This is the BEST and the most in-expensive laser place I have EVER been too! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I have been getting laser hair removal for years and have tried different types of lasers and this is by far the best results I have ever received. I previous got bikini at another company for 3 years straight and saw about 30% reduction. I have received 2 treatments here so far and my hair is almost completely gone. Everyone has different results because it's hormonal so it all depends on you personally but for me; it's been great. I bought a groupon for the nail fungus removal. This is a relatively new procedure, that if works, will be awesome. I went there and everyone was friendly, no wasted time. The laser process took all of 10 minutes. I will have to get back to you in 6 months and if the fungus is gone, I will give it 5 stars for sure. Without groupon I would say pricey, but honestly, anyone who has been afflicted with this knows that it is cheap if it kills it all in one 10 minute zapping. read more

Locations is a little hard to locate but look for Shipley's and you're golden! Staff is nice and personable and explains the before and after care. My results so far have made me very happy. I started with my armpits because I always had a dark shadow even after shaving and never felt secure. After 1 session I noticed a significant decrease in hair. After 2 I'm so amazed can't wait to finish my treatment. At my last appt I bought sessions to do a small area and I'm impressed again. I upgraded from a bikini treatment to a Brazilian after 1 session. Sarah was so nice and made me feel very comfortable since I was quite embarrassed about the whole procedure. I got a great groupon deal (price-wise anyway). But you do get what you pay for. And in this case it was sub-standard service. I don't think the staff is that experienced at Amore or really care. They don't seem very knowledgeable about laser settings and skin types. I got my underarms lasered at Amore and my legs done at Alite Laser in Round Rock. Both of these areas have the same coarseness/thickness for me. In 3 treatments at Alite I barely have any hair left on my legs!! I also waited a few months between my 3rd and 4th treatment there and there has been no new hair growth. Yay! BUT In 6 treatments at Amore I still have to shave my underarms every 2-3 days. Before it would be every day so has there been change- sure. But why waste your time when you can go to people who have more years of experience and will show you the results you want? I am actually going to Alite to have them "fix" what Amore should have taken care of for me. The pros about Amore: I had a few different techs at Amore and if you still choose to go, go to Ashley. She's nice and genuine. And she is more precise than the others when she's "zapping" you. And the place is clean and hygienic. If you want faster and long-lasting results, ask for Cori at Alite Laser in Round Rock. You won't regret it! read more

Very nice staff, gave me recommendations on what treatment to have since I was unfamiliar with the procedure, either peel or dermabrasion. Went with the latter, not painful at all. They suggest further treatments and sunblock/tinted moisturizer, but not too hard of a sell. All in all, very pleasant experience. And oh yeah, it's right next to Shipley's Doughnuts! Lisa and her crew were so accommodating and gracious. Mindy answered all of my questions about the process and was very quick and diligent. Lisa is fantastic and professional! Laser hair removal treatment has different results for everyone, so it's not Amore's fault if your follicles hold on tighter to your hair! I can't say whether you will receive the end results you want as far as the hair removal, BUT I can recommend Amore on Anderson as a great, clean, and professional business to at least try out the hair removal process! Like so many others, I came about Amore via Groupon. Even with Groupon it's a little pricy. The staff is friendly and considerate of your time. The facility is clean and neat. Procedure is relatively little pain. I had the lip ("female mustache") treatment - 6 visits (once a month over 6 months) and all appeared to be going well. Staff did tell me it may take until the 5 or 6 treatment to see results. However, having completed my 6 treatments it's been 2 months and the hair continues to grow - it's not gone, i still have mustache! My technician is very easy to talk with and professional, making the process as quick and painless as it could be. I've had no complaints. Apparently this is a great option if you are a Groupon user, but regular customers...well not so much. I went here and paid full price for all my services and tipped well. I still got treated every time like a discount user. Maybe they just don't know how to treat customers. The laser are high quality, the staff is pleasant, the location is clean. But the rushed way they speed through appointments, and the haphazard way they address treatment areas was very disappointing. I hear they have some amazing groupon specials, like 70% off, so maybe at that price I wouldn't have minded the large patches they missed. But as a full price paying customer, or in fact as any customer, I wish they would refocus on the customer and the service they are providing. read more

I got the groupon for 3 laser treatments for $129 and used it for a bikini, with the upgrade to a "martini glass brazilian" for $25 extra per visit. Before I bought the groupon, I called to see if the butt was included in the brazilian (i couldn't find any industry standard on the internet) and was told that it was. However, when I paid, I was charged an extra $25 for the butt, so the three treatments would cost me in all $279 (before tip) but that would have still been worth it to me...except... 30 days later I had full hair growth with nickel-sized spots of NO hair growth, perfectly round. i understand that many treatments are necessary for hair removal, but that's supposed to be due to staggered hair growth cycles. It was evident that I would need many treatments because of the technician's failure to cover the entire area. Herein lies the bait-and-switch, my friends. I studied up for my next appointment, anticipating that Amore would use that vague language about hair growth cycles in response to my complaint about inadequate coverage. I'm a consumer lawyer. I was ready. On the internet i found other complaints about this very issue about other places, and honest technicians had explained exactly what I knew...spotty laser application makes spots. But I was hopeful, because even after 6 weeks, NO growth had appeared in those spots. After 3 treatments, surely everywhere would have been hit, right? I had switched technicians from Devon (1st) to Sara for my second appointment. I voiced my complaints to Sara, and I didn't have to pull out my research; Sara told me that SHE makes sure to "overlap," while Devon does not. Bingo! I made a deal with Sara. I'd tip her 50 cents per zap. After 120 zaps I told her $60 was my tip limit, but I was so happy she was getting everything...except... 30 days later I was almost completely bare except for a patch that was somewhat triangular, but the bottom of the triangle didn't make a point. The bottom was about 1/2" wide and stretched down about 1 1/2" from where the point was supposed to be. Under that, there was horizontal patch of growth about 1/4" wide by 3" almost straight across the area. It looked like my twat was wearing a "V for Vendetta" mask. I could still feel patches on my butt. For my 3rd appointment (with Sara) I showed her the areas and requested she make sure to get them. I've got translucent white skin and dark hair. It's pretty clear where the hair is. Well, that 3rd (and last) appointment was two months ago. I am completely bare for the most part (which goes to show how effective the lasers can be) but I've still got the SAME growth as I did before the 3rd appointment. It's like that 3rd appointment never happened. The butt is the same, and I'm always shaving a mustache and other areas of full growth as described above off my twat. Come to think of it, the triangle-ish top part and the 1/2" wide vertical line down below it that ends 1 1/2" down where the 3" slash across meets it kinda makes the shape of a WHOLE martini glass. Ah, the irony...anyway, whenever I look down I don't think "happy hour" - it's totally "V for Vendetta." read more

Don't waste your money... While I admit, the thought of removing unwanted hair is appealing, this is NOT the place to get it done. We've all heard of hair removal salons that just don't work, well, unfortunately this is one of them. I've been there a large number of times - I'm even afraid to think of how many - and while the immediate results always look promising, a few weeks later, the same amount of hair comes back. I really really like Amore Laser. I have a package for 6 bikini laser sessions. So far, I have had 2 and seen pretty good results on the area's treated. I've had two different technicians both times I've been, and both have been very thorough, professional, and just genuinely nice people. The first woman I had (forgive me, my memory is about as good as a 90 year old woman's, so I have no clue what her name was) explained to me exactly how the laser treatment works and what it would probably feel like. She also gave me pretty detailed after-care treatment advice (USE ALOE!). The area she treated (about 7 weeks ago) has not grown back. I just had my second treatment yesterday, and it was quick and not too painful. I had a different technician who wasn't bad either, she seemed like she did a good job of not missing any spots. As of today I'm not in any pain, so that's always good. I am liking this not-having-annoying-body-hair thing a lot, and so I decided to purchase another package for my lip/ facial area. I sat down with Lisa who was extremely friendly and hooked it up with the Groupon pricing for 6 sessions even before the Groupon came out because it's coming out this week. That was really cool of her, they seem very fair as far as pricing/upselling goes around there from my personal experience:) They offer other services such as chemical peels and spider vein treatments (which is next on my list)..will probably try them out as this place seems really legit. read more

I decided to try this place because I got a great deal from Groupon...3 treatments for $70! Unheard of! I have had previous experience with laser hair removal 7 years ago when it first came on the market. I had my underarms treated. I am very light skinned but have dark, coarse stubborn underarm hair. I would shave in the morning and by 5 oclock I had the "5 oclock shadow" look....not cute or sexy! Because the treatments were so expensive back then ($150 a pop!) I only had 4 treatments done and apparently that wasn't enough for my hair! That being said, this time around, I found Amore Laser to be a great place. It looks dingy on the outside, but it is nice and cute on the inside. All the staff I encountered were very friendly, and I was not treated differently because I was a "Groupon" customer. I didn't have to wait at all for my appointment, it was right on time. The lady who did my treatment was nice and friendly, and did an efficient yet thorough job. Great place...Susan, Taylor, and the other technician (can't remember her name ;( are very courteous, professional, and accommodating. Service, booking, time spent on treatments, etc are all efficient and top-notch. Be sure and call BEFORE purchasing the Groupon and they will give you the Groupon price without having to go through Groupon. That way, Amore does not have to split the proceeds with Groupon. I have had numerous experiences with laser hair removal. Amore is by far the best experience yet. In the past, I have attempted to combine my laser hair removal treatments in a location where I can also have spa treatments. I and have learned that it makes much more sense to respect an establishment's specialty- Amore specializes in laser treatments and it is obvious. Their staff is well trained. I have seen both Mindy and Rhonda. They both carefully explained how to prepare for the procedure, what to expect during and post procedure care. They keep detailed notes in my chart. One thing I really appreciate is that when the receptionists calls to confirm the appointment she will remind you that if you have been taking antibiotics, or the area to be treated has been exposed to the sun, you should reschedule. It seems to be a very organized business. I have very limited time, so I schedule on my lunch hour. So far, appointments have been timely and the procedures have been thorough, but efficient. I purchased a groupon for a series of 6 treatments and just had my very first ever laser hair removal treatment. Susan at the front was warm, informative, and accommodating at the initial phone call to set appointment, as well as when I came in for consult and first treatment. The treatment was done by Megan who was also very nice and patient with me, since I was so nervous about the pain factor. They used the Candela laser on me and it was considerably more tolerable than I anticipated. Treatment itself lasted 5-10 minutes, the first half felt like water shooting at me, second half felt like hot needle slightly pricking me. The facility and treatment rooms were clean. This is a tough review to write because I have no comparison to write it against. With other reviews, I write against what I've had experience with in the past (restaurants, shopping, health clinics, etc.). Given this is my very first time with this kind of service and treatment, I have no relevance to do a comparison against. That said, I really liked this place. Admittedly, I didn't have a great experience (twice) with booking. The woman (Rockie????) was aloof and seemed very dismissive. She was uneducated with how to price my upgrade of my groupon and seemed to want to just push me off to a manager. When I spoke with the manger, it was AWESOME. She was excited that I was a new client. She was helpful. She was very professional. She was thorough and explained everything. I had mixed feeling going in, given I had a "so-so" experience with booking and upgrading. When I arrived, it was great. I loved the whole experience. Everyone was thorough, friendly, professional...and overall they made me feel relaxed and welcomed. I can see why people might say that privacy is an issue given their aren't full walls, rather partitions between the rooms. To me, this isn't a big deal. We are all their for the same reason - removal of unwanted hair. And I didn't hear anyone else during my treatment. Overall, I think this place is great and I'd recommend it to anyone.
