We were in the area and looking to try something new when found this Italian spot. The location is decent size and has a bar side with seating and then another room that appeared to be dining for all ages. Within walking in we were seated immediately in the bar area and our waiter was over within seconds along with the manager who were both hospitable during our stay. We started off with the warm bread with Parmesan crusts and oil/vinegar. House salads and a Cesar salad with anchovies were next and satisfactory! Next came the garlic/butter muscles that were cooked perfectly with flavor and that sauce was amazing soaking up with mussels and bread! We ordered the lasagna, chicken piccata and gnocchi brown butter with sausage. The dishes were amazing and everyone enjoyed the flavors and freshness. Dessert was cannolis and cheesecake. All in all we def will be back to try more dishes and I will definitely be trying other cheesecake flavors. Everything was made well and had great flavor. Cool little local spot of fresh Italian food. The $15.50 Eggplant & Burrata is the largest appetizer serving I've ever seen in my life. If I make it back here, I would just order that as an appetizer and an entre. I couldn't believe how big it is. For the entre I had the $22.50 Baked Ziti. Another monster portion. I can see why my Dad loves this place. These are some of the biggest serving sizes around anywhere. For dessert we had $12 Blueberry cake. I was so pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! From the outside, it is tooled in the middle of a strip mall next to a Kroger. But On the inside, it Is so uniquely designed to feel like an Italian bistro. Our server, Ryan, didn't miss a beat with providing us 10/10 service. Now onto the food... incredible! First timer and it was a nice experience. The restaurant strives for an upscale experience and mostly delivers. Our waiter was professional and won us over by stopping by shortly after we sat to greet us and say he'd be with us shortly. Just being acknowledged like that when a place is busy makes you feel valued. Upon his return, he took the time to explain the entire menu and the specials and drinks. Given it was Mother's Day weekend, it was busy but we received waters almost immediately and bread shortly after. The wait for the meal wasn't too bad either. I gave the chicken parm 8/10. There was a fairly sweet tomato sauce, I wouldn't say it was traditional. The breading on the chicken was also a bit different than a typical chicken parm as it was thick and crunchy. My friend had Alfredo with added shrimp. The Alfredo sauce was delicious and there were a handful of nicely cooked large shrimp. I'd say another 8/10 for that dish as the Alfredo sauce could have been a bit more cheesy. We liked the calm, dimly lit dining room (booth). We ordered an appetizer of their fried cheese balls - these were fine, but nothing to rave about; however, the basil cream sauce they came with was delicious. We ordered cocktails and waited 30+ minutes for those to arrive - again, not a huge deal with how busy they were and us not being in a hurry, but perhaps don't come here if you're on a schedule. The cocktails were... abysmal. The grapefruit drink my partner ordered was incredibly bitter, and my drink (blue martini in the photos) transported me back to freshman year of college - it tasted like a flat four loko. The bread was good, carsar salad was fine, the entrées were pretty good, and our server was sweet, but it was not enough to get us to come back for a second time. Celebrated my birthday with 5 others last night. It was a first time visit for all of us, despite the fact that we all live relatively close. The food, service, and ambiance were all outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I rarely choose Italian restaurants when out with friends as i was blessed with Italian immigrant grandparents who taught me how to prepare great italian food. The Amore Italian Kitchen menu exceeded my expectations, by far! Great selections from appetizers to dinner, and dessert! We all selected different items from the menu and were amazed and delighted with the quality, presentation and quantity, which "forced us" to ask for take home boxes! I just finished my "Toni" pasta dish and was just as good today as it was yesterday. Kudos to our server for the great recommendations and to the chef's who prepared them. From the charming interior to the exceptional staff, especially Ryan, who was the most attentive and kind waiter I've encountered in years, everything about this place exudes love. The food, drinks, and music make you feel like you're falling in love with Italy while dining there. I usually praise Italian restaurants that simply serve real chicken piccata, but Amore goes one step further with chicken saltimbocca, which made my head spin with excitement. The cocktails, particularly the red sangria, were perfectly crafted, and the soup of the day, bread, and dipping oils were all superb. Each dish was served in a manner that allowed for leisurely enjoyment without leaving us waiting for the waiter. Our group tried spaghetti and meatballs, chicken saltimbocca, chicken parmesan, stuffed chicken breast, and a custom dinner with steak and buttered pasta for a picky eater, and every bite was delightful. The leftovers were also fantastic the next day. I absolutely recommend this place. I'm thrilled to have found an Italian restaurant in Indianapolis that serves both authentic dishes and typical Americanized Italian food. We go to Amore! every other year for Christmas Eve and it never disappoints. We had a group of around 16 people and I was very impressed with our waitress, food, and overall experience. The menu has a wide range of options to choose from. So you are bound to find something you love. They serve warm bread with olive oil & balsamic before your meal which is always a win. I ordered a pinot grigio and it didn't disappoint. I wasn't able to grab a picture of every meal but luckily was able to try each dish. My favorite by FAR was the creamy tuscan skillet. You can choose chicken, shrimp, and/or sausage to add to the dish and it takes it up a notch. I will literally dream of that dish. The chicken piccata was a 7/10. Your classic dish but the capers obviously added a blast of flavor and also included a hint of lemon. The pork medallions consisted of a smoky taste and the gnocchi had a subtle dijon mustard flavor. It was different but very good. Overall a great experience! You can't go wrong here if you love italian food like I do! read more

We started with the arancini- delicious and a generous portion for an appetizer. The pesto cream sauce was yummmm. All entrees come with a salad or soup, we got salads and again, so good. Fresh, homemade dressing. And the bread and oil/balsamic! Also, SO good. Entrees- my absolute fav, carbonara. I could have done without the chicken because the pasta and the sauce was perfect on its own. My friend got the lasagna, huge portion, but I will say the sauce has a sweetness to it, which isn't my thing, but it was still really good. I thought it was so nice that it came with a side of veggies! I always feel like I miss out on eating veggies when ordering heavy Italian meals. Lastly, we finished with what I think was the best cannoli I've ever had. The cream was so smooth on the inside, I hate when they're gritty. On a busy Friday night without reservations anywhere, my friend and I decided we wanted Italian. Having heard good things about Amore, I called and was surprised to hear there was no wait. We drove over and while it was packed, a table was immediately prepared for us. The hostesses were so sweet, a nice start to our visit. After sitting, we realized things may be a bit slow for us. Getting water took about 10 minutes, which the hostess took care of (without us having to ask). About 10 minutes later, a very nice waiter took our drink orders. Those didn't arrive for about 20 minutes (someone different was bringing out drinks). Once they did, he brought us bread and oil and took our order. Our salads came out and they looked delicious, so fresh. We had seen some other tables be offered fresh cracked pepper, but due to the busy-ness, it was skipped for us, bummer but not a huge deal. A little later our food came. Our waiter grated fresh cheese over our entrees and even came back with more after running out when my friend raved about loving it so much, haha. Everything tasted delicious. I tried my friend's cheese ravioli with tomato sauce and it was divine. My roasted pork shoulder ragu, which is one of their signature dishes, was huge, hearty, and flavorful. It was clearly made with homemade noodles, long and flat, the kind you could never pick up from a grocery. I asked about dessert and was told my options were blueberry cheesecake, tiramisu, and cannolis. Per the waiters recommendation, we went with the tiramisu and it was SO tasty! The meal ended up being on the pricey side but not one complaint on anything we ate - our taste buds went on quite the adventure! I would say come patient, we ended up being there just over 2 hours. What a hidden gem off of Fall Creek! So glad I gave this place a try!! We made reservations for four for a girls' night for 4:00p. They open at that time so we probably didn't need the reservation but it didn't hurt to be safe. I would say, when we were leaving around 06:00p, it was definitely picking up so you may want to make a reservation around that time. When we walked in we were immediately greeted & sat promptly. The wait time to see a waitress/waiter was easily less than 30 seconds which is huge in my book. Service throughout the whole dining experience was prompt & friendly which is definitely a breathe of fresh air. I wanted to order a classic Italian drink & immediately went with the Negroni! Very well made! For food I ordered the Mushroom Ravioli & it was absolutely amazing! The sauce was creamy & had the perfect taste. The amount of mushroom was perfect & the reason I say this because I've seen at some places they don't always put enough. The entree came with a salad & I chose the house.
