He worked with me on a menu and he delivered my vision. Even with extreme circumstances (another vendor broke our garage door 24 hours before the event) Chef Peter and his crew took it in stride. They were on time and hauled their heavy equipment in and got straight to work. He was basically cooking/grilling on one side of our building (back patio), having to run back forth to the interior kitchen and sink. He and his crew worked SO hard that night. He shared his professional background and then went through a detailed discussion reviewing our vision for the night, including timing of the event, likes/dislikes, options for specialty/seasonal ingredients, etc. After the phone call, he followed up with a proposed menu for a 5-course omakase meal, accounting for our preferences, which was spot on. We paid a deposit to secure the date. He checked in a few days before the event and day-of kept a good line of communication with us, providing ETA. He was quick to set up in our kitchen and then the magic started. He brought his own table lights, dishware, utensils, cooking supplies/pans, etc. He offers tablecloths as well. When dinner was ready, he announced each course, sharing how the dish was prepared. The food was awesome. Just simply awesome. Pictures won't do justice, especially since I forgot to take some as I was enjoying the food too much. He buys the fish fresh that morning and you can appreciate the quality of it. Was served a raw chicken skewer, and when I let the caterer know what happened she seemed very unbothered by the fact that she had served raw chicken and let me know she needed to pay better attention which was kind of alarming to me. The server she had accompanying her was actually lovely and very kind, and very apologetic about serving the raw skewer. Prior to posting my review I did go on to read other reviews and it seems as if this isn't the first time that raw chicken has been served which is very concerning. The appetizers lacked flavor to me, and unfortunately after consuming the raw chicken I threw my plate away as I was too concerned to keep eating. Not my favorite experience to say the least.
