It could be because it's located downtown, but it's just strange for a public library. Maybe if they had security making sure people who park are actual patrons, they could make parking free. Another idea would be to have patrons come in and be given a token to put into the slot for an amount of time they plan to stay. The library has three floors and plenty of room for everyone. I like that it's very roomy. The staff is friendly. Sometimes people do loiter around the entrance which is intimidating. Some homeless people hang out at the tables which is fine because there are enough tables for everyone, just an FYI.

One day I was using the computer and after I got finished using it I found a phone that may have belonged to a younger female who said she had left it behind and forgot it. I walked all around the library hoping I would be able to find who lost their phone but nothing else left to do but leave thinking: "hey! I found me a phone!" Nope, not even close. I ended up catching a bus ride home and even an half hour later that phone rang and it was the female who lost it. So I returned the item and the lady got mad at me and called the cops and it made me get banned from the library forever apparently. But time only tells when you didn't get arrested for 6 straight years being a good citizen and it made me look I was a criminal. It was probably was a phishing scam to get me thrown out Anyways. So to make things short I guess what I'm saying is if you really want a real review then read what I have to say. I don't recommend coming here. There's too much going on with drama.

Alpha Park Library is our local library. I've lived in a lot of places and been in a lot of…read morelibraries, and this is, by far, the second best one ever. (I haven't been in my hometown library in years, so I can't displace them just yet!) The kids floor has several cute little play areas with toys, places to read, places for parents to sit, and friendly staff. The downstairs adult area has lots of staff to help with questions and everyone seems to be at least helpful if they can't be friendly. Trust me, I've been to lots of libraries, and in some places you can't even get them to look at you, much less help. The amazing thing about Alpha Park are the programs and services; they have tons! It's kept my kids busy all summer, and if my husband didn't work second shift, I'd be down there for the adult programs every week night! Thanks, Alpha Park!!

Peoria Wilbert Vault Co. Inc. Delivered steps with holes in top for handrail which I did not…read moreorder. They filled the wet holes with cement. Damaged them while setting and repaired south bottom left south top edge damaged. Top has knobs on top I guess for safety. My tennis shoes gets caught on them. Will not be able to shovel snow off. I have never seen knobs on steps before. A hazard for me. Never told me about this. They look used with the damage that remains. With such soft concrete I fear that they will not last long. I am ashamed for anyone to see something I paid $879.14 for. I want my money returned and for them to come and get the unit. These steps are a hazard for me and I am afraid when I have to use them. I thought all steps have a flat top. These are the first for me. Very unhappy after spending that much money. Who would leave holes in top when no handrail was ordered. I guess when they do vaults and they get buried who sees anything. I cringe every time I look out my sliding doors. I am so afraid to use them after not being able to move my feet without them getting caught on the knobs. Please help!!
