Great bread, customer service, and location with plenty of parking! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have indoor and outdoor seating options as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The bread is soooooo chewy and delicious I got the Italian for my first time and loved it. I always get all the toppings and half sandwich (and still can eat only half in one sitting). The person behind the counter helped me decide what to get, and I'm happy I followed their recommendations. No such thing as too much pickle, I got the pickle beer and chips! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's the first glimpse of fall, so I enjoyed the cool weather on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's mostly covered and I sat in the cushioned bench seat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking was a breeze on this Monday afternoon.

I am NOT a sandwich girlie but this place is amazing!! I was so torn on what I wanted to order. I debated between the Italian, Cuban or the club. I went with the half club and it was sooooo good!!! This sandwich paired nicely with spicy dill kettle chips. The staff members were hardworking & helpful. I will definitely be back here whenever I'm in the mood for a yummy , delicious sub sandwich with awesome bread!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is casual so you can kick back and chill inside or on the outside patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is my second time visiting here, and I figured out the perfect order! Once again staff was super friendly, and my food came out pretty quickly for only having one person on staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a very laid back vibe with some cute cats that will visit you on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the buffalo chicken salad which was packed with flavor, and the half sandwich is the perfect size for one person. The blue cheese makes this chicken salad sandwich really stand out. I also tried the potato salad which was delicious, but I think could have had a little more seasoning. Luckily the bacon added a punch of flavor to it.

This has become my new favorite lunch spot. I got the Italian sandwich and the flavors all go together so well. The bread tastes great, and it has the perfect hint of spiciness. My order was also ready very quickly after ordering online. I highly recommend if you have a sandwich craving.

I've heard such great things about Ampersandwich and was excited to finally visit. The store is near downtown Avondale and has plenty of parking. The inside is small, but cozy and the staff was quite friendly. I kept my order simple this time with a turkey and cheese sandwich. The seasoned peppers were my fav element but the bread was a bit harder than I prefer. I also tried the potato salad and enjoyed it!

The Cuban sandwich was ok. Cuban mustard would be better. https://plochman.com/products/cuban/#:~:text=Cuban%20Mustard&text=A%20touch%20of%20garlic%2C%20a,flavor%20and%20intense%20Cuban%20flair. The staff service is excellent. Parking is a problem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of tables inside and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I found the experience to be a mix of highs and lows. The sandwich I ordered was satisfactory but lacked distinct flavors that would make it memorable. However, the bread was a standout--fresh, hearty, and clearly crafted with care. It's tough because the bread that makes it--like all truly great sandwich shops. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of Ampersandwich is inviting, and the staff is attentive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Given the quality of the bread, I believe there's potential for a more flavorful sandwich experience in future visits

The food was great. The service is perfect and [[HIGHLIGHT]]ambiance was chilled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tasty sub couldn't go wrong with a good Italian sub.

    Meatball sub
    Chip C.

Went here with a friend for lunch the other day and was pleasantly surprised. It had popped up in some recommendations, but had never went to find it. It is located behind Avondale Common House, so it can be hard to spot if you aren't looking for it. They offer a variety of sandwiches, both cold and hot, as well as some bagels - the pizza bagels did look interesting - but I ultimately had to go with one of my favorite sandwiches, the meatball sub. I will say, a half sub will fill up most people, especially if you get chips with it, unless you are just REALLY hungry. They do not skimp on the size of their sandwiches. The meatball sub was good. The meatballs were flavorful, and the cheese was plentiful as well. My only nitpick would be that it could have used a tab more sauce - but again, that's a nitpick. My only warning is that if you're getting a drink, don't assume they have drink fountains like other restaurants. I ordered a water, but was not told that I had to get a bottled water. A heads up would have been nice. If I had known that, I would have ordered a soda instead.

The focaccia was so fresh and you can tell it was made in house. It could be eaten alone or dipped in the olive oil/sauce mixture under the peppers. The steak frites was good, but I wouldn't say it was the best thing ever. Steak was cooked well but lukewarm when it came out and the fries lacked any crunch. The hollandaise sauce was very good though. Would definitely try either the pizza or the chicken schnitzel if I came again. The spicy lamb rigatoni was good as well. Could've used a little more lamb but otherwise it was a very solid and flavorful dish. Very happy that we tried the cheesecake. There were layers to the flavor as you got to taste the white chocolate and raspberry sauces first, and then it transitioned into the sweet cheesecake and the homemade crust. The crust really was what made the dish, as you could pick out cinnamon type flavors which added a little spice to balance the sweetness of the cheesecake. Overall I would definitely (and probably will) come here again. The modern and cozy ambiance was great, and the staff was there at every turn to take your dish, pour a drink, or even box up your leftovers.

The bun was soft, fresh, and really complemented the toppings. The fries were crispy and tasty, making for a solid side. For our meal, we ordered the Chili Ray Cyrus burger with fries ($13.29), an Al Capone hot dog ($8.79), a Blueprint burger ($11.29), and two fountain drinks ($2.79 each). Our total came to $48.69, including tax and tip. The only thing keeping this from being a five-star review is the pricing. While the quality of the food is undeniable, almost $9 for a hot dog felt a bit steep, especially considering it's just the hot dog without a side. If the prices were a little more reasonable, I'd have no problem giving this place five stars. Overall, the food quality exceeded my expectations, and I'd definitely return when I'm in the area. If you're looking for a well-cooked Wagyu burger or a quality gourmet hot dog, Whiskey Foxtrot is worth checking out--you'll just want to be prepared for the premium pricing.
