New salon on Main street. Amazing and clean salon. Great decor. Great music. Amazing service. I can't even believe I am this lucky to find another gem on Yelp! They took me right away and had really nice pedicure chairs. The staff is very friendly and everyone helped to make me comfortable. They asked if I wanted coffee or tea and offered to help start the massage chair. I am in nail salon heaven! No chemical smell here. It just smells like lotion and leather (from the massage chairs). My gel pedicure is perfect and shiny. I am so happy I will be coming back for more visits and services. read more

Overall my experience at AMPM Salon was lovely! Everyone was very welcoming upon my arrival in the morning and Maria got straight to work on my spa pedicure. She was very sweet and gave an amazing foot/leg massage. Additionally, she took her time throughout the nail shaping and painting of my nails and made me feel pampered and not rushed at all. Next, Ellie was assigned for a manicure and she was also very kind and up for going off of my inspo picture. She was very detail oriented and gave me a beautiful manicure! My only complaint was that the manicure was quite expensive and the price was never explained to me until I got to the cash register... it ended up being $150 in total ($45 for the spa pedicure, $90 for the polish and sequins applied to my hands, and then tip). In future, itd be appreciated if everyone would be very transparent about cost prior to the completion of services. read more

I showed her what I wanted and she not only recreated it but also enhanced the design by adding gold flakes and studs. Also got spa pedicure done by Maria. Very satisfied with her work as well. Did not post pic bc no one wants to look at my feet Amazing customer service, super friendly, very clean (saw techs spray down and clean everything after finishing with each client) and stayed on time. Estimated an hr for my gel set and another hr for spa pedicure and finished exactly as stated. Also very transparent about pricing. Came for the first time and everyone was super nice. Had to leave my old salon because no matter what I did I couldn't get my gel nails to last more than 10 days. Went with a reg gel manicure which is priced at $35 but upgraded for a Korean polish and a specialty base layer which brought the price to $50. These extras should have my manicure lasting 3 weeks. So crossing my fingers that it's true. They also reassured me that if anything happened in that time that I should just come in and they would rectify the issue. So far so good. Beware tho they do have a dog in the shop who is prone to barking but is harmless. read more

I've been coming to AMPM Nail Spa for 6 months consistently now and always happy with my services! Most recently, I had my manicure done here for my wedding (last month) and now my honeymoon! Appointments were honored, work was meticulous Prices were fair Today I waited 30 minutes for my appointment. I received the same manicure I've received multiple times yet today it cost 30.00 more. They didn't need to remove any gel. I had clean nails When i asked why I was told it was the design. I explained I've had the same design in the past (owner knows as she does my nails). I went to this nail salon specifically because the reviews were better than most in the area.. But I will not be returning.. First, the person doing my nails didn't even know how to shape my nails let alone get them all in the same length Second, I asked for a hard gel overlay since my nails are brittle in which they proceeded to glob it on resulting in a very thick and bubbly texture (she had to fix 4 of my nails three times) Lastly, as I picked my color, I heard my nail tech ask the owner how much extra that certain polish was and she responded "5 dollars extra". However, towards the end of my gel manicure, the owner comes to me and says that the polish is actually 10 dollars extra bc it's imported from Korea. Didn't she just tell my nail tech that it was only 5 dollars extra not 10? I'm at a loss of words.. then she proceeds to say "since it's your first time here, I'll give you a 5 dollar discount ok??" I hate businesses that are not transparent in their pricing and charging 10 dollars extra for a subpar transparent polish is certainly not worth it. Save your trip and go elsewhere! read more

UNTRAINED BARKING DOG IN NAIL SPA! SO MUCH FOR A RELAXING EXPERIENCE SMH Not much for reviews , however I felt like this warranted one. Greeted by Anna the owner along w her white lab. Now I LOVE dogs, I have one myself, however to bring a dog into a professional environment that is not only in the way because the shop isnt very big but would bark every SINGLE time Anna would go behind the counter or frankly for no reason at all is quite ridiculous and unprofessional. The constant barking was to the point where it gave me anxiety and only stayed because I would have been left half undone. I usually do powder on my nails but upon Anna's insistence I gave in and decided to try gel instead so "i wouldn't have to soak next time and because I am such a pretty girl I want pretty nails you should try" (not sure what being pretty has to do w nails) By the time I finished I had a clumpy gel manicure that still had the thickness of it leftover from the powder I paid $10 to soak off The ONLY reason for the 1 star is because Kathy the nail technician is a really nice person. read more

I typically don't write reviews and if I don't like a nail salon I typically just never return, but I do have to comment on my experience there. I went in for UV Gel and I have to say you can find a much better job for a much cheaper price elsewhere. My cuticles were all cut up. I asked for a very simple flower design, and for the price of $100 I thought there would be care with trying to do a decent job. My nail tech haphazardly made these flower petals without any care, a literal child could have done a better job. I will never come back here again. I don't understand the high reviews when a simple design cannot be done, and after sitting in the excruciatingly hot salon I had to get out of there. read more

I haven't seen her so happy in such a long time. I take her around 3x's a month and it was tough finding thee place. AMPM is a relatively new nail salon in the Fort Lee area but is quickly becoming a fave. The salon is clean, bright with tons of options for gel or regular nail polish. The staff is friendly and accommodating. So far I have mostly gotten services from Anna Won, their resident UV Gel specialist but the other services received from the various techs have been good. The owner Alex is also extremely nice and personable. While the salon has had some growing pains with time management earlier on, they have more than made up for it with better organization and hiring more staff. As soon as I walked in I was pleasantly surprised by how cute the salon was and how clean it was. And no nail polish smell! I started with a pedicure and figured I would treat myself to the Spa Purissima pedicure. The staff was super attentive, Cindy and Anna introduced me to this new type of nail polish that has a subtle elegant shimmer with a 3D holographic effect which I love. They import it from Korea and it is a non-toxic gel nail polish that is beautiful - I can't stop looking at my nails! And Anna gave me 'extra' by adding some bling to my ring finger. The owner and most staff are nice. Environment is beautiful and color selection is great. However, one nail technician Sarah is unprofessional and frequently makes racially insensitive, unsolicited remarks. I have been to the salon a few times and Sarah has done my nails twice. She first made some critiques about how my natural nails were "not good" which seemed unhelpful as I'm here to have them done but fine. She escalated and told me during a pedicure I shouldn't shave my legs and then refused to paint my toenails a light color "because my toes were too dark" (??). Of note, I frequently have my toes painted white which has NEVER been a problem at any other salon. The final straw is when she told me that I shouldn't wear my hair in braids because "it was too much and they are too heavy". All of this advice was unsolicited as I'm not much of a talker during nail appointments. I come here to get my nails done and that's the only service I receive. I do not ask for a beauty consultation. Particularly from someone who seems so narrow-minded and culturally insensitive. Alex (the owner) goes out of his way to make ALL customers feel welcome, no matter the background, so it's a shame that Sarah does not fit the culture of this nail salon. Hopefully, they can speak with her and help her to learn that all people deserve to be treated with respect & kindness. read more
