I am a huge fan of Amore Laser, and specifically, Sarah. It can be embarrassing, all this hair that insists on growing in strange areas, but Sarah is always calm as a cucumber, a "hey, I've seen it all, no worries" attitude that has always put me at ease. The offices are clean, I love the reminder emails, they really have customer service down to a science. I've been to several laser hair removal clinics in the past (using specials on Groupon), but I have not been as impressed with any others. I've had two treatments of laser hair removal done on my lower legs and so far I'm impressed! The majority of my leg hair has either not really grown back or it's thinner. I've had the same technician for both treatments and she was really nice. She kept asking how I was doing and was very knowledgeable. I was skeptical at first because I had a bad experience with Ideal Image. They are overpriced crooks! Amore Laser is affordable and they do a great job! Everyone there is super nice, too. I just finished my 6 sessions I bought through groupon. The actual results are great and the procedure is simple and mostly painless, definitely worth the little pain there is. The people who complete the actual procedures are great. Out of the 6 sessions I was 10 minutes late for one and I had to reschedule because they couldn't fit me in, understandable. Last session... one machine is not working properly and a male client comes in 25 minutes late for his appointment (I overhear both of these conversation while waiting because I'm on time), They bring him back right away then try to reschedule mine because of the machine. If I was an unassertive person it would have happened. They said they would "comp" that day. I said it was already paid for and they said they would give me another day is what they meant. ok but this day is already paid for so it wouldn't be a comp. I don't know...it left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Sarah is really, really good at her work as an aesthetician, (I've seen her six or seven times now for chemical peels and microderm abrasion treatments), and the rest of the staff at Amore has been nothing less than professional and courteous to work with. Just finished my last treatment from a groupon I purchased. The same deal came up on groupon again so I purchased another 6 since the previous six treatments didn't quite do the job. Of course after i pay for it, I was informed I couldn't use it on the same areas I was currently treating, ugh! They said I could use it on other "medium areas" but I don't have a hairy neck, lip, chin or areoles!! So I am basically screwed out of my money. Kind of disappointed they wouldn't make an exception since I've already spent so much money there already. Hopefully I'll get my money back from groupon! Initially-I purchased the 6 session Groupon for the legs. I got there sadly, my appt. was not in the computer but Susan (owner) got me in regardless immediately. She was super helpful and apologetic. Being in medical management, I'm more critical than most but they we're fabulous. Extremely accommodating as if I were VIP. Kristen did my first treatment, loved her then Megan did my second who was super great too. Such dynamic personalities. All the ladies there are super sweet and make you feel very comfortable. I have had two treatments and already I barely have to shave my legs . Too cool! They also recently ran a customer appreciation promotion and I bought two more packages to do my underarms & bikini area. I have a hard time with this review. The staff at Amore usually gets 5 stars for being friendly, but I am really not liking some of their office staff at the moment. I have been going here for over a year, and followed them from their old location to their new one. They have a great value and good attitude. ...But I just am not seeing results. I have had the same area treated over and over again for over a year. I went in with pale skin and dark upper lip hair. I think 8-10 treatments later, it's still there. I recently went to a different place to see about changing, and was told it was because the level was not increased with each treatment, and that they scheduled my sessions too close together. Supposedly you are suppose to gradually go up and up as treatments progress. I know my level has only increased when I have specifically requested it because of a overall lack of results, and since I like going here, that hasn't been too often. Also another review here stuck a cord with me. Here is the deal, I pay $50 a session for upper lip, which in my opinion has to be one of the smallest areas they cover. I often walk out with a total of like 5-6 zaps on that area. They don't always get the bottom corners of my mouth or near my nose. The staff is very nice, and she even once did my toes for free for me to see if I could stand it when I was thinking about getting my legs done. But I just feel like I would have to be rude to get them to treat the full area (Excuse me don't forget my man-ish like hair over here too!) This feeling has just been exasperated as I keep going. I added on side burns too, months back but they were only treating to the bottom of my ears. So I added neck and then they were only doing jawline. So recently I sucked it up and bought full face, figuring it was my cheapness more than anything that was limiting the treatment. However, when I went in, she would literally only do the areas I specifically requested (ie. "and by my eyebrow too?") Full face is full face, don't embarrass your customer by make them beg and plead for every zap. It's like asking me if I want my knees done when I pay for full legs (the answer is always yes). To their credit, I've never had them not treat somewhere when I asked, like I said I even got a freebie with my toes once. I just really wish they treated the areas you were paying for more thoroughly. Overall, please note, they are friendly and very decently priced. I think right now I am just very disappointed with the results on myself. I would recommend them in a heartbeat, and I have, but right now it's just not working out for me. Also, if you can catch her, I would recommend Devon. Very sweet girl. read more

I came to know this place through Groupon. It was a bad deal. I have had 2 treatments so far and in the first I did my legs and the lady named Sarah missed several spots. I felt like she did not like her job and was very short and dry. I have had Laser treatments before and I had very few hairs left but she managed to miss the hairs and live several rows of hair. After my first treatment I called and changed my 2nd appointment to a touch up in my underarms and she also managed to do a bad job. I think the lady could be blind or something like that. Also, the people who work there all seem to depend on a lady name Lisa who never knows what price she is giving to people. They are kind of disorganized and I would never recommend anyone to go to that place. I have the feeling that their policies are not to give you a good treatment so one can keep going and giving them more money. If you want to find a good place for Laser do not go to Amore. After this experience I am going back to the place where I used to go even though is more expensive. Like the phrase say: You get what you pay for it. I don't like to write bad reviews but this is a warning for anyone out there who is planning to get Laser Hair Removal. This is my first and last Groupon for services. I think Groupon is good for Restaurants, stores but not for services. Looking for a good place for Laser go to NewU in saint David's the girl there sees well and does a awesome job. I received a Groupon for 6 treatments as a gift back in September. I have almost completed my treatments and am thrilled with my results thus far. The staff is also super nice. When I did my initial consultation there wasn't an available tech, so the Owner actually did my consultation so that I wouldn't have to wait and she even scheduled my next appointment because the front desk was overwhelmed with other clients when I got out of my appointment. I haven't had any issues with Amore or their staff and each treatment turned out the results I expected, I had some redness after a few different treatments but each time it went away within a reasonable amount of time not hindering my normal lifestyle. I also like the reminders that they send because scheduling treatments so far out from each other I constantly forget when they are coming up so I really appreciate the phone call and the confirmation emails I receive. read more
