I came to Soho Nails the day after getting my nails done at another salon and being super disappointed. The previous tech hadn't prepped my nails properly--there were bumps and uneven spots all over the dip manicure, and it just looked messy. I came in stressed (especially with my birthday coming up), but the tech at Soho immediately noticed what went wrong and walked me through how she'd fix it. She was so knowledgeable and kind, and really took her time to make sure everything was flawless. I got chrome, and she explained how their method helps it last longer--she even took extra steps with the top coat to make sure it would hold up. My nails turned out gorgeous, smooth, and birthday-ready. I was so impressed with the quality and care. Highly recommend Soho Nails! Update: Unfortunately, my second visit was the complete opposite. The dip was applied so thick I could barely function with my nails, and leftover powder was caked underneath. I was cut several times with the sanding tool, the nails weren't smooth, and there were visible ridges. The service dragged on for over an hour and a half, and the end result looked worse than when I walked in. I decided to give them another chance and specifically booked with the tech who had done such a great job the first time. When I arrived, she was already working on someone else and it turned out I'd been double booked. She didn't acknowledge me or apologize, which was frustrating. Another tech stepped in and did her best--she did a good job on the dip itself--but she was rushed and handed me off to someone else for the top coat, which ended up streaky and uneven. I even had to go back inside to get one nail fixed, but several others still had flaws. After two such drastically different experiences, I won't be back. I usually don't even make appointments, and the one time I did, it felt like my business wasn't valued at all. The vibe is mostly relaxing. They have calming music playing. Depending on who is doing your nails varies the cleanliness. Some stations are clean while others have dirt caked on. read more

Do NOT Get your lashes done here. When they were first done they were okay, nothing great, but my tech was out of town and I just needed it touched up for vacation. This has been an awful experience. The glue they put on my lashes burned for 5 minutes straight, knocked out half my real lashes, and I have gone to urgent care. I have a double eye infection and am on antibiotic eye drops. Sophie ruined my eyelashes. I will be in touch with management. Also, just got these done on Friday, they're almost all gone. read more

I really didn't expect so much dead skin still on my feet AFTER a classic pedicure. My toes and nails look like they have clear polish. She alerted me to the fact that the first polish I chose barely showed as anything so we changed to my second option. I have this second polish at home so I wanted to try something new but was already 40 minutes deep into my service. I have the same shade from the manufacturer at home that I use and it SHOWS when I paint my own nails. I think it's a different formula but the shade and Title of the color were the same as the OPI shade I have at home. I loved her attention to my worn cuticles and the lovely massage. Absolutely love SOHO nail and spa! I've never had a horrible experience here and I am picky about my nails! Every single employee I've had has been nothing but accommodating and friendly. There are so many options and they always do their best to nail the designs I have in mind. Appointments are definitely recommended especially on the weekends, but they are always willing to squeeze me in if I need a fill last minute. The spa is clean and beautifully decorated as well. I have never not been happy with the results. I make an appointment and see Gina every time I go. If Gina is on vacation, I see Bella. Both of them do great work and are eager to make their clients happy. The owners continually update different things around the salon. As others reviewers have already said, this staff talks about you as you're sitting there, they are rude, and if you ask for something, they have an attitude about giving you what you ask for, as if you aren't paying your own money. Susan was VERY rude to me just because I wanted two nail repairs and asked for a top coat on the older nails so that they would be glossy like the two new, repaired nails. I ended up just walking out, without the top coat finished, and STILL tipped just because I'm not classless. Everyone there takes a very long time to do basic toes and nails as well. One day I was there for almost 4 hours for a fill and pedicure and they were not that busy. Worst nails in Chesterfield and I've been to a few salons in this area (this one is close to my house so I wanted it to work but I'll now NEVER give them my money again!!!) I have been in the beauty industry for a long time and never have I seen such a poor example of customer service. It would be slightly different if this was the first time their workers were rude to me; however, I've experienced this several times as a paying customer there. Save your money and time! Don't go!! Who wants to pay their money to be hassled when you request the norm? As the others here have said, don't pay your money to go somewhere and get talked about and receive awful services! UPDATE: To Katie, the business owner who responds to these comments: I just read your response to my review. You could at least pretend to actually care by crafting different responses for all of us who have experienced rudeness from the staff....and why would any of us come back? How about offering a coupon or discounted services if you want folks to come back after being talked about and hassled and waste more of their time? But not only that we specifically asked for two pedis to be done at the same time they said sure. The girl doing the second Pedi wasn't even in the salon at that time she was still driving. My friend who did the deluxe was at least 15 minutes done before me which included a 10 minute massage whereas I changed mine to a classic after waiting for 20 minutes. I was there for over 2 hours. Went in for French and dip powder, left with solid color nails because the technician was not able to do the French. She attempted and it would be embarrassing if I walked out with those nails, and yet she would've let me! I felt like every technician in the place came over and were looking at my nails and clearly talking about me/my nails as if it were my fault and I was being stingy. I know I was probably made out to be the bad guy, but not everyone saw how hideous my nails looked. Not to mention, she looked at the time when she started and made a comment about it. I could tell she was in a hurry. I can let a lot of things go and I am never one to speak up about my nails but this experience was terrible. I still had to pay $60, yet I am still extremely dissatisfied and embarrassed about these big bulky nails. I travel 30 minutes to SOHO when I want to get my nails done and it is the place I recommend people to go to, but I will be doing neither of those things now. read more

I've been here a few times and it has always been okay. Not great. But okay. I had acrylics on and when I asked for them to shape them into stilettos and do an ombré look they convinced me to take the acrylic off, cut the nails down I had grown, and do dip. What. The. F*^#. I'm not sure what I was thinking but dip is NOT strong enough to keep long stiletto tips from bending and breaking. Well.... I made an appointment so I WOULDN'T be there ALL day! The appointment was for 1100 and no one even came by my table until 1130 but didn't stop!!! Why did others who didn't have an appointment get seated, completed, and out the door before I was started?!?! Not only did I walk out at 230 for a hand dip and upper lashes, BUT I WALKED OUT WITH AN INFECTION (both eyes and two nails). When told that I was 13 hrs away, they refused to tell me or an ER MD how to get the lashes off. I would have to pay to get them off! They refused to refund my money or pay for my medical care outside St Louis. No one should even take their animal their!!! PS: When getting a "dip" think of how clean your hands were when they dipped them down in the pot and then how many other hands were dipped before you yuk! I just love SoHo. The techs are all very nice. The owner welcomes me each time with a huge smile and a compliment. Not that I'm starving for a compliment but it's nice on her part. I've been serviced by Amy and Jennifer; both ladies were good but Jennifer has become my go-to tech for all things pretty: pedi, mani, brow wax. The shapes my nails exactly how I like them & recognizes my cut-down preference length. This indicates she's paying attention to my little details. The wax room is private and neat. Equipped with good lighting and a reclining chaise for comfort. They have kiddie pedi chairs if your babies deserve a pampering day as well. read more

There are a couple issues with this place. First off though, I want to recognize the manicurist Nancy who deserves 5 stars for her service. She takes her time, she's calm and kind and wants to make sure you are happy with her work. She did the most beautiful delicate flower designs on my friend's nails. The three stars overall is due to the use of dirty multi-colored towels, all nail salons should simply have clean white towels. They do not sterilize their tools, they keep them in a plastic box and use them the entire day without much of a clean between. I think that is a huge issue. Lastly some of the other employees are quite rude and pushy and aggressively pester you until you upgrade to more expensive service options like the Felix manicure/pedicure. After asking the woman to fix my nail that was almost half shorter of the other nails she then shaped it to a completely different shape as what my other nine nails were. More than anything it is the most frustrating when you express your concern about some thing and they completely shut you down. I've never paid $40 for the worst acrylic nail gel manicure in my life not only did she clean my nails underneath? She didn't even file them correctly And then charged me $40? I went to SoHo for the first time this past Saturday. I had scheduled and appointment a day in advanced for 2:30. I arrived and went to the front desk to sign in. They were obviously busy but I figured since I had an appointment, it was fine. So I waited and waited. The owner was calling people to get there nails done in random order, not even checking the sign in list. Two walk-ins were seated before me and a woman who had been there since two was still waiting, she had also scheduled an appointment. I kept reminding the owner that I was still waiting for my nails and his response was simply, "I know". Finally, around 3:30 he sat me down, and said he was going to put on my acrylic tips himself. He did this and then left me for another 20 minutes with the full length tips on. Finally a seat with a real tech opened, and I was sat with her. I hoped things would get better, but sadly they did not. The tech was nice, but my nails do not look great. They're lumpy, and the edges are not filed straight. Not only that, she cut my cuticles in multiple places leaving me bleeding. She also put gel polish on my nails without even asking me, costing me an extra $13. When I told her I did not want the gel nails , she said "sorry there's nothing I can do now." I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because they seem extremely busy, however they did not handle it well and I'm walking away with subpar nails and -$13 that I was planning on spending.
