I've been going to these guys for a several years now but recently in last 2 visits, I had bad experience on multiple fronts. It almost appeared that the employees feel that they are full of business and want to drive away customers to reduce load on themselves. It was not the case with all employees but some I dealt last two times definitely fit the bill. Both times, I was installing new tires. In first visit, I installed new front tires on one of my EVs and all 4 new tires on another EV. In second visit, I installed new rear tires on the EV (which had new front tires installed 2 months ago). 1. They left wheel cap off after changing tires and handed the car to my son (who went to pick up car for me). We had to drive back for that. 2. When changing front tires for first EV, in first visit, they took the wheel lock from glove box but left it in a empty paper coffee cup in cup holder. That was cleaned up by car wash guy and luckily they kept it in a bucket of such stuff in rear which we didn't know about. In the next visit, the wheel lock was missing and we had to find it in the cleanup bucket that I was in garage and they were rude about us asking them why they didn't put it back in glove box or at least in console storage. 3. They were forcing wheel alignment on (1) front new tires installed 2 months and (2) new back tires being installed now saying they won't be aligned after installation. Isn't it your job to keep things in order when installing new stuff and not cause deliberate misalignment? If customer driving, usage, weather and road conditions caused wheel alignment requirement I understand. But just because you are installing new 2 tires and you mess up the alignment - you want us to pay for it. I wouldn't mind if he's suggesting it but he was insisting it! 4. Then my son asked how long does it take to change tires so we can figure whether we should step out and come back instead of waiting, he says - "however long it takes" (that too rudely). read more

Had an appointment today for new tires. I had ordered my tired ahead of time online and they came in early. Inwas able to reschedule my appointment to a day earlier. Appointment time was honored at the time I had and work was done quickly. Excellent customer service. The only thing I might recommend is that while the remodeling is going on and the limited seating is outside they could provide some heaters. read more

I always get my tires here. Great customer service! My tire light came on and they have a spot for checking tire pressure and adding air. You don't even have to get out of your car! The young man quickly checked them and added the appropriate amount. Off I drove, confident that my tires had the appropriate pressure. read more

2 days i have called and been put on hold. at least 20 minutes each time only to be hung up on. Id rather pay $200 more for good service elsewhere. This is not a professional business. Went ahead and walked in hoping to get my flat tire fixed and if they have appointments or any walk ins available. Chris who had checked me in was very nice and informative. While the check in process was going on the other staff was so jumping ahead start and went ahead to fix my car right away. The whole process was less than 25 mins. This place is always busy, only because they have great service and very helpful staff. I've taken my cars to them a couple of times. Although once the technician accidentally slashed one of my tires during an installation so I ended up getting a replacement, but also had to pay (with a discount) for another since tires are usually recommended to be replaced in pairs. The person I talked to then was very helpful. I understand accidents happen, and they do what they can to help you out...although it would suck if you were on a budget and couldn't afford a brand new tire. Either way, I would still go back for their services. read more

I had tires under warranty came here to get them replaced because they were popping and had just got them they told me the tires lose thread that quick and that's why they popped and that's how they are then they tell me they don't have any in stock so I go to the Manteca America's tires and I tell them what's happening turns out they did have them in stock but just didn't want to replace my tires so at Manteca they are good here they don't know what their doing and are rude and don't follow their own warranty so what's the point of even getting it if they won't keep it also they didn't balance the tire according to the Manteca America tires so I don't think it speaks good for this specific place if their own brand in another is saying how bad of a job they do at this specific establishment. read more

I needed tires and was planning on getting them but one of my tires got a slow leak so it pushed up my deadline. I arrived at Americas Tire at 7:55am and had two folks in front of me. When the doors opened promptly at 8:00, two gentlemen came out and said," how can I help you?" You don't hear that very much these days. I went inside to catch the next available person,Chris, who then proceeded to go over what I needed. This was the best experience I've ever had buying tires, and I'm 76 yo, so I've had a few. A couple of weeks ago, I was running errands in my car, and I noticed my car computer was registering my left front tire with extremely low air pressure. I looked at my tire and sure enough, it was close to being flat. I immediately drove to a nearby gas station and filled the tire with air and then I drove to American Tire located on Grantline Rd. in Tracy. I drove into the line for the "free air check" that they offer, and I had the pleasure of being assisted by a young man named Angel. He was very friendly, yet professional and listened as I explained my experience with the tire. He seemed very knowledgeable and explained to me what he found. He asked me if I had the time for him to take off the tire and check it for a nail and possible repair to the tire. I told him I did and asked him what the charge would be. He referred me to the manager on duty, his name was Shaun, but I am not sure if that is how he spelled it. I was told there would not be a cost for the repair since we have purchased several sets of tires for our vehicles. Shaun showed me that my tires had an unusual wear pattern and that I should consider replacing them since they were older than the normal age for tires lasting, but he wasn't pushy which I appreciated. He did take the time to give me an idea of replacement tires and the cost to replace them all. Thanks for all you did for me Angel and Shaun!! A grateful customer! read more

America's Tires has been really great. They price-matched a competitor, so I got great tires at a great price WITH a great warranty! Whenever my tire pressure seems low, I can stop by any local America's Tire and they'll top me off for free - no fussing with change, or a gas station machine that isn't working - no hassle at all. However, I *strongly* recommend making appointments if you need anything more than air in your tires, which you can do online or by calling in. They are usually very busy, and walking in can take quite a long time (hours). As for the service, always great. They even have a handheld sensor that can check your tires' sensors - a common cause for the tire pressure light coming on. They can identify that issue in minutes! And the people at the counter are knowledgeable, you never feel like they're trying to push anything on you, unlike so many repair shops. One last word of warning: check your hubcaps each time you have them work on your car, if they are the type that come off easily. I've had that problem a few times. Woke up and found my Chevy Tahoe on a flat in my driveway. Called up AAA for a tow to my favorite tire shop Americas Tire. Since my tire was under warranty I knew Americas Tire would repair or replace my tire. I was able to grab lunch to pass some time. They called me after almost an hour and a half. I had a flat tire over the weekend and had a hard time finding a good tire place to help me replace my tires. It was unpatch able so I had to buy 4 new tires. The horror, I know. So I went to Les Schwab like my dad advised, I even made an appointment and looked at what tires I wanted to purchase. Pretty bad experience, although Mike was helpful it took me 20-30min to even be seen there. They didn't have much in stock for it being a tire shop so I went to Americas tires down the street, and my gawd what a difference. As soon as I parked (driving in my spare tire) and walked in I was greeted and helped. I can't remember the name of the guy that helped me but he was so helpful breaking down warranty, pricing and quality to me! It would've cost the same at Les Schwab but the customer service was unmatched. I purchased all 4 there and they were done so quick, I even got a text notification when they were complete. If I could put no stars I would i had a appointment for 4 new tires and a alignment first thing in the morning got there early they put the tires on and then parked my truck in the lot without the alignment I wait an hour then went to go see what's going on turns out the technician when to lunch an hour into his shift (were tf do they do that at !?!?!) I said ok he came back and did another car for a hour (I was first) waited and he did ANOTHER car so i went and got a refund waited 3 hours for a alignment and didn't even up do it what a waste of time. I had my car here today for new tire. Received text msg at 11:39am that vehicle is ready to be picked up. I picked up the car key at 3:58pm from the store. I walked to the car and the car was ON. It is Toyota Prius. I told the nearby Americas tire associate that the car is running. I checked the car hybrid system and it was running for more than 4 HOURS. This associate told me, standing next to my car, it is IMPOSSIBLE. I told him, this is hybrid car may be someone missed turning it off. This guy had guts to tell me, someone whose car was left turned on for 4 hours, that our guys are highly trained and this cannot happen. Not a single word of apology. The reason for this review is not the fact that car was left ON for more than 4 Hours, but the fact that these guys need to be trained on basics: CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. To add it up, this guy added: "you can try to talk to my manager but our guys are highly trained and it is impossible" I didnt had time but I could have told this guy to go check the cameras that I have not even entered the car and it is running. But that is for someone who wanted to understand the concern - not an arrogant employee who things no one knows better than him.
