I always pass by Gigi's and have been wanting to try it. Today was the day. We placed an online order to go on their site for a large cheese pizza and side salad at around 4:15pm. The site said the order would be ready at 4:45. We arrived there a little early but it was done right at 4:45 as indicated. The lady who helped us was very attentive and friendly. There's a lot of seating outdoors and ample parking. The pizza smelled amazing! We We were both excited to eat it. I had my side salad first. They are very generous with the mozzarella cheese on top of salad. The ranch dressing wasn't my favorite but still decent. The pizza was very saucy. It was good but I would've preferred more cheese vs sauce. Overall, I think I still prefer Lomeli's for pizza. read more

Overall, I had a great experience. The wait was a bit longer than expected at about 26 minutes, but it was worth it. The pizza was still piping hot when I got home, which is always a big plus. The sauce was pretty standard--nothing particularly standout--but the toppings were excellent. It was colorful, fresh-looking, and exactly what I'd hope for from a supreme pizza. The crust was really good too, with just a slight flop, which is understandable given how loaded it was. Definitely a solid pizza overall. I recently visited Gigi's Pizza (Formerly Benello's) on Crenshaw Blvd across from El Camino College. Although I grew up in the area, I rarely stopped in there. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza. It had good meats...adequate amount of cheese and sauce and although we ordered to go the Pizza was plenty hot when we arrived back at my shop to eat! The Sicilian Thick Crust pizza here is amazing. I ordered it with sausage. My family thought it tasted great too. The crust had a nice favor and crunch to it sauce and cheese tasted great too. They let me down again. I called in an order for 1large eggplant sandwich, 1 large Italian Hero, 1slice of mushroom pizza, and 1 antipasto salad. My wife went to pick it up and asked me why it was so expensive. They told her I had ordered extra meat when I never did. I called to ask what the deal was and they did apologized and said they would refund the $4 charge for the extra meat but it's just annoying having to do this in the first place. I have been a loyal customer for over 50 years. I LOVED THIS PLACE!! It used to be Bonello's Pizza, and the original owner Ben, was very nice to all his loyal customers, and APPRECIATIVE of every last one. Now, the new owner, who changed the name to GIGI'S couldn't care less. I recently started going there for a large salad, 3-4 times a week. This continued for approximately 3 - 4 months. One night I picked up my salad. The lettuce was limp and yellow. Very unusual , so I called to complain and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I threw the salad away. I tied 3 more nights in a row, and the worker told me, "look, there is nothing I can do about it. The lettuce was limp, yellow, and brown slimy. I brought it back the next day, and the guy said "look, that's the way it comes from the provider,,and if you don't like it, just DONT COME BACK!! WOW!!, I couldn't believe my ears!! What a way to treat a customer of 50 years. I am heartbroken cause I will NEVER GO BACK!! Oh, plus the size of their little salad bowl for the pizza and salad special is one half the size it used to be, and they charge $4.-for a TINY SIDE SALAD!! I sure wish Ben was here!! read more

Gigi's is a cool old school pizza stand where you can get a whole pizza or pizza by the slice. 1950's rock n roll playing in the outdoor patio adds to the old LA drive in vibe. You really can't beat the daily specials. You can get a big NY style slice, a salad, and a small soda for $6.99. The pizza has that good crust that you can fold over and has a nice chewy crunch to it. It's exactly what you want in a slice. The salad is a basic green salad but with a big pile of mozzarella strips on top with a red wine vinaigrette. The buffalo wings are some of the biggest I've ever seen. They were a solid buffalo wing. Not overly sauced, served with ranch. The service is really fast if you're just getting a slice. I was going to give a 3, but decided on a 2 because I want the owner to see this. Young man helping me today was super friendly and I appreciated that since it was my 1st time there. Ordered 2 slice combo. Pizza is decent! Prices are reasonable. So when it came time to pay I accidentally put no tip so I asked the guy to cancel it so I can put a tip on my card. He then proceeded to tell me that it was OK since he doesn't get the tips left on cards anyway. Shameful. If you're the owner and you read this, do better. Your employees deserve those tips. I will start out with how great the customer service was which does boost the score rating. Sorry to say although customer service was great, the pizza was not. I ordered a vegetarian with basil and no tomatoes. The pizza was heavy on sauce to the point of a soggy crust, with little cheese and whole basil leaves plopped on top. Once I got home, I added more cheese, chopped the basil, and baked the pizza so the added cheese would melt and the crust would be firm. Three for customer service. read more

Gigi's pizza is straight forward good pizza. It's hot, yummy and priced well. They have specials of two huge slices with salad and a drink. I like how they always cook it fresh. It is across from El Camino College, so it gets busy sometimes. They have subs, giant fresh cookies and enough to keep you busy beyond just Pizza. At Valentine's they have heart shaped pizza and pepperoni. So cute. The workers are friendly. You order and wait, you eat in the patio area or can take out.
