Today we went to the deli department at the Stater Bros. on Schaefer and Euclid, the market we always shop at. We wanted to order the 8-piece chicken and were told we could not place the order the way we've always done before. I explained that we've ordered it this way many times in the past, including just two weeks ago when the young girl that was there also helped me without any issue. Unfortunately, the elderly woman with white hair working in the deli was very sarcastic in her response and simply said "no" in a rude tone. We have lived in this area for six years and have never experienced this kind of treatment at this location until today. What disappointed us most was not even being told "no," but the attitude and tone we received. Because of how uncomfortable and unwelcome we felt, we decided to walk away without buying any chicken at all. I understand policies can change, but customer service and respectful communication still matter. What I truly did not appreciate was that as we were leaving the store, I noticed the elderly employee speaking to another worker while staring at us as we exited the market. The other employee then turned around and looked at us as well, making it very obvious we were being talked about. That was extremely rude and unprofessional, and it made the situation even more uncomfortable. read more

I stopped by this location on my way home from work and bought a small gift bag, tissue paper, cake mix, candles for a coworkers birthday. The next day I open the bag to make the cake and realized they didn't put the gift bag in my bag. I called to see if I brought the receipt in if they would just give me a new bag ($1.39 was the cost not much but still I purchased it) I was told by Maria, I could come in and wait for them to look over the cameras. I have been to this location a few times now and each time has been a pleasant experience. This location is usually fully stocked with fresh items. The deli area is so nice with the way they organize their chicken and side dishes. Usually some stores deli employees don't seem happy, but that's not the case here. You'll always be greeted by a friendly staff member with patience and recommendations. The cashiers and baggers are very nice and always offer stickers to my baby girl :) read more

I go into this staters quite a bit. Yesterday I went in with the plan of making burgers for my boys and the meat counter was out of my usual 93% lean ground beef. Shout out to Cody who went above and beyond and offered grind me fresh tri tip, which not only gave me the meat I wanted but saved me some cheddah!... Typically when a product is out the customer is usually sent to the cool case where they know it's not there just to stop the questions. I appreciate the effort, especially since I spend a ton of time and money at this location! Shout out to Maria the cashier as well who always smiles and greets my family!...She is our favorite!!! I like how close this store is to my home. I also like how the butchers are professional and friendly. What I do not like is when my items I buy that are fragile or breakable, like my crackers and candy bar, are tossed onto the counter. I was not greeted and my items were not handled properly. There check out clerk did not have their name badge, which is out of uniform. Management you need to hire and train your staff better. I got the name from the receipt. DO NOT PURCHASE GIFT CARDS HERE! This location has been hit with gift card scammers and I was a victim ! I purchased two $150.00 dollar Macys gift cards from this StaterBros during the Xmas holiday ..by the time the cards were gifted they were already depleted ... after contacting Macy's they were able to see that the purchases were made online right the very day the cards were purchased (I purchased on Dec 15 .. didn't gift to my daughter until Dec 25)..Macys could not help me they said I had to go thru stater bros as they were the point of sale, I had my receipt the cards and the scammers purchase timeline .. a report was done and all I received was an email stating they could not refund me.. I'm out 300 dollars and there's nothing anybody can do .. how bout stop placing gift cards where scammers have access to them as they are very sophisticated nowadays , these cards did not appear to be tampered with but obviously were! The bakery ladies, Vivian and Debbie, were such a BIG help ! I had ordered with a different lady in bakery and she had no personality whatsoever.. especially when we were trying to explain what we were going for and she basically dismissed what we were trying to show her. We go to pick up our cupcakes and they are the wrong color.. we were then taken care of by Vivian and she has customer service and did her best at explaining on paper what color we needed.. we go the next day to pick up our cupcakes and they are the perfect shade of toy story alien green ! That's why I'm so annoyed that this location keeps removing brands and replacing them with Stater Bris brand. I'm over it!! I want choices!! BAKERY Christy @ the bakery was awesome. We went around Chino trying to find a bakery to make a mini-cake with blue frosting, but no one could. Not one bakery could muster up small circular pieces of pound cake, inject it with blue buttercream and dirty ice it with a quick design. Went to Stater's, knowing they were more likely to help - and we weren't disappointed. The baker's assistant let us know that they were busy, but that she'd ask the baker if it was possible. AND she opens ANOTHER express lane instead of a regular lane. By this time there was 1 customer waiting in the express lane but 4 still waiting in the regular lane. Which did nothing to reduce the number of customers waiting in line. Customer service going down everyday. read more

The last couple days since they put the $1,000 fine on people with masks I've gone into Stater Brothers there's no social distancing at all everybody is on top of everybody there's 7 to 10 carts going different directions people reaching over one another there's people in there with no Masks it's the worst place to have to shop since this virus has begun. I will not be going back again. I noticed that at Albertsons on Central Avenue they have arrows down each aisle they have one line for each check out everybody is social distancing everybody has a mask on and gloves it's the best they take such good care of their store.
