I would always come here for gas daily now I'm going to the other gas station across the street , because this worker named Magnolia was being soooo rude , and told me I had to buy something or put gas before I use the restroom . I needed the restroom before I put gas since I was driving from LA to Moreno Valley and this was about the half way point I always stop and put gas now I'm not going to be a customer here anymore I will give my business to the gas station across the street . ampm - Run down Arco /ampm - Convenience Stores Near Me - Ontario, California

This used to be a decent gas station, but it's gone downhill a bit in recent years. They used to be one of the first Arco stations to accept credit cards for store purchases and gas, back when the corporation only did debit with fee or cash. They also used to have very competitive prices, only 8c above wholesale, which is below industry average. Their warm food used to be fresh and organized, their cooler well stocked and their restroom free and clean. When they ran out of regular, they would lower the price of premium to regular to keep customers happy until the delivery truck showed up. It used to be a 5-star business 10-20 years ago. Now they have fallen off the wagon a bit. Employee moral seems down and service is lagging a bit. They still have some pluses, but it's a mixed experience now. I've been coming here so long it's hard for the employees to be grumpy lol at first they were definitely grumpy but they've gotten a lot better. Very nice service and they are super quick! I love that I don't sit in line for a long time. read more

At 12:00pm on 2/25/24, I recently visited the store located at 2456 S Vineyard Ave, Ontario, CA 91761. My boyfriend stopped to charge his car and I wanted to buy a water, chips and candy, as well as use the restroom. I walked to the restroom but it was locked so I asked the lady at the register if I needed a key. In one of the most rude encounters of my life she said "It says for customers only" I told her I was planning on buying snacks but I needed to use the restroom. She then told me it was unavailable. The exchange was unnecessary and you should consider hiring people that are not rude, or discuss customer service with her. If I treated a customer that way, my boss would write me up. I left the store and walked across the street to Mobil where i bought several bottles of water, a dozen candy bars, sodas and chips. I will never come back to this location. read more

I'm an idiot. That's right, I'll admit it. When I'm in a hurry and need to stop off the freeway to get gas because that little orange "hey you moron, get gas before I stop running" light goes off on the dashboard, my brain isn't functioning at it's best. But this EXACT reason is why gas stations should be "idiot proof"...you know? Again, I need gas, I'm in a hurry, it's 6:00 a.m., it's raining (something we're not used to here in Southern California) and there are big trucks zooming around this AMPM making their morning deliveries to the surrounding businesses in the adjacent strip mall. After dodging a few trucks I find my way to the pump. I pump my gas and hear the little "click" of the pump letting me know my gas is done pumping. Of course, like most drivers I know, I give the pump one more little squeeze to make sure my tank is actually full. As the rain is falling hard around me I notice that my "little squeeze" (before the pump clicks again) has turned into a looooooooooong squeeze. I look down to see gas shooting out of my tank like a horizontal geyser!!!!! I yank the pump out only to witness the gas continue to shoot out of my car with a force only known to a frat boy after getting drunk at his first "kegger" and vomiting the night's beer consumption all over his dorm room. Again, I'll admit I'm the idiot in this scenario, but AMPM deserves it's fair share of blame. I've been driving for over 16 years and I've been filling my gas tank the same way for just as long (the "little squeeze"). I'm shocked that this gas station's pumps didn't have the ability to auto shut off when the tanks was full. (Just so you can all rest assured. I wiped down the side of my car where the gas spilled and immediately let the in store clerk know how stupid I was so he could send someone to clean up the HUGE mess). read more

We stop here for gas a lot . Today I tried the coffee and what a horrible mistake. It was disgusting and taste like they brewed and entire ash tray with cigarette ids in the coffee . I don't recommend the coffee at all . Plain disgusting. read more

AM/PM or Arco is generally my go to for competitively priced gas and cheap snacks especially when Im in Southern California where they are conveniently located near all major freeways. This is what led me to this particular location today, a decision I am living to regret. When I arrived I put $80 in the ATM machine outside and began to pump my gas. I pumped less than $60 worth of gas and made my way into the location. When I reached the front of the line and asked for my change the lady immediately told me "Theres no change on that pump!" Dumfounded I asked her to repeat her previous statement. She repeated herself and asked me where if I had paid inside or outside and said something similar had happened earlier in the night. I told her I paid at their machine outside and she pulled something up on her screen and said "Oh someone got that change already" Admittedly at this point my tone took on an angrier tone. She had just given away $25 of my money to someone else! "So what does that mean for me?!" I asked her "Oh well you can fill out a form and someone will contact you in a few days or a week" "But that doesnt seem fair. You gave my change to the wrong person and now you want me to fill out a form and give you all a week to figure it out? Is there a manager around?" Of course there was no manager and the lady just didn't seem to understand why I was upset that she had given my money away. Additionally as she is "helping" me the line is growing behind me and the other associate is busing herself with other tasks behind the counter that don't involve assisting customers. At this point I explain to her that not only do I not live in the area but I don't even live in the state anymore. So how will I get my money back from her mistake? She tells me "oh well we can mail it to you or you can call the manager tomorrow during the following times (she gave me a 6 hour window- really there is only a manager around for 6 hours a day?!?) Wait you don't even have my name or address yet but your going to mail me my refund? I filled out the paper and told her Ill call him as soon as he gets in tomorrow because I need him to pull the tape ASAP and not in a week when he gets around to it.Overall I was very frustrated with the way the situation was handled. I really think that it was a two/three person scam being run by an individual who stopped me outside near my pump and asked me a question just before I walked into the location and although I understand that weather that was what happened or it was an honest mistake I feel like as the customer who is willing to leave her information and telling you to pull the tape to prove their point is probably telling the truth. Ill update once I hear from the Manager/ get my money back. In the meantime BEWARE! UPDATE: Ok So today I hounded the Manager. He got in at 8:00 am, I called him at 8:22 am and was told he had just stepped out but would call me back as soon as he walked back in. 9:36 am I call back and the manager answers. He tells me he has not had time to look at any of the claims from the night before but he would look at them and call me back by 12:00 pm. Ok I can understand that you have other things you have to do besides deal with the customer who's money you gave away the night before so I think its fair to give you a few hours to look over the tape. 12:29 pm I call him back again and ask him if he's looked at the tape since he was supposed to have called me 30 min ago. "Oh yeah I looked at it and it looks like we did in fact give your change to someone else. Its odd that someone else asked for your change though. (Heavy Sign) I guess Im going to have to probably eat this one.....(long pause)" "Umm ok so when can I pick up my refund?" (Money was secured a few hours later) read more

After putting in gas I noticed I was low on air in one tire so wanted to top off. I went in and asked a girl stocking candy if they could turn in the air, before I even finished she snapped back very sharply that I need tokens. She just kept stocking candy didn't even look up from stocking candy. So I got in a line that had 6 people in it with one elderly man working the register. After arriving at the Airport we decided to pull over and get gas at this location. Mind you I was extremely irritated because of constant layovers and customs. Anyways I go in and decided to get a few drinks for myself and my family. I also get a few snacks along the way. I see this extremely long line with only one cashier and I'm thinking great another effin line! However The cashier, (Chubby Asian/mix guy with Glasses believe his name was Kalvin or Kevin?) was on it going back and forth between registers and with such a good attitude! I do admit I got a little hostile at first and addressed the long line and displayed my discontent but he was kind and Apologized for the inconvenience. I accepted the apology. He gave me a free coffee card to make up for the prolonged wait. He was very quiet but extremely polite! I felt bad after for being such a b*tch. After such Wonderful service despite the situation the young man deserves a raise! Or at least an "Atta Boy!". Because you just can't find good customer service anymore!!! read more

Avoid like this place like you would Ebola. Lost my wallet here. Five days later I am still unable to get a hold of a manager or someone willing to call the manager to simply find out if my wallet is in the office.
