Fast forward and I came here for lunch with my mom. We ordered the Minestrone Soup and Combo 1 which comes with Beef Lasagna, Beef Ravioli and Spaghetti with Meatball. The Minestrone was nice and comforting and I enjoyed the crisp garlic bread. I thought the lasagna, ravioli and spaghetti were tasty as well. Unfortunately, that evening I started feeling very ill. I could barely keep any food down and became quite weak. Based of my symptoms, I had food poisoning. The only food I had eaten that day was from Lomeli's. I normally hate giving a restaurant one star, especially when I initially enjoyed the food. However, becoming so sick afterward significantly affected my overall experience, and ultimately influenced my rating.

It's an unassuming spot in a corner of a strip center that you could easily miss. It's the cutest space with indoor and patio seating as well as a few bar spots, good for solo dining. We started with the meatballs and Caesar salad. The meatballs had a crisp sear outside that gave way to a soft inside. So good with the tomato sauce and arugula. The Caesar had a touch of spiciness and was dressed with toasted bread crumbs, a nice touch. I had the bolognese. It was tender and meaty and the pasta had the right amount of bite. This was even great leftover the next day. The Meyer lemon pie was the perfect closer. DineLA was the right call to bring me in to to try this gem of a spot.

When my wife and I go, she always gets the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka (the sauce has the perfect kick and rich texture). As for me, my ultimate strategy is skipping a standard entree and doubling up on appetizers: the Meatballs and the White Truffle Garlic Bread. The bread alone is phenomenal, and the meatballs are tender and packed with flavor. The only major downside to treating apps as my main meal? I begrudgingly have to share with the table! ;) Because the menu is so good across the board, coming here with a larger group is really the best move. It gives everyone an excuse to order family-style and try even more items--our group go-tos include the Calamari Fritti, Crispy Eggplant Parmesan, and one of their hand-crafted pizzas. Plus, since it's cheat day, pairing the meal with one of their crisp, local IPAs from the draft list is an absolute must. Once the waistband is thoroughly loosened, we finish off the night with dessert. We usually just let the table go with whatever seasonal special they're running, and it never disappoints. Great atmosphere at The Point, friendly service, and unbeatable comfort food. Highly recommend!

I started with the s'more please cocktail, which reminded me of an old fashion with toasted marshmallows. I'm already a fan of old fashion, so I enjoyed the drink itself. Honestly, I don't think the marshmallows added much, but I definitely enjoyed eating them. We shared about 5-6 dishes. The White Truffle Garlic Bread was amazing--super soft, flavorful, and not overpowering. The Yellowtail Crudo was one of my favorites. The fish had great texture and quality, and all the salty, citrusy, creamy elements worked really well together. For the mains, the Seared Scallops with sweet corn risotto were a standout. The scallops were seared perfectly with great texture. The Braised Short Rib Lumache was also delicious, although the beef was a little richer than I personally prefer. We also had the Roasted Salmon with fregola and broccolini, which was cooked well and nicely balanced. Our server was amazing--attentive, helpful, and provided great service throughout the night. Overall, it was a great celebration dinner and an excellent first experience at North Italia. I'd definitely come back.

Started by getting a recommendation from our very helpful & polite server (he was working solo) about their long list of available sauces. We started with the Garlic Butter. (He also was very big on their Pink sauce) Paired it with Fettuccini noodles and perfectly sautéed shrimp. Over or Undercooked shrimp is gross. Ours was perfect. . Another winner (and great leftovers). When we got the bill I noticed the soup was billed for $7.50 vs $6. I asked the waiter about the discrepancy and he said something about a bowl vs a cup that usually comes with the special. I was a little confused as none of that was mentioned when ordering but I accepted it . Without me asking he brought back a new charge slip with the $6. Very nice of him By the time we left two more parties of two arrived. Both with an adult and child. The décor has a warm, rustic charm that immediately made us feel comfortable. The staff was outstanding from start to finish. Courteous, friendly, and very attentive without being overbearing. For our appetizer, we ordered the Burrata & Fig (I forgot to take a picture!). It was the perfect size for two people to share and was beautifully presented on a wooden board with fresh bread, arugula, creamy burrata, and a delicious fig spread. Every bite was fantastic. For our entrées, I ordered the pepperoni pizza and added extra pepperoni and extra cheese since I'm a huge fan of both. My husband had the Al Pesto with chicken. Both dishes were exceptional and packed with flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and everything tasted fresh. The portions were very generous, we couldn't finish our meals and happily took the leftovers home. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying dessert! I ordered the Chocolate Grande Cake, and my husband got the Chocolate Carrot Cake. Even though we were stuffed, we took them to go, and I'm so glad we did. They were incredibly rich, moist, and delicious. We were definitely in chocolate heaven! Our bill came to about $120 before tip, which included the appetizer, two entrées, and two desserts. I originally planned to order one of the salmon bowls, but a friend pointed out that all the chicken is certified halal. That changed my mind, and I ordered the Grilled Chicken on Fire (Cajun) instead. This is a big plus for the Muslim community in the area. It's not always easy to find restaurants with certified halal options, so I really appreciate that Bossa Nova offers them. I have already recommended this place to several friends, and they will definitely check it out. For my sides, I chose the roasted vegetables, sweet potato fries, and plantains. Everything was delicious. The Cajun seasoned chicken was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The plantains were fried perfectly, with just the right amount of sweetness, and the roasted vegetables complemented everything nicely. I also ordered a Guaraná Zero, which added a nice touch to the meal and is something you don't find at many places. I really enjoyed the atmosphere too. They had the FIFA World Cup playing on the TVs, so it was fun to watch the matches while having dinner with friends. Overall, this was a fantastic experience.
