DO NOT USE!!!The woman that answered the phone was the worst and hid behind her keyboard to send a rude text to me and refused to answer my calls when I tried calling her back. On 01-15-24 I needed a tow. AAA advised me that Amity would be coming. There was a misunderstanding between AAA and Amity, which was discovered after a male from Amity called me, so the service was cancelled. (I needed a tow not a jump.) I called AAA back to start another tow. While doing so the male from Amity called. I told him the request was cancelled and it was fine. He was nice. AAA texted me another tow was coming and called to tell me it was Amity again. I thought, perfect, use someone local and support small business. I called the male again just to make sure everyone was on the same page. He assured me that I would be taken care of and apologized for the delay. He went on to say there were three tows before me and that another employee called out today because, "They worked too hard the day before". This should have been the first red flag, talking bad about your employees. I commented, "He's the man", as in getting the job done. He replied that he didn't know about that because, "He doesn't wear the pants in the family. She's in the office". Ouch another red flag. I asked if I needed to call the office to make sure everything was confirmed. He told me no and assured me everything was good. AAA text advised the Amity tow would arrive by 2:05pm. After 3:00pm, I called the office and a woman answered the phone. I told her who I was and wanted to make sure they were still able to get my vehicle before closing. She told me they weren't coming. I was shocked! I questioned her. She told me it was cancelled this morning. I tried to tell her the tow was called again. She proceeded to tell me that she told AAA they couldn't do it because they were too busy. Frustrated and in a hurry I said goodbye and hung up. I immediately received a text from Amity saying, "If you were nicer, I could have tried to help you. Fix your attitude". I tried calling back three times, but she blocked my call. I tried calling the male and he wouldn't answer. I returned a text, "Real nice. Whoever took my call, said you were coming. Shame on you". I will never use your business and I'll be sure to tell everyone I know how horrible you are, including AAA. read more

May 2024 - Memorial Day afternoon traveling from ID to OR, we broke down in Ritzville WA. AAA sent Amity Towing to help us out, arriving soon after the ETA. They towed us and our pickup to their shop in Cheney, gave us a ride to the hotel, and promised to have our repair completed first thing on Tuesday. They replaced the alternator at the expected cost, picked us up at the hotel, and we were on the road again before noon. We were very impressed with their customer service, feeling they went above and beyond to help us get home. read more

May 2024 - I had them replace the flywheel in my 2013 VW Passat. They originally received the wrong wheel, and we had a lot of trouble finding the right part, so it took up their lift for two weeks without complaint. They also paid for the alignment the car needed after the repair because it wasn't originally quoted. These people are more than a business. They are partners. They will treat you well. February 2023 - I called about ignition coils for a 2009 Buick Enclave on Thursday, and they squeezed me in on Friday. Great service and they kept to their estimate. Great communications also. We had a new alternator put into our truck last week and this morning on our trip out of state we got a little past Ritzville and the truck wasn't running correctly and we suspected the alternator... again.. the team at Amity was great! Another five star review! These are real btw. My pickup broke down Sunday morning. Boo. Amity answered the phone, got my location and arranged a tow to their shop in Cheney. The tenor and helpfulness of the Amity people made a crummy situation very easy. The next day (Monday) I drove to Amity to take all my camping stuff out of the pickup. I expected it would take a week to diagnose and repair the pickup but NO, I arrived on Monday and Amity had already diagnosed and repaired my pickup. These people are actually frightening. They have a tow company and a repair shop. If you call them for a tow, they try and take your car to their repair shop. If you want to go to a different shop, they do everything they can to talk you into their shop instead. Maybe that's not too bad. Not until they start making things up about the shop you want to go to. They actually called my shop of choice, asked questions about pricing, and repeated back different numbers all for my benefit. The shop has security cameras with audio and video showing the prices they quoted were different than what these people repeated. Then they started saying how every time they take a car to the shop I chose, they have to go back and get it and eventually take to their shop anyway. Strongarm tactics and outright lies. I asked to go to a shop Ive been using for years. I know the owner and the mechanics. They all tell me theyve never met this tow company, let alone had any issues with them having to tow cars back out. It took over an hour to convince the driver to take my car where I wanted it to go. After they drove away, they started calling the shop they were going to and just being rude and antagonistic. Then they called me back and tried one more time to get me to take my car to them instead. They're snarky and rude. Very unprofessional and a little frightening in fact. Most of the positive reviews on Google don't seem too legit but the negative ones describe my experience pretty accurately. They had to tow my car 22 miles. From the time they left me to when they arrived to deliver the car was almost two hours. I don't know where they went with my car but I'm glad it finally got to the shop of my choice and I won't call them for a tow again. read more

After nearly losing a tire on the I-90 in the middle of a snowstorm, we pulled over onto an exit ramp and called AAA to get towed. AAA couldn't do it due to volume (lots of vehicles needing a tow in the middle of a snowstorm) so they gave us the phone number to nearby Amity Towing and Auto Repair. Luckily, Amity Towing was able to safely tow us (all wearing masks) and our vehicle to the Cheney Les Schwab.
