This place is way over priced. We ordered the Saigon Beef with Rice. It was $18.40 for a very small portion. I would rate the food flavor at about a 3 out of 10. Wife says "do not ever go back to that place again". Lousy tasting food, small portions and overpriced. read more

Tita's Tropical Grill has taken over the old Ron's Island Grill, and after 3 visits, I'm a big fan! The menu is an interesting mix of Hawaiian, Caribbean & Asian-inspired food. You can get jerk chicken, Kahlua pork, Gochujang wings, poke bowls, and more. On my first trip, I had the Jerk Chicken which came on rice ($13) along with a side of waffle fries ($5) and pineapple slaw ($3.50). Overall I really enjoyed everything. The chicken was tasty and well-portioned, with nice flavors and the perfect amount of heat. It was all boneless and seemed to be of a good quality and was easy to eat. The pineapple skewer was a nice touch. I'd get it again. The waffle fries were also good, crispy and well-seasoned. I enjoyed the slaw as well, but it seemed more like a basic cole slaw. The food came out very quickly, which was nice. On my second trip I went with 6 gochuhang (Korean) wings ($9) and a side of mac salad. The wings had great flavor and size, and the mac salad did not disappoint. On my third trip, I got the veggie plate ($13). I was very impressed with this. It came with a good amount of broccoli, cauliflower & carrots on rice. The veggies were cooked perfectly crisp-tender, with a sweet-savory mariande that was good without being overpowering. The included side of mac salad provided a great flavor contrast. One interesting item is a dessert called a Piñanada ($5) which is a Dole Whip (pineapple soft-serve ice cream) with a chamoy sauce and Tajin seasoning. It is an interesting mix of sweet and spicy. It came with a tamarind stick. I liked it! Overall they are doing a great job here with the food as well as the quick & friendly service. It's also a nice atmosphere with good music playing. Ordered here before, the beef was amazing. Ordered through doordash and tried the Jerked Chicken - it was extremely gamey. I ordered 2 teriyaki sauces and am happy I did.. a scoop of rice and rice under the meat and no soy sauce or forks/spoons. read more

Love the spin that Tita's put on the island style restaurant! They have classic plate lunches that are yummy but they also have other different menu items that you wouldn't expect. The loaded fries are definitely a fun twist, we ordered both of them and were not disappointed. Even the plate lunches have other less traditional options. The guy who took our order super nice and great in explaining menu items and the effort they put into creating each dish. Our kids loved it too! Looking forward to coming back soon! read more

This place is so good! I love the variety here... there's more than just the basic Hawaiian plate meal on offer. Some favorites we've enjoyed have been the classic Huli Huli, Saigon Beef, Jamaican Jerk, Rincon, and Thai Curry plates. If you like smothered fries (a favorite guilty pleasure I allow myself on occasion), you MUST try both the Moa Lolo and the Veracruz fries at some point! They are both just out of this world. I just had the Veracruz fries for the first time tonight and I didn't think they could do better than the Moa Lolo fries, but they were amazing. You can't go wrong. The servings are also HUGE. You really get some bang for your buck here, which is getting harder to find these days. Also, they have DOLE WHIP. Hey, if you know you know...and that's reason enough to seek out this little gem in South Eugene! The service is always super quick, and I've never seen the manager/owner not there. That guy is working all the time, I swear. He's always really nice to talk to and wants to make sure you're happy. They were really busy when I walked in later tonight and still managed to get me a big order of fries in no time. read more

Service is phenomenal. 100% amazing service. Food however was not. Steak had a weird chew, like it was steamed in the bag. Nothing was being grilled. Huli Huli means "turn turn" like a spit. Not just a teriyaki based sauce. No warning that they season the rice with furikake. Pineapple Slaw was good. Interesting but good. read more

I love Hawaiian food and when I heard about Tita's Tropical Grill, of course I had to try it! I just finished a hike at Pisgah and I was starving! I stopped in and what a cute place! Great customer service and the menu! I almost opted for the Huli Huli chicken but I had the Spicy Mayo Poke bowl, as I'm kinda obsessed with poke bowls! Tita's didn't disappoint. I also had the Pinada, ok yum! They offered me a sample of the pineapple whip which I thought was so sweet! I took my poke to go and it was so good! I found out the same people who own Toxic, again obsessed with their burgers, own Tita's. They definitely didn't disappoint and I will be back to try all the things! So good and yeah to another great place! Prices were good, clean restaurant and friendly staff! I definitely will be coming back! Can't wait for the restaurant in Pleasant Hill to open too! Woohoo! Delicious, late pickup order at 7:45pm and we were served hot food with nothing but kindness. Hate to admit we've been "sleepin' on" trying this place and now I'm hooked. The restaurant was empty when we entered around 5:00. I ordered a Mai Thai and was disappointed, a $15.00 drink that tasted nothing like one I had before and 3/4 ice. Our meals, two came out with cold rice and meat. We asked to have them warmed, instead they remade the dishes and the rice and meat was still lukewarm warm. When we finished, the restaurant was still empty. As we were leaving a couple came in that appeared to be friends of the workers. We had high hopes but left knowing we would not be back. The lighting was so low we had problems seeing what was on our plates. read more

Today I had the opportunity to try tita's tropical grill, at first glance it has a really nice Hawaiian themed ambience, very clean and neat. I was helped pretty quickly I ordered the mao ldo fries and the huli huli chicken, after ordering it took quite some time to get my food which I usually don't mind at all as I know good things take time. But as I was waiting I overheard the counter person tell the cooks countless times they need to "get it together back there" after hearing that I literally wanted to cancel my order and just get a refund at that point but I tough it out. After getting my order and getting home I opened the fries and just seen a big mess with soggy fries I took a bit and was very disappointed, the chicken had taste like it was reheated or came from a package some of the sauces had a good taste but the chunks of pineapple threw me off. My partner also tried the huli huli chicken and agreed that the meat was either reheated or prepackaged and that the macaroni salad just tasted like pure mayo. Unfortunately after spending $31.00 and feeling robbed I had to leave my opinion. read more

First time trying. Starting with the positive, friendly staff and fast service. Now to the cons, we ordered the huli chicken plate and the Jamaican jerk plate. The chicken was very dry. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for some time. The portions were very small for what they are charging. There was maybe 3 bites of mac salad. Lots of rice but it felt that it was a buffer for small servings of the chicken and mac salad. Not sure if we will be back, which Is unfortunate since it's a great location. read more
