We had been here before an received excellent service, so we didn't even bother to compare prices elsewhere. Final update: I took the truck into my Les Schwab store back home and had them rebalance the 2 tires America's Tire in Salinas messed with and then had the tires rotated. I also had them check the front end alignment which was fine. But I learned that an under-inflated tire in front can cause drifting. The front tire that America's Tire incorrectly worked on the first time (the tire with no nail) was under-inflated and not balanced correctly. America's Tire removed the weight and never double checked it the 2nd time I had to go back and told them about the nail still in rear tire and the drifting. There is a big disconnect between the sales/counter reps and the quality of work, or I just happen to get a bad sloppy mechanic who did a poor job. So now I have an America's Tire story to share any time anyone mentions their name. And, thank you Les Schwab for doing the job right. read more

This was my first time here and I was impressed! I initially went because they were the least expensive quote by $80 for a set of BF Goodrich KO2 for my Toyota Tundra, even cheaper than Costco. During the install, they noticed that my aftermarket rims were not really compatible with normal air compressors for filling the tire with air (I used to have to go to a tire shop that services Semi-trucks to use their air compressor nozzle they use to fill the inner tire of the Semi's). But America's Tire rebuilt the Tire Pressure Sensor and put in new tire stems free of charge! Now, they can be used with normal air compressors that you find at gas stations. Also I was in and out in under two hours and I walked in with no appointment, even with the special modifications. Highly recommend! read more

I have never been to this store before. I usually get my tires from Costco but based on the amazing customer service I received from America's Tire store I will go to them from now on. It's not that I'm dissatisfied with Costco but it always seems to be days before I can get in and it's always a long wait when I do. All I needed was to get air in my tires. I could do it myself but I had an injury that prohibited me from doing so. I had to go out of town for the day and wanted my tires checked. A friend suggested America's Tire so I drove there. I had no idea they actually have an installation bay where you drive up and they will fill your tires at no charge. The young man who completed the task was so nice and friendly (I wish I had gotten his name). It was done basically in 1-2 minutes. The place was packed in my view and I said you are really busy today and he said, "no, not really, it gets much busier at the end of the day." He told me all about the services they offer and I was amazed. Again, it's nothing really against Costco, I've gone there for years but America's Tire store is a well-oiled machine. I purchased 4 Micheline tires for my 2017 RAM on 7/12/22. During installation 3 lug bolts were stripped. Three seems excessive, I can see 1 maybe 2, but 3. I was given a voucher for repairs at another shop. The repairs took an entire day, no exaggeration. I also noticed on my receipt a 40 dollar per tire (160 dollars) charge for Certificate of Exchange. I spoke to the manager who explained it was insurance. I informed him that I was never asked if I wanted purchase insurance and did not want any. He refunded the cost of insurance with out comment. It seems a rather dishonest practice to add insurance with out asking or informing the customer. Been a long time customer......no more. read more

With my 2019 Subaru Forester with a little over 5,000 miles, I get a screen image that I needed to inspect one of my tires. Sure enough, my right rear had a small nail causing a slow leak. I brought it into America's Tires in Salinas. They advised me that it would take about an hour and a half. My wife took me home. Well, in a short while, I was surprised to get updates on my smartphone. After it was still in the bay, my next message advised me that it would be ready in about ten minutes. When another message came through, my car was ready for pickup. This was a fast and efficient service well within the service time estimated. I found the personnel as being very courteous and friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised that my cost for repair was ultra-low. No question that if I have further needs for tires or repairs, this will be the first place that I visit. I can easily recommend them to others. read more

I was in the market for new wheels and tires and after searching around, found a great deal through a company in San Jose offering several special discounts. Unfortunately America's Tire's price was higher by enough that the drive to San Jose would be worth it. However, I stumbled upon their "Find it cheaper?" Feature on the website and filled it out. I was not expecting a response but received a call in less than an hour from Rex at America's Tire. He verified the price of the tires I was looking at and agreed to match it. I also told him I was interested in a set of wheels and, after verifying, he agreed to match that price as well. He was extremely professional and, I was shocked that they were able to match some deeply discounted items. He ordered the wheels and tires and set me up for an appointment the following week. In the interim time, they called to let me know that the wheels and tires had showed up. I showed up for my scheduled appointment and was helped by one of the managers who worked professionally and quickly getting me checked in and taking my keys. I was excited to see the new wheels on my truck so I watched the guys in the shop work on it; they hustle and work hard to get customers in and out (they were very busy). They were also very professional in dealing with people. While watching, Rex came out and introduced himself, complimented the wheels and tires and thanked me for my business. Top notch professionalism. Overall, I was very impressed by the service at this shop at every level. On the phone, in person and in the garage. I work in retail and know how hard it is to get all the "moving parts" working together to provide a superior customer experience; these guys have done it. I will definitely be back for future business and you should absolutely consider giving them yours as well. when i came i had my own tpms sensor replace and i told Jose i had my sensor light on , and i asked him would they be able to fix that. when they install my new tpms sensor. could that be turn off or reset when is done. and he even scan my tpms sensor that i brought. and they said there good they will work. after a long wait, my car was the same thing they replace it and mount balance my tire, but they could not even reset that sensor light in my car. and i had to pay advance $124.00 just for them to that and they can't even reset that light off. on my car & horrible, bad service and liers. and one the worker gave me my keys said he try to reset he can't do anything. but you guys made me pay$124.00 and you guys can't do anything. and he told me just go to the Toyota dealer they could do it. if i knew this was gonna happened i should just went there first. not come here at all what a bad day for me paying this much never again!!! read more

Came here because my tire sensors were all out and I kept getting the flat tire pressure icon on my dashboard even after refilling the air in my tires. Luckily, they were within the 5-year warranty that I got at this location only 3 years ago. They were able to replace all of them including the one on the spare tire for free because of warranty. It was a Tuesday midday and it took approximately 3 hours with an appointment because they were behind a bit when they estimated only 2 hours. I worked with Angel and he was friendly and nice. Excellent tire company! I called the store after finding a metal piece in my tire and even with it being thirty minutes before closing, the manager said come in and we will help you. Jose G greeted me and remembered the phone call. He checked the damaged tire and measured the other tires for safety. Jose G gave me several scenarios, as you know sometimes a tire is unrepairable. Luckily, the tire was repairable but he gave me reasonable quotes for my tires that are clearly ready to be replaced. I plan on having my new tires purchased from America's Tires...asap. I arrived 10 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment and met the fellow receiving customers in the parking lot. Within 15 minutes they were working on my tire that had a slow leak. They ordered some Michelin tires that I could not find anywhere my young driver had a tire blow out and I needed a repair. I like to have all my tires match. Not only did they find the tire. They price matched it and my daughter was able to take the suv in and have the tires installed with no fuss. Easy , reliable and honest prices. Been going to America's Tire for years. Just got 2 sets of tires for our 2 vehicles at a good price. The techs know what they are doing and the service is very good. You don't even need to be a customer and they will rotate and balance your tires for free! Usually they get you out quickly, unless you pick a busy day, but you can make an on line appt. They also have a free tire check and will fill your tires to the proper air pressure. read more

I ran over a large piece of wood on the road and bent two steel rims. I was able to keep driving for a week on them but my girlfriend was going to drive 18 plus hours to and from Texas so I thought it would be better to get new ones rather than risk anything. Of course I waited until the day before to look though. Online I found the matching set for $62.00 a rim or $124.00 total not including shipping if there was any. I went to America's Tire expecting to pay double because let's face it when you need something and it's not online double seems to be the going rate haha. Anyways I mentally was preparing myself when I called them and the guy on the phone quoted me $135.00 for both new matching steel rims with mounting (installation) included...I was like okay that's what he says to get me there but that doesn't mean that's what I'm going to actually pay I'm sure. Well I got there dropped it off and the total was $135.44 and I couldn't believe it. I took a walk to Jamba Juice and came back waited like 15 minutes if that and they pulled it out for me. The service tech came up to me and said, "okay we replaced the rims and balanced them and rotated the tires on the passenger side to the rear." I checked their work out and sure enough they did everything be said and all that was the 135 I was quotes so I drove home smiling with some faith in humanity restored. I am happy with the service provided by this establishment. The wait time was consistent and the service manager was friendly. I ordered a set of tires from the website and placed the order. But when I went into the store, the order number was not found... which I found to be a bit odd. I guess they don't have a central database, or poor communication between the corporate store and the franchise. However, they did honor the price from the website. So I am happy. The only gripe I had with my service was the white stuff left around the rims after my tire change. I'm guessing it is a lubricant of some sort used during the installation and just a cosmetics issue; however, after spending over $1000 on the new tires, I felt they should at least wipe it off. read more

I consider myself to be lucky and highly privileged for having America's tire in one of my corners. Staff named Jose, Joey, Ricky and Robert do an amazingly terrific job...Team work is nothing new to these guys. The store manager named Jose I find to be highly effective, courteous, informative and very respectful. Jose is a friendly manager who has, does and will keep doing his job with perfection. The bathrooms in the Salinas store are always clean, showroom always dusted, counters sparkling, customer parking trash free and everytime I was offered the absolute lowest possible pricing... My tires fitted and installed to perfection. It's a stress relief to me to not have to worry about price haggling. America's tire extends the absolute lowest available pricing to me everytime I visit. I wanted to take this time especially and separately to extend special thanks to America's tire manager and staff member, "Robert" and "Rex". Robert and Rex did an extra special delicate job of dismounting and mounting, installing the performance tires I ordered with extra special care. Aft8er I arrived home and after close inspection of all 4 of my wheels, I could not find 1 scratch on any wheel, not even a scratch on my lug nuts. Every time I come in I get exceptional customer service. I have been helped by Isaiah a few times and each time he educated me on how my tires were doing, which I appreciate to make sure I am driving as safe as possible. I have purchased tires here a few times now and they always have the best prices. I can get a set of new tires and alignment all at once (unlike Costco where I had to go elsewhere for alignment). I love that they will send you email reminders to come in free for a rotation or air pressure every few months. They are also very efficient. I find myself never having to wait to long for my car to be ready. I will continue to come to this location. I usually go online to make my appointment and they always have times available within a day or two. They are also doing a fantastic job handling customers despite the pandemic going on. My wife and I were heading to Cambria from Concord for the Easter 2021 holiday. I unfortunately ran into a curb while making left turn and popped the left front and right driver side tires. After getting safely to the side of the rode in Salinas, I did a search for tire shops after calling for a tow. I came upon America's Tire in Salinas off of Main Street. The staff was wonderful, especially Angel who showed great patience, honesty and efficiency. After about 45 minutes, we were back on the rode with two new tires and a grateful attitude towards Cambria for a Easter weekend with family.
