Prompt and attentive service, ambiance just okay although table arrangements were better than I expected. Food was very good!

No margaritas, huh? That's weird. (Damn Bible Belt!) My Huevas Mexicanas were prepared well, as were my carnitas. (I had a side of carnitas -- really hungry that day.) My husband really enjoyed his migas. (That boy ALWAYS wants migas!) The patrons at a nearby table ordered tamales (and said tamales looked and smelled wonderful!), but we stuck to our guns and ordered what we did. I looked for mole Poblano (a personal favorite!) on the menu, but didn't see it. We'd return, but the chances of our being in Franklin again are slim to none. read more

Pretty standard Mexican food joint. Open kitchen plain setting. The service was decent. Had 2 beef fajita tacos. Rice and beans ehh, 5/10. My son had. A burger, the bacon was not cooked. Decent burger but for 44$ it definitely wasn't worth it. read more

Never in a million years did I expect to find authentic Mexican food in the middle of nowhere. I've driven through Franklin a lot of times and never stopped to eat. Today happened to be my last resort and decided to stop at subway. However as I was pulling up I saw this restaurant so I decided to stop. It is super friendly, clean, DELICIOUS and great service. If you are driving by this is the best restaurant in a small town I've seen in years. It's more delicious than all the Mexican restaurants in Austin Texas. P.S. I am native Mexican and I've always had a hard time finding something that tastes close to home. This meets most of the check marks. I truly recommend. read more

After a great time at the Franklin Safari, we stopped here for lunch. It was a clean restaurant with a friendly waitress. Our food came out quickly and was above average for a Mexican restaurant. The salsa was great, the burrito was large and flavorful, and the carnitas had bold flavors with lots of cilantro and onions. We were very happy to have stopped here. read more

If I could give this place a zero, I would. One star for the food, not good. However, it did kinda resembled Tex-Mex. The issue here is the two servers on a Wednesday afternoon in a sleepy little central Texas town. They apparently don't realize the road they are located on has people driving by from all parts of Texas. This person not wholly (even a little) at all was put out from the cursing these two women were spewing. Frankly it was one more than the other. Don't get me wrong I've been known drop an f bomb here and there even use the c word on occasion. But this girl was jacked up on spider monkey juice. Every other word was f this and f that and that b and that is bs and he got out of prison and f that a and the b, it was making me light headed. Maybe I am sensitive right now because on this seldom occasion I was sitting trying to pray. Had been on the road for a couple of hours and needed a little R&R to get my mind straight and get back on the road. That little cursing machine wasn't having it. At this point I was the only one in there and she had that mouth running. Felt like it was 20 years ago and I was sitting in a bar, half lit, listening to a bar fly spew her mess everywhere and it didn't matter because John behind the bar was a friend of mine and he kept the booze coming. This was a very good restaurant. I had the Migas A La Mexicana. It was very good. I would eat here again.

Sour cream chicken enchiladas and Bistek Al Mexicana were delicious. Service stellar! We noticed drive through non stop, must be good!!

Not authentic... Chorizo plate is scrambled eggs & sausage , you have ask for hot sauce, service was bad. My husband asked for well cooked sausage & corn tortillas, I was surprised he didn't make do. Coffee is expensive....don't recommend. read more

Here is a restaurant I wished we had in Pflugerville. We stopped in because the BBQ place was shut down. We wanted BBQ and when you want BBQ well not much else will do. So when we hit this place I was like ok, this is going to be a slop joint. I was wrong! I order the little taco plate and it came with 4 little tacos that were so full that I had to half the contents just to add toppings to the tacos. And they were awesome. I can honestly recommend this plate. Get the nopales topping to put in your tacos. Every taco come with 2 corn tortillas. They are small but are filling. The Charro beans were freaking awesome. The only thing about this place that wasn't knock your socks off, in my opinion, was the rice. It a little dry, not enough tomato sauce, onions, and crushed tomatoes. If you are ever in Hearn, TX. Stop and grab a bite to eat. It isn't fancy inside, but the eats are first class. read more

Nice waitress. Ok I'm outta good things to say. Made the mistake of ordering huevos rancheros. You would think a Mexican food place with it on the menu would know what they are. Uh, no. Eggs had no sauce at all. When I mentioned it, they sent back out huevos mexicana, chunky tomatoes, onions and peppers, no tortillas. The chef insisted that was correct. We went here for lunch after church. After about 5-10 minutes, someone took our drink order but the drinks never came. No one came to take our order. Finally a lady stopped by and said she saw us come in and couldn't believe we haven't been helped yet. Her name is Amy and she's awesome. The other young girls were pretty much lost, sorry ladies. Our food took a while to come out but was decent and hot when it did come out. My fajitas were very thick, chewy and overcooked but everything else was good. There were a few other small things but Amy took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. I don't know if it was the Sunday rush that got the girls messed up or if they were new or what.
