I was visiting my parents in Los Alamos when on my way home my car broke down. My dad came to my rescue and told me to take my car here to Jordan because he really loves this place...today was not even a day they were open and Jordan came in and fixed my car without us even knowing and called my dad to let him know we could pick the car up. I had some weird vibrations in my truck when traveling at low speeds, and the truck would shutter and the steering wheel vibrate up and down when coming to a stop. I thought it was warped rotors. Turns out it was a failing cross shaft (if I have the terminology correct) for the drive shaft U-joint at the rear axle. The U-joint was repaired and the truck runs great. Our experience with Automotive Professionals is they are really great at finding what's causing problems and fixing them, at really decent prices. read more

We were traveling through Santa Fe on our way home from camping and exploring the backroads in southern colorado. We wound up puncturing a tire which we were able to salvage with a plug to get us to Santa Fe and then the clutch started making loud grinding metallic sounds. We went to a national chain tire shop and while the tire guys were doing their thing I got on the internet and started calling repair shops about the clutch. Everyone was either booked up for weeks or did not answer. Jordan at Automotive Professionals answered and when I described the symptoms he began explain what he thought the problem was, gave me a cost estimate based on that and said he'd get us taken care of. I have never had a mechanic provide such an educational description of any car problem ever. I said we'd get the car to his shop as soon as we had new tires installed. A few minutes later he called to say that he'd have all the parts he thought we'd need by the end of the day. By the time we got to the shop Jordan had all the parts and was ready to tear into our Subaru. I don't know exactly how to describe this but talking with Jordan was an experience that is totally unique to me in all my years of getting cars fixed. I have never seen so many happy people in a car shop- everyone was laughing and calm and the overall feeling was peaceful - no stress. Several people talked to us and asked how we found Jordan and they all told us we are some of the luckiest people ever to have stumbled onto Jordan because "he's the best". He made some suggestions on how to spend our time in Santa Fe and we found a hotel and he sent us on our way in a loaner car with no questions asked. Jordan has a gift for not just fixing cars but for helping people. Jordan now has our contact information with an offer for a free place to stay if he is ever in Tucson. We are hoping he takes us up on that soon. Oh yeah- the car was ready by 1:00 pm the next day. read more

Usually, when I walk into a garage I quickly develop the feeling that I'm being thoroughly bullshitted. Not here. Jordan, all the mechanics I spoke with, and Alex in the front office are honest and exhibit a high degree of integrity in every interaction we had from our first contact on the phone through the test-drive after the repair and, yep, even after payment was tendered. They're knowledgeable and really friendly. They welcomed questions and answered them with detailed and informative responses. And they're reasonably priced compared with two other shops that I contacted after getting the estimate from Automotive Professionals, who came in about 20% higher for the same parts/work. I'm not a mechanic but I know my way around a car. And I had a particularly tough time figuring out where a high-frequency, mirror melting vibration was coming from on the old 2000 4Runner. Jordan sussed it out immediately as a problem with the rear drive shaft. This part is notoriously difficult to find and procure. But they managed to get it right after the parts store sent the wrong part and charged me the original, quoted price even though the lower quote was for the wrong part. They didn't charge me for the estimate, did a lot of small, cosmetic work for no charge, and helped me out to save money at every turn. This turned out to be a lot of money and will be back next time I have any issue with the old truck or any other car I get. read more
