They are fine. At least they're honest - they did exactly what they said they'd do, at the price they said they'd do it at, in the time window they gave me. Which probably puts them ahead of many companies. But they made mistakes. I had water coming into the house from two roof leaks. David pointed his IR camera at the ceilings and pointed out where the wet spots were. He quoted me $4k to cut three ceiling holes, dehumidify and check for mold. Once the ceilings were open, he quoted me another $2k to put everything back. I called around and that was a fair price so I accepted. Day 1, one of the two dehumidifiers breaks. So they come and replace it. Day 2, one of the containment walls collapses, spreading dirty attic air throughout the house. I re-taped it to the floor and ceiling myself, but since it happened overnight there was a lot of dust everywhere. I had to go on steroids because I'm asthmatic and I couldn't breathe well for a week. The problem was that it was a hallway corner and they didn't think about how the small space would increase the negative pressure (from the industrial air mover) on the plastic curtain. Hopefully they know better now. To his credit, David was responsive when I told him about the collapse, and came out that day to look at it. I do want to give a shoutout to Joshua, who repaired and painted the drywall after the place was dry. He did such a fabulous job, you can't tell anything happened. Could things have gone better? Yes. But in the end it all worked out okay. read more

Their company took care of everything: dry-out, pack out, demo, replacement of water damaged items, etc. & also handled most of the issues with the insurance company. American Water Restoration is the best! I had one of their inspectors out for an estimate for mold. Chewy inspected the mold on the ceiling of my front porch overhang. He asked if he could also check my attic. He took photos of the attic ceiling and walls, and also sections of my old roof. He told me that mold remediation was not needed. A new roof would take care of the problem. I was blown away by his honesty and expertise. He is a true professional. A previous estimate from another company wanted over $1,000 just to check the attic and take samples. Chewy did the inspection for free. I highly recommend this company. Overall, I had a good experience working with AWR. They did the remediation, demolition, pack in/out, and reconstruction on my condo after a flooding from the unit above me required a full gut reno on my place over the course of 5-6 months. They showed up within hours of the accident, took extensive pictures, immediately remediated, and worked well with my insurance adjuster. Admittedly, they were a bit quick to try to get me to sign various contracts with them for all the different scopes of work, but when I asked them to give me some more time to think about it, they were respectful of my space and I ultimately proceeded with them based on their good reviews on google and yelp. Generally, Ernie, Chuy, and occasionally Jonathan, who interchangeably managed my project, were very responsive and reasonable. There were several periods of time where I had a hard time getting a hold of them, only to find out they were on vacation/out of town which is understandable. Aside from that, they were prompt and professional. The rest of the team including Betania, Fermin, and Jessy who handled my pack in/out were also easy to work with, prompt and professional.
