So, it was my first time here but my family comes here every time they come to Kihei. I hate to say but I was not impressed. Staff was very nice, but the food was lacking. Chips were stale and a few people at my table complained that the food they ordered was bland. I ordered Sangria and was told they ran out. That sucked because it was Saturday at 12:30pm. Bummer for happy hour patrons. Also, we ordered blended margaritas no salt and got on the rocks with salt. I didn't bother telling the server as she appeared to be a little overwhelmed. 3 stars for the atmosphere. I do recommend the ceviche and Hibiscus margarita wasn't bad. We came to Maui for a family trip from California. We pass by this restaurant decide to eat here. Food was flavorless, you have to literally buy la salsa for a fee of $3.00 the tostadas another $3.00 or anything you may want to add to the food the ceviche bowls was horrible, no tostadas , the fajitas were burn (shrimp & steak) come on we are a LatinoX family so we know about real Mexican food. One of the first restaurants we tried in Maui - There was no wait time and so we were seated right away. You get free chips and salsa and then if you wanted additional guacamole and quest, there was that option as well. I got the chicken tortilla soup, which was okay but not the best soup I've had. However, the smoothies were the best and tastiest smoothies I've ever tried in my life! Don't know what they put in it but definitely get it when you're at this restaurant...but don't get it to-go. We loved these smoothies so much that we got them the next day to-go but even the same flavors did not taste the same. Food was kinda overpriced for how it tasted. The food was pretty awful. The chilaquiles were super soggy, the sauce tasted super generic, the creme fresh was runny, and the carne asada lacked flavor. The margarita was SO sweet and weak that it just tasted the way a Citrus housecleaning product would smell. Almost sent it back, and I haven't sent a drink back more than once every three years. The food is good enough but the service and prices will not have me coming back. The waitress acted as if we were an inconvenience. There were two ladies working the area, one younger(20s) and one older(50s). The younger one tried to help us but it was obvious that we were in the other lady's section. Our waitress seemed upset that as we were being seated (not even having the time for our butts to hit the seat) we were not ready to order. When we were ready (minutes later, and the 3rd time she asked) she kept trying to upsell the plates. I did choose to add beans and rice for $3, which isn't too bad in my opinion, but please explain to me why there was a literal TEASPOON of rice and maybe 3 teaspoons of beans?? Were they almost out and trying to stretch it or is that typical for them? I almost forgot to mention that the check was dropped before our food was even served. I ordered the burrito and it was supposed to have more than beans in it, but I honestly couldn't find much else. I found 2 pieces of diced onion (couldn't find any tomato from the pico) and a few bites had ground beef (my choice of meat) My burrito with beans and rice ended up about $25. BREAKFAST My buddy and I recently enjoyed "Three Amigo's Sunday". I was informed that Amigo's has a decent breakfast and I have heard different stories about which location is best. So, I had this crazy idea that since they serve breakfast all day long, it is reasonable to check out Amigo's for breakfast, lunch and dinner, eating breakfast items for each. This review will be posted for each of the three locations as I will incorporate information about each of three within this review. Their Bloody Marys are decent. The Kihei location has a special for only $3.50 until 11 am, while Kahului has them at $4 until 11 am. The Kahului ones had more spice. By the time we got to Lahaina around 4:30, they were out of bloody mix for the day and they said they do not have any morning specials at that location. I will still check out the Lahaina bloody marys at some point. Regarding drink specials in addition to bloody marys, the Kahului location also has $4 Screwdrivers and Well Drinks from 8 am until 11 am. Kihei has $3.50 Screwdrivers, as well as $5 Margaritas and Mimosas. The food quality at all three locations were similar. However, the Kihei location has a wider selection of breakfast items, and is cheaper than the other two locations. The Kahului location does have a salsa bar which was nice. However, servers at the other locations will bring you salsa upon request. The El Carnivoro Skillet was my favorite and I ate it in Lahaina. Prices for this are $10.99 Kihei, $12 Kahului, $15.99 Lahaina. The Machaca Con Heuvos was also very good and I ordered that in Kahului. Prices for that are $9.99 Kihei, $12 Kahului, $14.99 Lahaina. The Amigo's Burrito with meat was also nice. $6.99 Kihei, $8 Kahului, $9.99 Lahaina. Lahaina offers 13 breakfast choices. Kahului offers the same 13 choices plus seven Breakfast Tortas and six Breakfast Tacos. Kihei offers 23 breakfast entrees. Kihei also offers five specials at only $5.99 until 11 am. Service was good at each location. It was interesting that each location offers 10% Kama'aina discount on food and non-alcohol drinks, and this is on an already affordable menu. Breakfast hours in Lahaina and Kihei are Sunday through Thursday 8 am until 9 pm, Friday and Saturday 8 am until 10 pm. Breakfast hours in Kahului are 8 am until 9 pm Daily. Parking for the Lahaina location is best in the back, but make sure to get your parking validated so you can get two hours of free parking. If you are looking for affordable breakfast food and appreciate Tex-Mex, then any of the Amigo's locations should work out. However, Kihei is the best of the locations based on price, specials, and number of menu items. read more

Visited the first week they reopened for dine in service again. Still don't feel comfortable dining anywhere, but so glad they're still doing takeout and have their daily specials. We ordered lunch on a Wednesday and I opted for the special, an Al Pastor chimichanga, my husband got the carnitas burrito (I'm a fan of their carne asada burrito), my mom opted for the shredded beef enchilada plate and the kids got the cheese quesadilla keiki meal. The meats on the chimichanga and burrito were seasoned well and all ingredients were fresh and tasty. The only thing I would do differently is not pay an extra $3 each to make the burrito and chimichanga plates a meal. Making it a meal was adding beans and rice. The refried beans and spanish rice were okay, but next time I would just opt for tortilla chips and salsa instead. Other than that, good food, decently priced and we'll be back. read more

We stopped in for happy hour. I've only eaten at their Kahului location and found a delish beef burrito similar in taste to the defunct Taco Lei's version, which I've been searching high and low for. ATMOSPHERE: New-looking, small space in Azeka Marketplace. High ceilings, lots of windows, good-sized bar area. BEVERAGE: Modello Negra - For happy hour, the 20-oz. size was only $5 ($1 off) and came in a frosty mug which made the beer super cold. Loved it! SERVICE: The female bartender was friendly. I questioned why one of my beers wasn't at the happy hour price when it was ordered before 6pm - she just brushed it off and said it must've been after 6pm when I ordered it. Not a big deal as it was only $1 but it's the principle of the whole thing. Oh well, less tip from me. OVERALL: Nice place to grab some brew, but there are tons of other places with happy hours and better service. read more
