Chef Ronnie came to our house with his assistant Lisa (I think - sorry!) and they were both just awesome. Ronnie is super down-to-earth and totally friendly. My friends and I were super obnoxious and loud and asking ridiculous questions and he seemed to have fun right along with us. I recently planned a weekend retreat with six of my coworkers, and when I started the process of seeking out a private chef, Ronnie came highly recommended. The entire process - from booking him (at the last minute, no less!) and planning out the menu together to the meals themselves - absolutely could not have been better. From the beginning, Ronnie was extremely helpful and collaborative throughout the planning process. Not only did he happily accommodate with our gluten-free dietary restrictions, he was also able to adapt to all of our eleventh-hour requests and alterations. On the day of the event, Ronnie arrived promptly to prepare a light yet satisfying lunch. The food was incredible! In addition to the delicious meal, he had brought along snacks for the group to enjoy later in the afternoon (and enjoy those rice krispie treats we did!). We wanted to do something fun and memorable for my 40th bday so we googled personal chefs. We came across Chef Ronnie and called him right away. He was very responsive, personable and clearly an expert in his field. He listened to our menu ideas and also offered ideas of his own-it was a very collaborative and enjoyable process from start to finish. On the day of the event, Chef Ronnie arrived on time and immediately felt like an old friend. We also have small children and Ronnie went out of his way to speak to and connect with them. We hired Ronnie for our New Year's Eve party. We had about 15 guests and he made a perfect 3-course meal. Ronnie's communication was great from the start and offered great choices for our meal. He was punctual, orderly and cleaned up everything after cooking and serving. His assistant was wonderful as well. I had two guests who did not eat red meat (we chose a steak dish) and one of whom has Celiac disease and must be completely gluten free. He was happy to adjust the dishes accordingly and they enjoyed their meals just as much. The food was tasty, especially the chocolate dessert! We were happy a few people didn't show up so we could enjoy the left overs the next day! My daughter, who doesn't like vegetables, devoured the arugula salad and wants me to learn how to make it. I hired Chef Ronnie to cook an at-home dinner for a group of girlfriends with high expectations -- and Ronnie delivered!! We were all thrilled and talked about the dinner for days following. Ronnie was really great working with us to customize a menu, full of Mom's favorite dishes.
