Went here for the first time because it's so close. Sorry I went here instead of Bullseye Sport a few miles away. Very dark inside. Hard to fill out the DROP and transfer paperwork it's so dark. Waited 30 minutes then got the paperwork to fill out. Then it happened. The guy with short hair and tattoos went off and completely forgot about me. I waited another 30 minutes and he never came back so I had to ask for help to take my paperwork. Did I forget to mention the cost?! $25 DROS+ $75 transfer fee! Do your shopping at Bullseye Sport on Brockton/Arington and save some money. You won't get forgotten and the customer service is 200% better. Go there and you'll see how nice and bright it is inside. Went there to pick up a gun Signed in and before they got to my name after I have already been waiting a half hour, some kid and his dad come in to window shop and not buy anything and the girl behind the counter ignores I'm next and shows them 10 different guns !! I'm here waiting MY TURN to pick up MY GUN and it seemed like anyone checking guns out without buying took priority than actual customers. They are incredibly rude there They never know what they are talking about and when you show them the DOJ website and tell them they are wrong about certain things they just shrug their shoulders and say "idk what you want me to tell you!" Do not come here to buy anything! I understand that this covid19 affected every stores, fast food chains and restaurants. I came here in Riverside Ammo bros to get an optic that is really hard to find anywhere even online. A guy name Rick told me that 16 people were ahead of me and would take about 4 hours wait. So I ask if they at least have the optic that I'm looking for. Rick w/o hesitation checked their inventory and sure enough one left in stock. He then gave me the benefit of the doubt to come in and just do the purchase w/o waiting since I know what I want and I'm not buying ammo or gun. He's very professional and polite. Really, it's the people you interact with like Rick that makes a difference in your buying experience and gun stores need more like him.. Now that's customer service! Great customer service. Had the idea that I needed a AK in my life. Very fortunate I went into the store and met Jim he answered all my questions and gave me the info I needed to actually really know the product I was looking at. Many models have subtle differences and he either knew or found out for me what I needed to know. Travis also answered my questions and was able to secure me the firearm from another stores inventory I am not an easy sale, I'm picky, I am needy and the whole staff Travis, Danny, Jim and the young gentleman they call "grandpa" were attentive not only to me but to every customer that walked in there. Unfortunately in most hobby specific stores there is always the salesman who feels that he needs to beat customers down for not knowing what they know. It appears you don't have one of those employees and I thank you for that. I feel I got a fair price on a firearm that is very hard to find in the exact model I was after. You all treated me like I am sure you would want to be treated and that is truly what keeps a business thriving and doors swinging. I've had positive experiences at the Ammo Bros in Ontario, and then I heard Ammo Bros opened a store in Riverside. Yep, its true....wall-to-wall merchandise and guns galore. Its funny how a reputable brand doesn't need a glorified "Grand Opening" to launch its business, "If you build it, they will come!" Was helped by salespersons Danny and Travis. Knowledgeable and definitely let me know they appreciated my business. Picked up a S&W M&P Shield 9mm and couldn't be happier with buying experience. I'll definitely be back. read more

Went in here Saturday to check it out for the first time since opening. Wasn't expecting much other than some commercial space selling ammo, on racks at cheap prices. Was I wrong. The whole wall on the right side thats the length of the store displayed firearms - handguns (new and some used) in a case, and long guns on the wall. Good selection of AR-15's, some bolt action, 22's, a few shotguns (mostly tactical/defense). On the handgun side there were Glocks, Springfields, Kahr, some Berretta 92's, and a few others mixed in, and a couple of revolvers. They carry a good amount of ammo, the second best selection I've seen (OC Gun Show is first/best). I had been looking for Federal HST's and finally found some. They have shotgun shells too from 00 12ga to 8shot 28 and .410. Best prices on 9mm were some Blazer and bulk reloads. Staff checked in on my a few times to make sure I was doing okay, not pushy, but there when you needed them. Very clean (it's new duh), and well organized. Good selection of gear and parts/accessories. read more

Terrible customer service! It took over a month for them to contact my seller for an FFL transaction, and I had to go in person twice to remind them, plus countless emails from myself and the other party. Plus, one is former army and saw fit to disparage my Marine Corps service. Pffft! Bad sales technique. Don't get me wrong, they range from nice and friendly to the jackalope above, just they didn't do their job or respond to any contact. Went in for a PPT at 5:30pm and there was only one guy taking the safety test. No other customers. There were two staff, a male and a female. They appeared as though they didn't want to be bothered with checking in a gun that was shipped to their store that was delivered 5 hours earlier. The guy, who apparently was some kind of manager, barely looked away from his computer to answer a question on how long it would take to check in. Me and my lady just bought a c39v2 AK47 here the other day. I came in for the first time the night before to mosey around and get some 9mm ammo for our XD9. If you dont like big crowds at gun shops like me, come here at night during the last 2 hours before closing, it's empty. This store is very well stocked on everything gun related (compared to surrounding gun shops in riverside). And their selection of firearms is a beast. They have everything you need from .22 pee shooters to the badassery that is known as the Barrett. The guy i talked to was named Tony. Nice dude that knew his stuff. I explained to him that me and my gf were looking to get a rifle since we already had a 12 gauge and a pistol, and he showed me an armalite Ar15 and the C39. I decided to go with the C39, but i am going to definitely come back for the AR next. If you're a gun nut like me, be prepared to spend a lot of money here. And buy your rifles while you can before they ban even the bullet button equipped ones. The Libtards are coming. read more

Went in to check out the guns this week. I was told I would have to get on the wait list to handle the gun I was interested in in case I was going to buy it. I was told it would be an hour wait..No problem. We grabbed a bite to eat. After 1 & 1/2 hours, I was called in. When I explained which gun I wanted to see, I was told I could not touch the gun at all, just listen to the guy telling me about it. How do you buy a gun without holding it to feel the weight in your hand? I have a revolver so I was looking into getting a semi-automatic pistol. It didn't make sense. This place use to be the go to place. Don't waist your time. The "new" management that has cycled threw here over the last year + is horrible. Workers are all rude. They now only allow two people in their building at a time. I'm not allowed to enter with my husband to pick up ammo and other necessities. You will have to wait an hour + to get in. We arrived and hour before they opened and still had to wait 60 min being third in line. Go to Bullseye, Warrior One, Turners literally go any where else, they will all greet you with a "Hello" and a smile. Wish there was a way to give it a zero star. read more

I've read quite a few negative reviews about this location and was honestly hesitant to walk in... but the staff was amazing. I was helped by 3 different men, and all three were very courteous, answered all of my questions, and what I especially appreciated was that they didn't treat me like a female in a men's store. All too often women are taken advantage of and persuaded to buy things that are not necessary, because some of us don't know any better. It was truly refreshing to be assisted and given truthful answers, redirected from unnecessary purchases, and even with my newbie questions, all of the sales staff were very patient with me. Decent place with a good selection, but damn does it take a miracle for someone to help you even when you approach the counter and ask for someone. The prices are pretty dang high for both firearms and ammunition. 100 rounds of American Eagle 9mm run for about $46 out the door whereas other smaller stores sell them for a lot cheaper. I also went in to buy an XD Subcompact. Found one on their shelves with night sights, but it was being sold for more than $650. I tried to make a deal asking if they would be willing to give me a discount and offered to cash (to avoid having the owner pay card services overhead costs), but the price was firm. I decided to take my business elsewhere and bought an XD with no night sights for more than $220 less and was able to have night sights installed and bought holsters and magazines with about $50 to spare. I still come to this store every once in a while hoping they would have some cool deals and with cash on hand ready to buy something, but end up leaving empty handed. I recommend coming here if you're looking for something that is hard to find, but don't get your hopes up about getting a good deal unless you're buddy-buddy with the staff or a sworn officer. read more

Nice selection of firearms from small like Derringer to the big boys .416 Barrett. I was actually surprised of the selection of accessories and magazines they had available. 11 days ago I walked in 30 min before closing and they still took care of me. I purchased a Ruger 10/22 and a SP-01, took about 40 minutes from start to finish. Delivery yesterday was just about the same except with more laughs. So I buy a 44 magnum smith & Wesson model 629-7. I paid 400$ over value. Same gun at center fire 900$ they charged 1300$ they provided a zip up case that malfunctioned and the gun fell out of the case because the zipper failed. From about 1 foot in height. I take it back and I'm told they will not take the gun back or return to the manufacturer or give me my money back that's up to me to send it to S&W. ok wow. How about honoring the product your selling. First they should of not provided a cheap zipper case when they overcharged by 400$. Second the gun should be a bit more durable than that. And last honor the products you sell. That's just good business. read more

Came here today with one of my co workers (who was a male) was greeted by the manager and help out by the store associate Terry. He was very knowledgable and taught me a lot about gun safety, how to properly hold a gun as well as figuring out what eye dominant I was. He showed me proper gun stance and showed me a wide variety of compact guns as well as a few revolvers. He explained bullet sizes to me so I can get an idea of how big certain bullets were and I left there feeling very informed. Their guns are priced very reasonable as well. I didn't purchase a gun today but I purchased some gel pepper spray and the manager rung me up. He didn't come off as friendly or talkative as the store associate that was helping me but I did introduce myself and received a smile from him. Will definitely be back and ask for Terry since he explained things so well, was very kind and didn't make me feel bad for knowing absolutely nothing about guns since it was my first time handling a gun. read more

Upfront: I only Ever use Yelp to write positive reviews for local small businesses, as I'm aware of the potential ramifications of a negative review on the local places, but I'm willing to make an exception for this place. I've spent more money at local gun shops and sporting goods stores than I frankly care to recount, and have given this place a shot at my business multiple times now--only to walk away frustrated with the help's ambivalence to customer service and, more bluntly, terrible dispositions. Today was the final straw. To begin, if you're expecting to find quick help with handling a firearm, glass, or a solution to any questions you may have regarding the products they stock, go ANYWHERE else. This place is almost comically understaffed, and absurdly long wait times should be expected. In my experience, with the four-plus times giving this place a try, once you are finally helped, you'll be disappointed by a ambivalent associate who'd rather be doing anything other than their jobs. The second time I went in, it was to view a Leopoldo delta point for my s&w 625. After waiting for 45 minutes just to view the glass, I said that I would take it, but inquired as to whether or not they stocked the Leopold 1913 rail, to use it while waiting for a more permanent rail to arrive via mail. The gentlemen in the store rudely insisted that I didn't know what I was talking about, and that what I wanted was a two-piece picatiny FOR A REMINGTON 700-a product that is, in no way, shape, or form, even loosely associated with mounting a Leopoldo delta point, nevertheless mounting it to a revolver, which was quite clearly articulated. No, this is not a joke. The help in this joint always seems to know what the customer wants better than the actual customer. This is particularly true of big guy with the mustache--who's not only a condescending a-hole, but a bigoted one at that. I've owned every pistol I can think of and decided that I'd ask this gentleman to show me a Desert Eagle (a pure novelty toy to me) and asked him how the trigger is, to which he responded: "I have no idea, the thing is made for f-ing gang bangers in South Central to kill themselves with." I'm not big on defamation, but if I knew the mustached fat asses name, I'd gladly insert it here. Following this encounter, I decided I'd never go back, and have tried my hardest to stick to that plan. The plan changed when a dear friend arrived to my home today wanting to go buy a smith and Wesson 329, and found out that they had one in stock. I attended, hoping that this trip would be better than the last ones. NOPE! We were one of two groups of customers in the store--this making us next in line. At no point did we leave the gun counter as we waited, hovering over the revolver case. We were clearly next in line and the help knew it. Much to my chagrin, the mustached gentleman walked by, and said that he'd be right with us. Not ten minutes later did another gentleman walk in and get immediate help--followed by two other couples! Never again. I can find better, more knowledgable, and certainly more polite help at Turners. I hope Turners Outdoorsman's next location is in the golf store next door. read more

I had a dream that I should own a CZ 75 tactics cal sport and I had remembered seeing one at the Orange County location at its Grand Opening. Called up and spoke with Ana who informed me that they didn't have it in stock but they would be able to get one for me. She called me back in 20 minutes and had checked with both her distributor and CZ! She told me if I'd like to order one they can have one for me. Since I live closer to the Riverside location I went there and left my deposit with Travis, who was awesome. Once the gun came in I had a quick and easy transfer process with Jim and stayed for awhile talking with Jim and Dan who were also super cool, and very helpful. All in all I have to say everybody went above and beyond to make this transaction as smooth as possible. Had to give an extra special shout out to Ana who definitely went above what a normal retailer worker does! That girl made sure I was gonna get the gun of my dreams! Every time I have visited this shop there are many employees to help me. They are everywhere! Behind the counter, on the floor (which is very large with a huge selection of bags, targets, ammo etc) and at the register. All super friendly, good sense of humor and super helpful.
