This location is a Joke. I had an employee accidentally loose my BMW emblem off of my key fob case. When I spoke to the guy at the front desk who identified himself as Omar the store MANAGER, he assured me that they would replace the item. To buy a replacement and give them a copy of my receipt. After I was able to locate a replacement and recontacted Omar, he played dumb and acted as if he forgot. After refreshing his memory, He had me email a copy of my receipt and told me he would send me a check. A month goes by, so I contacted Corporate. I was told Omar was not the manager and was given the name of the manager. I contacted the actual manager He had me resend my email to him a copy of my receipt and assured me a check would be cut. Here we are, another month out. BS!!! I contacted corporate again, leaving a voice mail for them to look into the mismanagement of this issue. Aware that my work truck is high profile, I offered my assistance going in and backing out, but it was disregarded and I trusted in their guidance. Despite my warning the truck gets higher in the back, the employee assured me I was all clear. Overconfident after airing up the tires, the employee backed me into physical contact with the ceiling. After I immediately took photos of the damage, the employee said I should move before I get a ticket. Then I asked, "So you just want me to stand out here is that right?" Despite the fact I was his first customer, he responded yeah I'm with another customer right now. When he saw me start to walk towards the front office, he also finally approached his manager. He quickly whispered something to his manager too low for me to hear. Then I asked if he could stay as a witness. He answered why do you want to hear me say it again? I said I would like to complete the whole story. I then emphasized how I offered my assistance and it was disregarded. I trusted in their guidance. Short of doing their job for them I'm not sure what more I could do to prevent this negligence. Nobody apologized or even felt bad. I certainly do not understand the apathy or disrespect. This is the third time I've been here this year. The staff is always extremely helpful and polite. Twice I had a screw in my tire, then first time it was in the wall so unfortunately they couldn't just patch it. They helped me find an affordable tire that was well worth my money. The second time I got a screw in the new tire five months later. They replaced the tire completely for $11 because of the amazing warranties. The third time I was here was for a worn out tire which they replaced quickly. Hands down the best place to go to for your tire needs. I've never spent more than 45 minutes here even when the place was packed. Staff is helpful and informative. read more

I blew a tire that was approximately a year old purchased from this shop, they replaced the tire under warranty for free despite California taxes of $13 and it only took them 20 minutes to get the tire changed and me out of there!! I'm not sure why they even offer an appointment. I arrived on time for my appointment and there were two others ahead of me, walk ins. The man at the desk asked me to sit down and I politely let him know I had a 730am appointment and he barked at me to please sit myself as he had others to help. He then decided to answer multiple phone calls before helping me. My husband recommended this place because they took amazing care of him. I even mentioned this on the phone when calling for my appointment and when I was told to sit down. I was helped at 745am. They Take advantage of women. I placed the order for the tires and I paid for the deposit and they asked me if I wanted the protection. I said no. My wife takes the car in for the service and they sell her the protection after I had said no and to cancel the service, you must go into the store to do in person. Very friendly staff! I usually do business with firestone and I went in for a patch one hour before closing only to be told I would have to leave my car till 5 pm the next day! A full 24 hours for a patch! I drive across the street to America's tire co, whom I might add was closing at the same time, and they were able to assist me on the spot. No waiting, and it was free! I was in a rush so I didn't book an appointment and decided to give this place a shot and just do a walk in. They were quick to assist and provide a decent quote of recommended tires. I wasn't fixated so much on the price of the tires but what I really liked was the speed of which the tires were replaced, the customer service, nice air conditioned lobby with free bottled water, but most importantly the warranty in which the tires are covered on. Yes, you can go on-line and find any tire a lot a cheaper but you then have to take into consideration all the work that goes into getting them delivered, transporting them to a tire shop then getting them balanced and installed etc. Just pay the extra money and go to Americas Tire and get it done and over with, you will not be disappointed. read more

America's Tire Company - the place to see and be seen! Got a flat tire on way to work and had to get a tire at lunch time. After driving around to Costco and another tire place, ended up at ATC and couldn't be more pleased. The customer service is HANDS DOWN the best ... Matt was fabulous and very friendly. He went out of his way to make the process easy and smooth. Given two choices, I asked him what he would do if it was his car and he provided me his input. I decided to order up the correct tire and wait for it to arrive three days later. In the meantime, ATC loaned me a similar tire so I would not have to drive on the "donut" tire. The best part? I had just bought my tires 8 weeks ago at a different tire store and there was no guarantee/warranty. Matt offered me a warranty on my other three tires (that were purchased somewhere else). Amazing. Of course I bought the warranty for the other three tires - totally affordable - and now I have peace of mind if something happens to any of my new tires. Jose the service man who worked on my car was terrific. He had come into the showroom to get my keys even before I had finished checking in. These folks are on it like white on rice! I've been a customer of ATC since I moved to Monterey in 2011 & have always had a pleasant experience. This latest visit put the icing on the cake though. My rear tires were completely shot, unsafe, and needed replacement. Jose was the gentleman that took my call & he advised that I come in for an assessment. I get there and Jose assisted me right away. My car is an AWD & replacing just two tires would eventually do more damage. I was on a tight budget (it's tax season) and Jose was able to work some magic with his co-worker (Matt?) and gave me a very reasonable price for brand new set of (4) tires. I'm a very satisfied and happy customer. Although this was an unexpected expense, the guys at ATC were able to alleviate most of the stress for me. Thank you so much Jose! read more

Today was the second time I have been here. The first time I was in a bit of a crunch and had to be in Fresno for a funeral by a certain time and my tire was going flat. About 30 minutes and I was on my way again. Today, I decided I needed 4 tires for my car since I was giving it too my niece. I was buying a set of tires online but I thought of using this shop to install into my car. I was blown away when they did a price match. It was still expensive since I have to pay for the tax in local state purchase. I am fine with that. I work 5 days a week and no way to have the wheels and tires I bought to have it re-balance since it was a bad balancing. This shop was trying to fool me for a "premium balancing"! WTF?? I have been driving and buying wheels everywhere and I have not heard of this BS. I agreed to have it checked in "regular balancing" if its off, then re-balance it for no extra cost. The crew checked it, and it was confirmed that it was off. After that re-balancing, it was still wiggling and vibrating but reduced a lot. I was dumb to have a set of tires installed a week after for my other car. I was charged for a TPMS rebuild kit?? WTF? The valve was not removed and transfered. It was the same rim. NOTE to customers. Do not pay for TPMS rebuild kit if you're changing tires only. Do not pay $40 for each, since a set is only $40. I was dumb. I will never comeback at this shop ever. I went to TWW. Honest, straight forward, fast and convenient. read more

Pros: -They had the tires I wanted in stock -Comfy waiting room chairs -Clean -Good customer service -Able to order tires and schedule appointments online -Quick (45 minute) turn around time -They didn't damage or scratch my wheels -I personally saw them torque down the lugs with a torque wrench. Most tire shops will just zip them on with an air gun which can damage your lugs/studs/hubs. Cons: -They left goop all over my tires and rims. It washes off easily with water but is a bit annoying. -They didn't remove the old foam tape from my old wheel weights, this was the most annoying and the biggest reason they didn't get 5 stars. -My car came with black valve caps, but they installed some odd gray ones. They were also of a cheaper and thinner plastic than my original factory valve caps. Now you might be wondering why with 3 con's I gave them 4 stars. Well, most tire shops are frankly horrible. It's really really really hard to find a good one without paying enormous amounts of money at a specialty tuner or high end shop. Even though I gave them a few dings, they are still pretty decent FOR A TIRE SHOP. read more

Their prices are good and you can order online and have tires installed at the store. Their concept of customer service though is severely lacking. I made an appointment for tires and when I arrived there was only myself and one employee who was behind the sales counter. He told me to wait and he would be right back. 10 minutes later he was still nowhere to be seen so I left. I worked in retail for years and a commonplace concept is that if a customer is in the store they come first. Before a phone call and before doing paperwork in the backroom. Call it courtesy or respect or plain good business but the successful companies know this and train their people properly. read more

WOW !! America's Tire Store blew me away with their customer service. I am not one to write in Yelp reviews or any other review for that fact. It is a rare occasion if I do. I have bought two sets of tires from them in the past and their price along with customer service was by far the best. Now here is the AMAZING story. I had a screw in my tire that I picked up that morning. I drive a lot due to my profession. I had to fill up my tire with air two times that day. I knew then that I must repair my tire immediately. The first place I thought of was America's Tire Co. The amazing thing about this is that I the tires were not purchased from them. Geoff the Assistant Manager were very professional. I pulled into the store 15 minutes before closing. I was desperate to have my tire fixed. Geoff got right on it and it was done in 30 minutes.I even told Geoff that I was willing to pay for the repair since these tires were not purchased from them. He said not to worry about it. It is part of their customer service policy. INCREDIBLE !!!! I have shopped Costco, On line, and other retailers. I must admit that I shop for the best price and DEMAND exceptional service. Geoff and his crew exceeded all my expectations !! I will tell my friends and family about this store. They have my as a customer for LIFE !!!! read more

I'd rate it a zero but I can't. Terrible service, great priced tires, but almost not worth the hassle. I live in Monterey and have to travel here. I set up appointments and it still takes a couple hours to get 2-4 tires put on a car. I've given them almost $2000 in work and they still treat me like shit, putting walk in's in front of my car. I've been nothing but nice to these assholes, and as I stand in the lobby as I type this I sit here wondering "why?". Because they are cheap, unfortunately that translates to cheap all around. Cheap customer service, cheap tires, cheap attitudes. Maybe I need to travel to another location and the experience will be different. This last time they made me come back 3 different times for a set of tires! As much gas as it cost me I should've ordered them from somewhere else! First they didn't have the size. That's not their fault, so I ordered the tires. 4 tires. I call them 4 days later to ask "wtf" and they say "yeah we just got the fronts in sorry, we have to order the backs again. 4 days later they get the backs, they tell me to come in, set up an appointment, I show up and the a hole tells me one of the tires was damaged in transit and they have to put on loaner tires and I have to come back...now, 3 days later I'm sitting in the lobby at 10:20, after showing up for my 9:15 (that I was 15 mins late for I'll admit) and they haven't even moved the car from the parking spot outside. This is my first yelp review EVER...so you know this place HAS to be bad. I went out of my way to make a yelp to flame this place IN THEIR LOBBY. Buyer beware! **UPDATE 12/18/17 I deleted my previous review because I felt they had been apologetic enough in person to make me feel bad. TODAY was the straw that broke the camels back. I ordered tires last Monday. They told me they would be in later that week. I called today, to find out the assholes didn't even order the tires, and told me they would be in later today....that was at 9am...it's 3:30 and they told me they only ordered one, the guy I talked to earlier didn't order two. I didn't ever think I'd be yelping about a tire store. I would definitely recommend going here for tires. They have great customer service, the place is extremely clean, and the tire change only took about an hour. I got price quotes from four places and this beat all of them. Overall this was my first experience with this company and they were awesome. I went to the website and signed up for a Saturday at 3PM appointment, got a complete price quote and email confirmation. But then, I decided I wanted to come in earlier. I called in at about 5:30 PM on Friday and they said as long as I got in the door before 6PM they would change my tires. I got there about 5:55 PM and their was a line, they called in another person to help out. The assistant manager who was at the desk was friendly and knowledgable. we paid a fair price for our konig incident rims, and the technician torqued them swiftly and correctly. picked up a couple of new locks while i waited. my excellent wife likes the wheels. a very good sign. customer service folk are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. the consequence of this is that waiting for help may take slightly longer. that being written - i brought the old car to them without an appointment, during my lunch break, for torque and air adjustment. the staff performed flawlessly, again. i was able to drive safely home, eat lunch, and return to work on time. read more

This is my second time coming here in about 5 years for a tire patch/repair and the service is excellent. The staff are all prompt, friendly and courteous. Plus tire repairs are FREE. I came in with a slow leak in my tire but there was an hour wait and I needed to get to work. So the guy offered me an appointment for the very next day and aired up all my tires for me so I could make it through the night. I came back for my appointment and was promptly checked in and 5 minutes later my car is up on the jack and the tire is being tended to. The mech even says I can do a visual inspection of your brakes while I'm at it no charge. First time there and I'm sure it won't be the last. Usually customer service is non-existent in Salinas, but the guys here are the exception. The online appoinment tool was great and when I called two hours before my appoinment to ask if I could come in earlier, they scooted me up an hour. The sales-rep (who I noticed later actually worked on my car as well) was polite and helpful and didn't try to sell me their most expensive tire, but talked about what we needed and recommended a cheaper tire with a higher mileage rating than the name-brand one I had intended to buy. Cannot rave enough about the service I get at America's Tire locations. I had to pull into this location after suffering a flat tire and putting on a spare halfway into my drive from the Central Coast to the Bay. I came in on a Saturday afternoon at 3, and they guaranteed they would help me out by closing at 5, which was a relief. Ultimately they had to replace the whole tire, but since they didn't have the right tire, offered me several options with helpful suggestions. I had them replace it with an alternative tire, but it ended up costing me only $20 because I had previously purchased their Fair Replacement Certificate program. Staff (especially my service tech Marco) were professional, courteous, helpful and I never felt pressure to buy or do anything that I didn't feel was in my best interest. I was already impressed at the great level of service I was getting at my local America's Tire. To see it duplicated at another store 100 miles away is amazing. read more
