Best customer service ever! Colin helped me out. All I needed was a puncture fixed, which believe it or not is free!!!! And I didn't get the tires there, it's a new car. They took off the spare, and checked its air before putting it back on the car, repaired the puncture and made sure the computer didn't show low air anymore. It seems all this company does is change tires. And there's fine print that nothing that goes wrong is really their fault. No tire related repairs like alignments or wheel balancing, even. Today I had excellent customer service. I had a repair that did not hold and they stood by their warranty. It was weird because I had just had another tire in the same location repaired about 40 days ago. I did not realize that it was a different tire, as they had rotated the tires. Even gave some great advice about not having different brands of tires on an AWD car.. Costco didn't bother to tell me that! This places rocks the manager to the staff very professional and the company stands by its products and service. I purchased rims and tires and part of the service is rotation so I took my tacoma for the rotation there was a problem with removing the bolts they could become stripped. The manager asked if anyone else has removed and rotated the tires. I informed him "No". They did some research and Toyota & Lexus have an usual way of putting on the studs on there vehicle. This is where it pays to to go to a company like America's Tire. They took care of the problem of the studs on my truck and the also offered to exchange to a different style of rim from the same manufacture or a different one within the price range I payed if the price was different I would only pay the difference. If I purchased this product at a different vendor I believe I would have paid for the stud replacement and be stuck with rims that within time would cause the studs to be stripped again. The knowledge and standing behind the products sold and the professionalism is difficult to find but you can find it at America's Tire in Salinas. I recently bought new tires at America's Tire and was very surprised. When I walked in, I was actually sincerely greeted by one of the employees who was helping another customer. Very soon, another employee came out to help me, again with a sincere smile. He helped me figure out what I needed and I was finished in an hour. Every employee there was friendly, helpful, courteous and professional. I was thrilled to see that good customer service can still exist! I hated to spend money on tires since mine were worn out only because they weren't balanced, but the treatment I got made it a little easier. Off to a rough start......8am appointment, I arrived 5 min early.....doors were still locked. As the doors were unlocked, and the manager stepped outside, he started by asking " Who was here first"....as the 3 men were tended to, and I was told "someone will be right with you", I mentioned that I had an 8am APPOINTMENT! The initial response was how the OTHERS would be "upset" if they weren't taken care of first. I disagreed, asking what exactly the purpose of an appointment was if it didn't really seem to matter. I told him that the FIRST words out of his mouth when the doors were opened SHOULD be "Does anybody that is here have an appointment?" and address THEM first! If others who are waiting get upset, letting them know that customers with appointments are tended to first! I was "comped" by some fees being removed for misc. tire stuff. I can only hope that TOMORROW when the doors open, they may address waiting customers a different way! I may be a woman entering a "mans world" of automotive service....but I'm a strong one, who stands up for herself! My last two reviews have been negative but they reprieved themselves somewhat this time. I went in with a screw in the sidewall of my run flat tire and they had a replacement in stock and fixed it quickly. It is holding air. I am glad I bought the insurance. I did not realize though that after using it you have to "renew" it and it only covers the cost of the tire. read more

I did not know what to expect when I got there, but my first impression over the phone when I called to set up an appointment went well. The salesperson on the phone seemed friendly and helpful. When I came in for my appointment, I had a little wait as I was about two customers away in line. However, listening to the way they interacted with the customers both on the phone and in person while I waited, i heard nothing but the utmost respect for the customers. Not only one employee was that way, but they all seemed to be that way. When it was finally my turn to get help, the person that helped me (I forgot his name) was very helpful in helping decide which tire to get. We went with not the most or least expensive tire, but the tire with the best value and reputation. He then quoted me a longest wait time, and the service ended up less than that time. I would highly recommend anyone to get their tires here. Although there are numerous locations for me to choose tires near my neighborhood, I will certainly go out of my way to shop there, as they certainly went above and beyond to help me. read more

TL;DR: I've been a customer for 5 years and steadily their service has declined to the point where they stole or were complicit to negligence that resulted in items missing from inside my car. I've been a customer for the past 5 years to the Salinas store and had enjoyed the service they provided. However with the former manager that I had dealt with leaving the store, their service has been on the decline. Anthony, the former manager, helped me out greatly when the employee who was helping me messed up on the recommended tires and also again when the tires were ordered off time. However now that he is gone, the service has been quite a mess. My car experienced a flat tire while I was making my move up to university, and having had previous positive experiences with this company (my tires were only a year old) I went back to them. I made appointments and arrangements to have my car serviced and tires put on asap so I could get to school. However, the employee I dealt with, first told me he could get the tires overnight if I really needed them, I would get them Thursday. I declined and asked if Friday morning would work instead so I could avoid traffic. Not only did the parts not come in at all on Friday, when I went back for my rescheduled appointment on Saturday the employee I talked too couldn't find it in the system at all. One of the employees was holding onto the tires personally and it wasn't registered with their computers. In addition, I witnessed they were servicing a Ferrari and, not following protocol, was walking and talking with the customer throughout the servicing area without the mandated eye protection to take pictures of his Ferrari with their cellphones. Since I was moving, and this is my own mistake, I hadn't fully unpacked my car of all the items. After I had gotten home and checked my belongings, I found that my headphones were missing. These were not just ipod buds either, but shure se530's. Along with the shures, my gaming headset was also gone. Since it would come down to my word vs theirs, the police are unable to do anything. In addition, after confronting the current manager, the only thing he did was ask the employees if they had found anything and lazily came up with excuses that would have resulted in their theft. "Was the car locked when you dropped it off?" "Did you check that the car was locked when you picked it up?" What a crock. Lastly, they have a 45 minute guarantee which they summarily broke during this service. In summation, while they have previously been a good company and one that I could have recommended, their current brand of service is utterly lacking. The theft from my vehicle not withstanding, they are just too unprofessional and cannot be depended on. I would give this company 0 if I could for it's level of service, but the last employee I dealt (and will ever deal with) with was very attentive to not only the customers but to her job; she alone brings up 1 star. I drive a car that I expect people to pay attention to the details of, and do pay the cost for those to be attended to. Since they cannot do so, I will from now on taking my business elsewhere. read more

Went in to get tires. My daughter used them and was happy. Salesman quoted me a price I agreed. Tires have to be ordered. Returned the next day. Original salesman was not there. Went to a funeral. Manager helped me. He looked me up on computer and quoted me a price $40.00 higher than the previous day. I stated the price quoted yesterday. He said "no can do". I said thanks and started to leave. This where it got strange. As I approached the door he rushed up behind me and tried to get me to stay. As I walked to my car he followed me.
