Customer service was AMAZING! Place was clean. Everyone was very attentive. I love that they have unlimited game /bowling as an option. Fair prices on EVERYTHING, Food & mixed drinks was REALLY good! First time here & I will surely make this spot a weekly family go to. I highly recommend this location. Thank you for taking care of my family while we celebrated my nephew 7th birthday

Very reasonably priced especially when you get a Groupon. It's $23 for 2 people for 2 hours. And the food isn't expensive either. Great place to hangout and staff are friendly. Just don't like the outside atmosphere and the area. But overall pretty decent

Vickie is the best manager/league runner around. She treats her guests like family. Monica is always taking care of the bowlers and is a fantastic asset. Thank you team. Unfortunately Neven was the rude employee of the night. Glad I don't see him often. Also unfortunately they fired Jessica. Shame.

1990's purple hammer urethane was perfect in these conditions!

This place will test your ability to adapt! I'm an avid bowler, been bowling in leagues since I was a kid. This particular house is very difficult to consistently score high. This isn't a bad thing, just check your average compared to everyone else's and you'll quickly see some places are just easier to score higher. The lanes are a bit older style. You step up to the approach, something that was done away with in most bowling alleys, and the approach is ACTUALLY WOODEN! This reminds me of when I was a kid. The approach was wood and so were the lanes..some parts are worn more and splintered but that's not why the scoring is hard. It's the lane conditioning or lack of .. I have bowled here on several occasions where the lanes were so dry I used my plastic spare ball as my strike ball and it still over-hooked! I usually use a 1991 Hammer urethane when I go there. It has very low hooking potential and that's perfect for the dry surfaces. I have the highest average on my league but it's easily 15 points lower than at other alleys. The AMF Union Hills location has shown to be consistently oiled and in great condition. Basically if you're a good bowler you can repeat your shot. The BEST bowlers can take that talent then adjust to whatever conditions are thrown at them so it's really good to practice here just don't get discouraged if you bowl a little lower than normal.

The settings within it are so varied and fun to hang out in and explore, and many of our guests came to tell us how gorgeous it was. Moving on from looks, Boojum Tree also has fantastic package deals, which made planning for the wedding so much less stressful from out of state. To have a set of great vendors already included (bar, catering, DJ, and day-of-coordinator), as well as decorations, silverware, linens, chairs, ceremony equipment, etc etc was the best thing and really helped us be present and enjoy our wedding. Our day-of-coordinator, Jennifer, was also incredible! She took great care of us, staying organized, moving around flowers and decorations, ensuring our wedding favors were at each table, coordinating with our other vendors, helping with an emergency dress bustling, keeping us on time, and hundreds of other things that we did not see behind the scenes. She clearly works hard and is amazing at what she does. This was the perfect venue for the best day of our lives and booking with Boojum was the single best decision we made. We cannot sing their praises enough and could not have had the wedding we did without them. We are so thankful to the team that made it happen!

I chose to contact Boojum Tree because this is the first place that we thought of for our wedding reception, this this was in 2003. Anyway Jennifer emailed me back 4 or 5 days ago and was asking some details. I gave her the details for my criteria. I did not have an actual count of people yet. She ghosted me, I have not heard anything back from her. Her email to me made it sound like they wouldn't help me out. So along with the sadness my kids and I are feeling, this did not go the way I would have liked the outcome to be.

The venue manager, Lorena, is completely unprofessional, and the communication throughout the entire process was a nightmare. If you are considering booking this space, please be aware of the multiple red flags we experienced: Right from the start, Lorena canceled our first viewing appointment. Once we rescheduled and booked, communication via text became incredibly difficult. She would take days to respond, routinely failed to fully read messages, and would either ignore direct questions or respond with completely irrelevant answers. Getting a clear answer on when we could meet to pay our remaining balance was an exhausting process of constant follow-ups. During our initial visit, we were explicitly told multiple times that we could have a taquero set up inside the venue. However, when we arrived a month before the event to pay our final balance, Lorena abruptly changed her story, stating it wasn't allowed due to code issues. While code compliance is understandable, she should have contacted us to let us know about the changes sooner. Fortunately, our caterer was flexible enough to switch to a buffet style. We were told the venue would be open starting at 9:00 AM on the day of our event. When we arrived at 1:00 PM to set up, the building was locked. It took staff 30 minutes to arrive and open up, leaving us and our vendors waiting outside, which threw off our entire schedule. During setup, venue personnel constantly hovered and micromanaged us--complaining about the doors being open while we were actively unloading heavy items and restricting one of the vendors from using the VIP suite we had explicitly been told we could use for storage. Our contract required a $500 refundable deposit, which we paid in cash and were promised would be returned in cash. It ultimately took nearly two weeks of constant hounding to get our money back. When I went to retrieve it the Thursday after the event, Lorena claimed she didn't have the cash and promised the owner (Lupita) would Zelle it to me. After providing my information, Lorena would not respond to my texts for days, or sometimes would not respond at all. Fed up, I managed to track down the owner's number directly. When I spoke to Lupita on Friday, she informed me that she had actually given the deposit money to Lorena the day prior. Lorena had the money since Thursday and had not contacted me, even though she knew I had been asking for it for two weeks. The owner told me I could pick it up that day. When I finally went to pick up the deposit, Lorena was incredibly short with us and didn't even apologize. If I hadn't taken it upon myself to bypass management and contact the owner directly, I would probably still be waiting for my money. What should have been a celebratory experience was ruined by unnecessary stress and unprofessionalism. The venue itself is great for parties, but the venue manager/coordinator was horrible. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

It's hard to list out all the reasons I love Mini Social: the event space itself, the customization that's possible, the location in Old Town Scottsdale, the kitchen, the storage space in the back, the lighting, 2 bathrooms inside, and all the options with the furniture (tables, chairs, couch, coffee table, etc) are all 10/10. Beyond this though, the team behind Mini Social is what stands out at the top of my list - they are truly so unmatched. You won't meet people more committed to making your event magical. While many people use Mini Social for private parties, baby showers, bridal showers, birthdays, corporate events, etc, my experience has been with hosting craft socials for women's community events. I felt so supported by the team and got so much help from them in customizing the setup for my needs, plenty of time for setup and cleanup, and epic communication. They are absolute pros! Jessica is super talented when it comes to design elements, florals, balloons, etc. I feel like planning and hosting events can be so stressful and there are so many moving elements. It can be hard to let go of control or certain aspects in planning - but Luke & Jessica make it so easy and operate like your teammates. Cannnnnot wait to host another event here!
