Brought in a flat tire to be fixed. The sales man named Kevin gave me the best total service I have ever received at any business that I have been to. My flat was fixed and installed back on to my car and the tires were rotated...and all for FREE! One other thing,.. You can watch the guys working in the shop area and all were working so fast as a team and precise in everything they did...amazing to watch them.... I went there a few months ago because my tire sensor light was on. The employee politely reset it for me at no charge. He told me to drive it for a little while to see if it will reset on my dash. He told me if it doesn't then it would have to be replaced and that charge would be around $160. The light never went off so I had my husband take it in and low and behold the charge was $60 to replace the sensor. Very strange how much higher my quote was for a female. Hi everyone, I'm a PhD student at the University here in town. America's tire store seemed like a good option for me at the time with all the great 5 star reviews that I saw on Yelp. So I tried it out, however my experience could have been a lot better. A bit of background: I had new tires and spacers installed on my Subaru Legacy on a Saturday. I brought in my own tires from a Pepboys sale (much cheaper to buy from an alternative source rather than buying directly from America's tire store, IMO) I came and had an appointment set at 8:30am and it took about 3 hours for them to do the job. It could have been faster in my opinion, I think they were just really disorganized. During the installation process, I sat in the waiting room. It is indeed spacious and very clean as other reviewers has mentioned. There's also free coffee and water which is probably the only reason why I gave them 2 stars. While I was waiting in the waiting room area, I was approached by the manager. For some reason he was selectively rude to me (For example, no simple "Please" or "Thank You's" "Thanks for your Patience" etc). I didn't overhear him talking to the Caucasian customers around me like that. This is one of the first times I've been a victim of racial profiling in Merced (probably because I have brown skin, look hispanic and I wore a baseball cap and a semi-baggy hoody sweater). It doesn't bother me too much, but it's really unsettling especially in our new political climate. He updated me with the installation job telling me in a rude and condescending tone that the tires they had installed won't have enough clearance for my car and it's illegal to have tires that large installed. Another employee (another older Caucasian male), told me "Good luck driving home, you're going to rip your fenders right off!"). Thanks America's Tire Store manager and employees for being concerned about my safety. Again, maybe it's because I look Hispanic that I was treated this way. On that same token, yes, indeed it was my fault for asking them to install tires of incorrect size (I'm by no means an automobile expert, and furthermore I apologize for not during through research before hand). BUT, why didn't they tell me this before doing the installation? A warning would have been nice because I wouldn't have gone through with the installation knowing that the car would be un-drivable. In the end, I had to call a tow truck to get my car and I safely back home. Lastly, I had a chip and scratches on my wheels during the installation process. My wheels are teal so it's really easy to spot damages. I pointed it out to one of the employees but they brushed it off saying that I had "No Proof" that they did the damages. WOW, is all I can say. I'm sure they're a great business and it may wholly depend on who actually provides you with service. Please be very careful if you do decide to give them your business. read more

Yes! Tires are cheap but that comes with a price. Took my car for 4 new tires. When I picked up my car, there was no discussion about NOT KNOWING how to reset my car 2017 Beetle once you engage it in a service for tires. Instead I was given my car with a thank you. The same day my tire service light came on. I called they said bring it back. The next day ALL of my gages were going haywire WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I took my car to dealership and was told ALL they had to do was use GOOGLE or READ the manual IN THE CAR about the car. They just wanted my money. Oh yeah, I was told by MIKE who serviced me by taking my money that I MAY NEED A WHEEL ALIGNMENT after I was long gone. Workers were nice and knowledgeable throughout the entire process, from making the first call to driving off their lot with my brand new tires. Took my car in to get new tires. Long story short they must have got a rookie to work on my tires. Messed up the threading while trying to screw on a lug nut. They offered to have the damage temperarely repaired because that's what it would be .. a temporary fix for what they damaged. I've had better experiences before but was very disappointed. Don't think I'll take my vehicle again. Make sure you ask for an experienced person to work on your car if you ever go. read more

Even though I was in close proximity, today was the first time I had the opportunity to have my car worked on for needs of a tire change. Last week I ordered 4 tires to be changed, and with a small deposit, had them shipped and ready for an appointment this morning. Upon arrival, within 10 minutes, my specs were taken care of and paid for, and was given a quote of 45 minutes to an hour to get the job done. So after I left to kill the time needed to service my car, I got a call back after 30 minutes to be informed that my car was ready for pick up. At first I was alittle disappointed there wasn't commuter service, but with expedited service like that, things can definitely be overlooked. I got all 4 tires replaced on my Jeep Grand Cherokee yesterday and was provided excellent customer service from all the guys down there! When I called Bob the previous day to inquire about having my tires done he was so nice and helpful and he told me that they only had 3 of the tires I wanted but he called a nearby store and said he would have one of the guys pick one up Saturday morning and bring it to my local store for me. WOW! How nice is that! I had my choice of appointment times and was able to schedule a time that was convenient for me. Not to mention the price was very reasonable! When I went into the shop I was greeted right away by Adam even though he was helping other customers at the time. Great to be noticed right away. I left my car there and was called in about an hour to come pick it up. When I got there to pick it up Bob even recognized my name from just our short phone conversation the day before. My car looks great with brand new tires! And they even checked my moms tire pressure on her car for free when she dropped me off! I was not at all excited about the fact that I needed to get new tires, but I am so grateful for the service I received that it made it as painless as possible and an overall great experience with all the guys down there...I didn't get all of their names.
