I have to personally thank the gunsmith Adam at Ammo Bros.-Ontario. I have brought in multiple firearms for him to work on. My last project I built my first complete AR lower from a stripped OLL. When I finished the work on my own I took it to Adam and he was kind enough to look it over, function check it, and even kindly pointed out the one wrong thing I did and corrected it. Great place! I am LEO and went in today and bought some glock mags. This was my first time coming to this store. The staff were very friendly both on the civilian side and LE side. Their prices where very good, picked up 3 15 rd block mags for $25 each. What a steal! I will come back for any of my needs in the future. Samantha and Kyle are amazing! As a first time buyer and completely unaware about guns, they were both so unbelievably helpful. There were a few other people in the store, and they still managed to take care of everyone so no one was left waiting. They are hilarious and made the whole process so entertaining, I never would have imagined having fun while purchasing a gun. Samantha helped me make a decision between three different Glocks, and knew exactly what I needed. She was incredibly patient while demonstrating how to properly disassemble the pistol and remove the magazine. Kyle made all the paperwork simple and quick, making sure I knew exactly what to bring upon pickup. Even the pickup process was quick and painless. Matt, I believe, was very efficient and it took less than twenty minutes to finish the paperwork and pick up the gun. I went to the Ontario store 3 times. 1st time, the guy that helped me was a total dick didn't say one word to me just pointed and nodded yes or no. 2nd time, I was looking for a shotgun and asked for the Mossberg flex they did have it and the guy that helped me was so rude I just walked out. 3rd time took my wife and son to get a gun for my son the store had only one customer we waited at the counter for 32 minutes and not one person came to help us, I even took a number, so we just walked out, as we were leaving the guy at the cashier said I thought you were being helped. Went to Turners got a shotgun for my son, a 308 for my wife, and a shotgun for myself. Lost my business forever. read more

Purchased a M&P Shield on layaway... Transaction was smooth, and they didn't try to sell me anything extra or waste my time. Although they were about $30 higher than Turners for the same gun, I will gladly pay more just knowing I don't have to deal with the sleepy staff, that really doesn't seem to care if you buy a firearm or not.. Update: I've been to this place a bunch more times since my last review and have come to the conclusion that not everyone that works here is a dick. Some of these guys are really cool and helpful. I've gone in there just to ask questions a couple of times and some of the guys did their best to help me and patiently walk me through certain processes, like putting something together or such. I really appreciate that and thought I should yelp it. I've learned over time that finding a little bit of douchebaggery in almost every gun shop is an inevitable fact of life. The reason I kept the 4/5 stars is because their ammo selection is pretty weak compared to their store in Cerritos, which is stocked up every time I've been there. read more

This place has great stock and great prices, just horrible customer service. I walked in to purchase Ammo (there were only two other customers) and despite asking to be helped I still was not helped for about 20 minutes, and then it took another 20 minutes to get someone at the register to pay. There were 4-5 workers behind the counter talking and texting the whole time. Like I said great deals and great products, but I try to shop at other gun stores unless I absolutely have to go here.. Ammo Bros in Ontario is awesome. NOT your average gun counter and gun store! The people that work here are actually nice and friendly, willing to help you and NOT RUDE at all. Seems like every other gun store has a bunch of rude, condescending, arrogant employees (particularly at the gun counter). Not this store. Grant and Kyle were super helpful and friendly. The prices on bulk ammo are very good. Even the smaller boxes of ammo can be found at really great prices. The store is well organized and the product selection is outstanding. This is the only gun store I will ever shop at. Drive right past Bass Pro Shops and Turners Outdoorsman and go to Ammo Bros! read more

Walked in with the wife to look at some rifles, and to get a price on a shotgun. The service was horrid. The kid that was getting the price for my shotgun never returned with the price. I was surprised since there were only three customers in the store, and plenty of personnel standing around. I also noticed that the personnel were also immature and rude. After 40 minutes of waiting we walked out. I would not recommend this place. I never give my opinion on the computer, but I feel compelled in this case. I decided to go to Turner's located in Ontario. The service there was incredible. I would strongly recommend them for your future purchases. read more

I went to Ammo Bros today to purchase an EOTech and some handguards. I was greeted by a girl sitting behind the cash register, she buzzed me in, and all the associates appeared to be with people. No big deal. So browse a bit, look at some holsters and some reloading supplies for about 5-10 minutes. I then walked over to the display with the handguards and sights and was waiting to be helped. Well, I waited there for half an hour without being approached and asked if I needed anything once. The associates there would actually look at me, not say a word, then move on to helping someone else. The only people they were actually interested in were people who were looking at actual firearms. I came in knowing what I wanted and ready to buy, the time required for my sale would have been very short. In the end, I got frustrated, asked if the girl behind the counter could help me. She said sure. So I asked if they had any other EOTechs in stock, she said no unfortunately. However, there was a Yankee Hill handguard I still wanted to purchase. I asked her if she would know what type of mounting hardware it requires (found out online that this particular one uses the stock barrel nut, which isn't common for Yankee Hills) and she said she had no idea, and that the gun smith would have to answer my question. She excused herself, came back, and told me that the gun smith would be off lunch in another 15 mintues and that if I wanted, I could grab a number and wait for help. This was even more irritating, not because the smith was on lunch, but because the people that were being helped at the firearms counter came into the store AFTER I did. These people were getting help right away, while I was standing there waiting for help. I decided screw it and just left. As I was leaving, the girl behind the register looked apologetic, but in the end, she couldn't help me and nobody else seemed interested in providing me with any sort of decent customer service. I will no longer patronize their business and I will recommend to all my friends and family that shoot, to not give them any of their business. I've had better customer service at Walmart. read more

Ammo Bros is the place to be. They have a great selections of fire arms that most gun stores do not have, kind of like a kid in a candy store if you know what I mean. The only thing that always gets me going is seeing that old sales man that is grumpy, unapproachable, and mad at everyone who walks in the door and think he knows more about everything then everyone.. Luckily the majority of the staff are very helpful and welcoming to any questions that are asked. You should be grateful there are more staff than you.Yes it's you Ed, lighten up or get out of the business. Next time if I walk in and see you as the only one behind the counter I will just leave and come back another day to spend my hard earned AMERICAN money. Decent in-store service, but their phone support is terrible, usually goes to voice-mail and they don't call back customers. Another peeve is that they frequently don't receive advertised sale items until after the sale is over. ("We'll get it in from the Warehouse tomorrow", but the item frequently doesn't make it to the store until the sale is over. Hummmmm!) Again, the staff is nice & helpful if possible in-store, But if you want a stock check to buy a gun or ammo before you drive down there, its a "crap shoot" that they will answer the phone or have the advertised sale item in stock. read more

My brother and I had a couple guns transfered at this ammo bros and it could not have been better! While we were waiting for the other party to get there we were asked if we needed any help but I said I was okay. After the full company got there and we asked about starting the transfer process and obviously that could have been done when I was asked but I didn't know. Rather than being annoyed at my annoying blunder Cody, Patric, Seth, and Samantha laughed it off and continued to help us in every step of the way. They not only kept the process going but they managed to help us look around a bit too. To top it all off they all stayed after closing time to get everything done. Favorite gunstore by far. I've been to many gunstores. Including small mom and pop ones, and have never been treated nicer than here at Ammo Brothers. Being a younger shopper, I'd get glares and talked down to by older gentlemen at OTHER gunstores. But not at Ammo Brothers. One employee stood out the most (regrettably I forgot to ask his name) but he is a slim fellow, wears glases and, has a full beard (some people might know who I'm talking about). He was very helpful and friendly, showed me all the parts to an M&P Sport II, he was very patient with me. (being that I am new to AR-15's). I've purchased 2 firearms from ammo brothers, and shall keep coming back. This is the first bad review I have ever left, but my experience was just too hard to believe!!! A few of the fellas here are great, but one guy was absolutely rude, had too much machismo running through his veins, and thought he was too badass to truly take care of me and my friends as customers. He is a short stocky latino guy. (I have nothing against latinos at all). We were ready to buy a few firearms, but this guy confused us even more, and just trash talked every gun we were interested in. Kept on mentioning how badass he was, how he just came back from deployment(to intimidate us), and how the guns we were attempting to feel, hold, and possibly purchase were garbage, and only gay and lame people buy those guns. That is no way to represent a gun shop. This Ammo Bros is gonna really lose sales cause of this kid. Not professional at all, and very juvenile attitude, he needs to grow up. I took my business to Turner's, where you are treated like family, and the salespeople can actually aid you in your decision making in purchasing the correct firearm for you, instead of leaving you with more questions than answers, and be irritated when you leave. Today I went to Ammo Brothers to purchase a box of ammo and a bottle of bore cleaner. I stood at the front of the line for about five minutes before any employees even acknowledged me. I waited at the front of the line for about 15 minutes before someone walked out of the back and asked if I had a purchase. I said yes and he said they would be with me in a few minutes. I put my items down on the counter and told him I couldn't wait any longer and left. I went to bass pro and bought my items there and they were happy to take my money. I cant believe that this place had 6 employees running around and no one could ring up my items. I have been to a lot of gun stores and this was the worst service I have ever received. read more

I went in there looking for an old russian gun for my boyfriend for christmas. We had called the plavce earlier and they said they had it in the store. I went in with my brother and they said yeah we have it but if i bought it it would have to be my gun since that's the law. You can go to jail buying a gun and giving it to someone else which i understand. So I came back with my boyfriend a little more than an hour or two and we come in and they completely ignore us until there's pretty much no one else. now just to let you know im as white as they come but my boyfriend is as mexican as they come. The same guy that was all sweet to me and talk to me the first time ignored me at first then after starring at him for a couoke minutes was like oh i talked to you earlier. He then walked around the store both back and front then told me that the gun was gone. THAT some how they had sold the gun during his break and it now had a sold sign on it and that he was sorry. The funny part is that none of the other guys in that place knew that the gun was even there nor what kind of gun it was. I'm sorry to say this but you could tell this place is racist. You could just feel the tension and how awkward it was. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they are white and i mean that. read more

I saw some negative reviews and didn't want to go here, but they had exactly the gun my dear husband was longing for, so I bit the bullet (HA!) and went. I got wonderful service! It's true I had to wait a bit, but it wasn't because people were taking a break, smokin' and jokin' in the back room. It was because they were lavishing assistance on other customers. When it was my turn I got that same high level of service, all questions and concerns addressed. As always when buying a gun, I remembered that one can't do it in a hurry. Welcome to California, where it's easier to build a car than it is to buy a gun. TONS of paperwork, but it isn't the gun seller's fault. Having purchased previously, I knew this, but others in the store didn't, and they were annoyed. Again, not the gun seller's fault. Don't like it? Move to Montana. When I went back after the ten day cooling off period, I experienced the same high level of service. Really, everyone from the young lady who greeted me when I walked in the door to the very competent gun guy behind the counter who helped me fondle my husband's new CZ to the several people who helped me when I picked up the gun, were great help. Competent, friendly, businesslike. This is a long and effusive review I know, but I'm hoping to counter some of the bad reviews I saw. A good business deserves a good review. It doesn't deserve to be trashed because someone got turned down after a background check. read more

With 4 immature kids behind the counter laughing and having a blast while customers waited and walked out, I don't think I will be coming back here.
