As SOON as I contacted FloodCide, their team and experts were nothing but professional. Their customer  service was second to none. The representative I spoke with was friendly, I believe her name was Gina. Very knowledgeable about many different questions I initially had. She was also very patient with us considering my family and I were in a highly nerve wracking and troubling situation with all the water damage in our condo. I was then escalated to Andy when we decided to move forward for all the restoration our home needed. I just can't say enough how grateful I am to have come across such considerate and compassionate professionals in this kind of industry. I walked in to a disaster at my house with more than 50% of the home completely flooded. Turns out the sprinkler in my attack cracked damaged everything! My wife and I immediately shut off the water and started soaking everything up with towels. Then we realized that the damage has already been done and wanted an expert opinion, so we called Floodcide Restoration. Floodcide showed up and installed a plastic containment barrier with a zipper and set up more than 30 pieces of drying equipment. The air got very warm and dry, to say the least. They said they're trying to dry as much as possible without removing any walls, but my laminate wood floors needed to be removed. We let the equipment do its job for a few days and it dried more than 90% of the area! They still had to remove some walls, but it was very minimal. Today, they came back to check for moisture, and everything was dry! I am so relieved, beyond words. They removed all the equipment and I asked them to leave up the plastic to keep the dust isolated. Andy and his crew were nothing short of super hero's! They were professional, knew what they were doing and very polite. FloodCide was the only company (out of 20-25) that responded immediately to my calls. Mold had just been discovered at our condo in Culver City, and we needed intervention asap. Subsequently they didn't waste time to set up equipment and start the remediation. At every stage of the process my point of contact (as well as the office) always answered my calls - even out of regular hours, and took his time to patiently explain what has been - and about to be - done. Overall, everything went as smoothly as it can get, with no delays (so typical with other companies) due to the crew being sent somewhere else. The results were excellent, and we passed the clearance inspection at their very first visit. In retrospect, I can't say that something could have been done better. I recently engaged Flood-Cide for mold remediation at my rental property. They were generally responsive and got the work done on time. Additionally, the mold clearance test passed on the first round. Their office and field consultant for the most part communicated well. Having said that, I feel that I was re-traded. The only reason I went with this vendor vs any other mold remediation vendor was that they explicitly told me they can accommodate all reconstruction, following the remediation -- in effect, it was supposed to be a one-stop shop solution. I asked them multiple times during the bidding process and I was told that the drywall, ceiling and any other repair estimate would come a couple days into the remediation project. Sure enough, two days into this project, I asked for a bid and they told me their construction guys "are backed up for months" and they cannot provide this service. This should've been disclosed upfront. As a result of this disingenuous process, I am now left scrambling for a contractor to fix my walls and ceiling weeks after the remediation process has completed. This is not a good outcome and is not a good user/customer experience. Very disappointing. read more

My condo was badly infested with mold from an ongoing leak that went undetected for many years. As a HOA board member for my building I wanted to make sure the work was done right. I would highly recommend their services. Andy and his team were punctual and thorough in the mold remediation process and readily available to talk on the phone or provide a prompt response time to messages regarding questions about the mold remediation process. Hours were also flexible around my work schedule. As far as price goes, the cost was reasonable to what you would expect to pay. To give an idea of the work quality and respect for the property, thick paper was laid down on the floor to protect the flooring in my home and the contaminated areas were sealed off in a zippered plastic in a way that there was NO SMELL of mold whatsoever. Besides the presence of the plastic you would not guess any work was being done! The air purifiers and dehumidifiers that were used were of excellent quality. The machines were well maintained and functional at all times. At the end of the day, the work areas and house in general was left clean and swept. Materials were also properly disposed of.
