Brother loved the fish burrito. I got a taco salad the chicken was bland but the guacamole and salsa were very good. The cheese quesadilla was extremely cheesy ! About $13-$17 a plate a little expensive for a food truck but that's Hawaii . The service was good and they were fairly quick !

We sat on the patio to watch the sunset, but traffic and power lines took away from the ambiance. I lived in San Antonio Texas for 35 years so I'm used to authentic Mexican food. In this case, the food was just okay. We had the chicken enchiladas verdes with chips and salsa, and while everything was fine, it didn't really stand out for us. The staff were very nice, but overall it's not a place we'd return to again.

This place was right down the street from our condo. So we were coming back from the beach and picked so food up. The place is small it has tables outside to eat. The food was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. Glad we gave this place a try it was worth it! Cheers

We were trying to find a quiet place to grab a bite near our stay and walked into this shopping center. Next door there was a line for the sushi and this hole in the wall, so we decided to try it. Staff was super friendly as we walked in, just two of them. Basically a take out joint, but seating in the courtyard. We ordered a couple items to eat there and relax and asked if we could have them make food for a take out order on the same ticket and they did without problem. They timed our take out to bring home to family perfectly. The food was super good, organic, fresh, local ingredients. Pricing was surprisingly low considering the size and freshness, we're used to paying this or more for less. I ordered the Upcountry burrito. The flavors are certainly unique to Maui and nothing close to what I would expect back in California. The ginger fried rice is really what caught my eye, and boy am I glad I gave this a shot. The combo of the ginger rice, slaw, pork and beans was so good and I can't remember the last time I had a burrito tasting so fresh. And these are sharing size! My wife ordered the Mahi burrito. Once again, big size burrito super fresh tasting. Their sauces are great, and the cabbage still has a nice crunch to it. The chips and salsa they provided for us to eat "here" were nice too, really good salsas. We also got a garlic shrimp burrito to bring back to my sister in law, she had been really enjoying similar items around the island. It was ridiculously good. Even our daughter who generally didn't like other garlic shrimp was nomming Auntie's burrito. Great food, really friendly staff, easy to grab a bite and wish we'd found it sooner.

I could never get enough of this place. Tacos are my favorite food and it took me forever to finally find a good spot on Maui. I've tried so many taco places on island and Jaws is by far the best one. I love the Baja steak tacos and the cilantro rice. The burritos are also amazing. Also the owner and staff are so so friendly and kind

We tried Jawz after a long day under the sun. The carne asada tacos were delicious as I got them Baja style. The El Pastor tacos were good too. The portions are large and the prices low considering the location and quality of the food. The service is friendly. The ambiance is casual as there are picnic tables available to eat outside. We will be back! Hint: Go on and request hard shell tacos and the habanero salsa.

Had the garlic shrimp with everything. Kids enjoyed their cheese quesadillas and bean/cheese burritos. Love that it is a quick walk to the beach after.

Excellent load nachos! The Mahi was perfectly seasoned. It's a take out place only as there isn't any seating. Staff was friendly. This is a cheap hole in the wall kinda place but so good!

Convenient decent Mexican food. Was walking distance from our place and reasonably priced. Nice and friendly service. Food was fine, nothing to write home about. But it was quick, easy, and fed our jet lagged stomachs. Definitely get the cilantro rice, it was magic!

Really loved the carne asada tacos. Craved it after the first time and had to go back again while in Kihei another day. Also tried the shrimp burrito and it was good. The staff were very kind. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our takeout order to be ready after placing it at the counter. There are some benches outside to eat at, but it was a toasty day so we opted for in the car haha

I'll still support the place, but to really love supporting them even more, I have some friendly recommendations. I love the char on the meat, the salsas are great and were given to me cold (great sign! As unbelievable as it may seem, this simple step is missed in a lot of places!), the beans and rice with the sasoun like abuela used to make- chef's kiss! and even better than Ono tacos in Kahului in my opinion, and their beans and rice are pretty fly). The pollo and asada, one day has more flavor than the next. Some days, no salt at all. So if you bring a guest, just pack some limes and salt just in case, so they'll believe you when you say this place is awesome. Problem solved. Additionally, the comment about the fatty inedible bits of steak- yes, I have experienced it also, that is an anomaly that the chef should be able to catch. That's not ok and will turn a lot of people off from the food, please quality control or let the butcher know so you guys are getting value. Sometimes I know those fatty cartridge chunks can contribute to flavor because of the oils, but that can be done in a separate process and removed before plating with that primo asada. First visit I loved the carne asada tacos. Quality is very hard to find here on Maui, and once you find it, consistency even harder, but I really like this place so I'm coming back and bringing more folks. The marinade and seasoning was on point that first time. The second time, the beans and rice had wayyy more flavor than the chicken and the steak, just being real. I look forward to trying more. I bring guests here and they say the same things. I'm a huge fan of Mexican food, and I know food can be hard work, just iron out your processes so they're firme every time, make sure everyone working follows the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and people will remember it for sure, the potential for even more greatness is definitely there, no one else is making tacos like this! just needs attention to detail. Also.. not to end on a bad note, but I've gotta say it- you -always- should provide or offer silverware to customers, and napkins. That's only proper form. The service and kindness of the young man taking orders is impeccable, he is kind and personable to people and you can tell he was raised with respect , has dignity and kindness for others. Well done! This is rare also and people notice. What a good bruddah! Thank you so much for your hard work and efforts. I live with constant pain. I don't always wanna cook, shop, marinate, and all the steps it takes to make an epic meal, unless I'm cooking for a lot of people I love. I can tell you're spreading the love with your food, I hope my honesty isn't harsh, I really want everyone to eat well and I want businesses to do amazingly. Gracias!

The flavors were ok, but everything leaned a bit too smoky for me which was a little unexpected and the cabbage overwhelmed the burrito more than it complimented them. Not sure if that's just the style of the food from the region, it just wasn't for me that night, but my other half seemed to enjoy it. That said, I still really appreciate what this spot is all about. Everything is made to order, from tacos and mulitas to quesadillas and their Sunday-only barbacoa (get there early if you want to try it--it's first come, first served!). What keeps me rooting for them is that they're a non-profit and proceeds go toward supporting the children and youth of local churches. So even if my meal wasn't as memorable this time, I'm still happy to support a business that's doing good in the community. Would I go back? Yeah, probably--especially on a Sunday to try the barbacoa. Just hoping for a little more balance the next time around.

The fish tacos were massive. The fish had good flavor, although it leaned a little on the dry side for me. The coconut shrimp, however, were my favorite thing we tried. Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We happened to arrive between their two happy hour windows, and while looking at the menu, we noticed that coconut shrimp were also available during the second happy hour along with other small plates. What I found odd was their happy hour policy. Apparently, you can only order from the happy hour menu if you've already purchased an entree and can show your receipt. I've never encountered that anywhere else, and it seemed like a strange business concept. Also, it is not posted anywhere that I saw. When my husband went back to order from the happy hour menu, the cashier asked if we had previously ordered food. He said yes, but our receipt was back at the table. For some reason, she had to go to the back to get approval before allowing him to order. It felt a bit awkward, especially since she was the same cashier who had taken our original order when we first arrived and we asked a bunch of questions, so I would def remember someone like me. lol That policy aside, the coconut shrimp were fantastic. I'd definitely come back for those alone.

The poke nachos were absolutely outstanding--the best poke nachos I've had on Maui. Fresh, flavorful, and a generous portion. Everything else was underwhelming. The fish tacos looked incredible and are what the restaurant is known for, but I found them bland and surprisingly mediocre. The ono salad was okay but nothing special. The service was average, and the host had a less-than-aloha attitude that didn't make for the warm welcome I expected. Considering the prices, I expected much more from both the food and overall experience. While the poke nachos alone are worth trying, I left feeling disappointed that the rest of the meal didn't match the reputation or cost. For me, it was a very expensive meal for food that was mostly less than ideal.

You know a place is legit when you gotta pay it in cash. The owners are always so friendly and the prices keep me coming back as well since everything on Maui, especially Mexican food can now be $17-20 for a plate sadly. I'm so glad they brought their Tamales back so I had to order that. I always order the Preparado because they add all the fixings, lettuce, tomato, lots of cilantro and onion and the crema. Their tacos are delicious as well and my go to is their Al Pastor & Carne Asada. Honestly a great taco to me can just have the simplicity of Cilantro and Onion. Not to mention adding their homemade salsas! I could taste the slight char of the tomatillos and peppers they use in the salsa which made every bite so scrumptious. The green salsa was mild and red was hot but for my taste, it was a perfect medium. Don't forget to wash it down with a Jarrito! They used to sell Mexican products but I can see they simplified to food and drink which in my opinion is top notch, food and cost wise. That's what always keeps me coming back!
