I was in a rush to resolve the window issue from afar while I was out of town, so I went with the…read morefirst business who answered my inquiry call. Sure, the service was efficient as suggested, but their business model is crooked and misleading. On the phone they said their diagnostic fee was $65, and if it was a simple issue with the power window slipping out of it's assembly, the fix would be quick and would apply against the diagnostic fee and cost nothing more. But if it's a regulator issue, she said, it would take longer. This language was rehearsed and deliberate and implied diagnostic fees applied toward repairs... Until they gave me a regulator diagnosis, with a repair cost of $315, and retained the diagnostic fee in top of that. Over $400 to fix my basic power window issue is lame enough, but crafting their misleading language to cover up an objectively money-grabbing business practice puts them on a par with the legendary charlatans of Brake Mastery. I will never go back here, nor recommend them to anyone else. Absolutely shameful.

I had a 7:00 am appointment and was the only customer at that time. The whole process moved quickly--I received appointment reminders and updates about my car via text and email. Kristian, my glass replacement technician, was very professional and ranks among Safelite's best technicians in the industry. He competes in the Auto Glass Technician Competition (AGTO) and the Auto Glass Technician Calibration. Kristian took the time to explain the process and inquired if I had any questions before and after installation. Even though my insurance company estimated up to a 3-hour service time, Kristian was done in 1.25 hours. There was no time wasted, no misunderstandings -- just a seamless, efficient service from beginning to end.

The work was professionally done and they explained it all to me beforehand and afterward. The price seemed fair for what they did for my 2 old cars. My 2005 had a shattered back window (a thrown rock). The tiny pebbles of glass were everywhere inside the car & it took the extra time to vacuum all of the shards. The 1994 car had a heat crack/expansion of a small round 3/4-inch, 20-year-old crack. It grew into a 2 feet front windshield crack. Again, they were kind about my old clunker, even calling it classic and being support of my completely paid-for-old workhorse. I spent several hours over 2 days with the 2 cars in their waiting room (doing my "day job"). Their waiting room is exceptionally air-conditioned and a good place to write notes, read or work on my laptop. The price seemed fair, I paid out-of-pocket, and I would recommend them to a friend. (I would not mind having another window replaced so I can feel like a queen again -- driving away in a car with completely clean windows and nicely vacuum floorboards!)

We were recommended to talk to Auto Glass and they were super helpful in working with our car manufacturer to figure out how to get a replacement window. Unfortunately it seemed getting the glass would take too long for the manufacturer (10-14 days!!!!) so we were instead routed to their service center in Dallas. Auto Glass - at no charge (!!!) - knocked out the remaining glass, cleaned out the trunk of all the loose glass shards and patched us up temporarily so we could drive the car.
