The Minestrone was nice and comforting and I enjoyed the crisp garlic bread. I thought the lasagna, ravioli and spaghetti were tasty as well. Unfortunately, that evening I started feeling very ill. I could barely keep any food down and became quite weak. Based of my symptoms, I had food poisoning. The only food I had eaten that day was from Lomeli's. I normally hate giving a restaurant one star, especially when I initially enjoyed the food. The Caesar had a touch of spiciness and was dressed with toasted bread crumbs, a nice touch. I had the bolognese. It was tender and meaty and the pasta had the right amount of bite. The scallops were seared perfectly with great texture. The Braised Short Rib Lumache was also delicious, although the beef was a little richer than I personally prefer.
