The owner of shop told me about how great his alignment machine was, but I overlooked the fact that though the machine is important, so is the knowledge and expertise of the person conducting the alignment. So after the shop screwed-up the alignment on my car, I took it to RRT. It was my first experience with the shop and given their visible focus and history with BMW vehicles, coupled with a visible focus and experience in road racing, I thought this would be a good decision. Thankfully, I was absolutely correct. I worked with Michael and had an appointment for 8am. By a little after 9am, the car was done and the work was exceptional. Additionally, the cost of the alignment was both very competitve and a great value, given the quality of their work and what I was quoted by other shops in the area. In short, if you have a BMW, I would recommend this shop without hesitation for alignment work. Also, given the array of impressive customer cars that were in the parking lot when I visited the shop, I can only assume that this is a great place to take your BMW. Period.

I read a bunch on the interwebs about how this was a bad idea, it was gonna screw up my low voltage battery system, the battery management system was gonna freak out. All sorts of horrific things were likely to happen. But Tim's had enough recent experience with EVs to know with the 12V batteries (not the Lithium Ion 16V or higher in some news EVs) - it was likely to work just fine. He whipped up a quote based on experience, and gave me the peace of mind to say, "Hey if it doesn't work - we'll customize according to some of the specs you're seeing online". Great! So I dropped it off a few months ago, the install went swimmingly and as planned, and I've had it thumping the hell outta my car ever since with not a single complain from the car's battery management system.
