowed the work to start on time and I could see how exacting they were. They took care and time to make sure all windows were perfectly centered and flush. Then all the finishing touched to seal the gaps between the framing and the windows. By the end of the first day half the windows were finished and if it wasn't for the fact that I saw the windows in the rooms there was no sign of them being there. Everything was cleaned up and looking great. The second day started with out a hitch and the crew worked their you know what off in the 90° heat. By the end of the day everything was finished. Aaron and I did a walk though to double check there was no issues. I am very happy with the job they did and the windows look wonderful. I want to thank the entire hardworking crew of Aaron, Carlos V., Jeremy, Radley, Louis M., Ian & Alex A. Not a better group of people. I interviewed a few companies before I settled on American Vision Windows. I was impressed with their presentation, product and the professionalism and knowledge of the salesperson (Peter Stein). After signing the contract, we received a follow-up visit from Juan the next day to take more exact measurements. He was also very professional and careful of our belongings. On the day prior to installation, I was called to ensure that the installation was all set to go and we should expect a crew around 8:30 the next morning. Sure enough, almost exactly at 8:30, we had 2 crews arrive to take care of installing 14 windows/sliding doors. There were 8 installers in all. They took care in covering all of the flooring and got to work immediately. About an hour into the installation, I received a call from their office in Simi just to be sure that we were being well taken care of. That's something new! And assuring! Within 5 hours, all work was completed. I can't speak highly enough of the entire crew: Chuy, Andrew, Gio, Valentin, Eric, Alexis, Carlos and Jorge. Along the way, they answered questions that we had during the installation. They all seemed to work in harmony and no one was just standing around. They apparently knew their roles and worked quietly and neatly. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure that we understood how to use the new windows and doors before leaving. I can't think of anything that I would change about the whole process. From the initial contact to the completion of installation, everyone was a pleasure to work with. We are so excited to get new windows for our living room bay window and two other rooms. Please request Brad Hopper in sales, who was knowledgeable and honest in his recommendations. He was referred by a friend who was very happy with American Vision Windows in several of her houses. Due to the pandemic, materials amd labor costs have increased so there is not a big price difference between the top of the line and the lower lines. We were given a 4-5 month estimate for our windows to arrive, but were happy to get the call this week after 2.5 months that our windows arrived. We were able to schedule a Saturday appointment. The three-member installation crew (Carlos V., Eddie and Carlos L.) were professional, efficient and excellent at their jobs. They laid down clean tarps, were very careful with taking out the old windows and explained thoroughly each step as they were installing. I then had the pleasure of having "Christian" come to our home (same expert measurer from our 2012 window project). He was methodical, which is critical for the windows to fit perfectly. My daughter and I had a very nice lunch with him. Seeing the same folks says something about how Bill & Kathleen treat their employees and that is very important to me. The windows were going to be ready much sooner than the estimate and I had the pleasure of speaking with "Monica" who gave me options on days that worked best for me. So the big day comes...they must have sent out all their Top Guns. Three trucks and six AWESOME guys, namely "Willie", "Carlos", "Jose", "Eddie" "Jeremy" and "Jonathan", who were professional, super nice and incredibly clean. They covered things that I didn't think to move and they left my hardwood and cork floors unscathed, and my driveway and yard clear of any debris. This was a big, 8+ hour project and they handled it like bosses. These guys were also very responsible in practicing proper social distancing and wearing masks. So, a couple of things to know about American Vision Windows, one, they are an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) organization. The people that work for this company doso because they are bound to the mission of providing high quality products coupled with high quality service. The people make the company, from the salesperson (Cody Rojas) to the final measurement (performed by Arturo) to the installation team (Octavio, Valentin, Sergio and Raul). Every step of the process was communicated and executed flawlessly. We installed 10 windows of varying sizes and the look fantastic both inside and out. The fit was perfect and the installation team shows me all of the operation of the windows, we have sliders, double hung and single hung windows. We are going to be doing more renovations to our home and you can be rest assured Cody at American Vision Windows will be called. read more

We had 15 windows, 2 sliders and one garden window replaced by American Vision. We actually placed order in January and windows installed May 31st. The crew was professional, courteous, and did quality work. That morning 4 trucks and about 7-8 guys ( Martin, Gabriel, Jose V, Raul, Carlos Llamas, Jeremy and Justin ), showed up and immediately got to work. I figured it would be an all day job, but no, they were done by 2:30 ish! Stucco work had to be done around the garden window as well. The only caveat ( minor) is regarding communication early on- I had requested a wire shelf ( instead of glass) for the garden window and was told, no problem but this manufacturer only provides a glass shelf - not a deal breaker at all however. Yes, new windows can be pricey, but the quality of the windows as well as the workmanship definitely makes it all worthwhile. read more

If you want to wait FOREVER to get your windows and be continuously blown off by customer service, managers and salespeople who call themselves "project managers" then by all means use this company. We ordered our windows in early May and are now being told we won't get them until 9/29. That is 5 months! It's COVID - I get it. But the unresponsiveness is unbelievable. They say they pride themselves for their customer service - I've never been treated so poorly! I have to call every time to get updates and when I call I'm blown off every time or they never call me back. They say they will call me back with an update and then don't. When I call again they transfer me to voicemail. Not even the managers care. No apologies whatsoever!! Bill and Kathleen, where are you?? Do you train your people at all? Do you care about your customers at all? Do you care about your reputation at all? Your people need some training to know how to properly treat customers and follow up! Hubby has been wanting to replace our windows for years and we finally did it. The window we had were old and foggy and really hard to open and close... especially the 6' one.
