    If I had one word to describe Derek that would be PERFECTIONIST. I have an older e36 M3 that needed someone to really take the time to take care of it and Derek was the perfect mechanic for the job. They made very few of these models with this color combination so it was very important to me to chose wisely who would work on it. Not only does AMS AtoGroup have the best hourly rates but Derek gave me deals of a lifetime. From a free inspection, to a full maintenance that required a bran new clutch, water pump, new radiator, oil pan gasket, and many more little things. He also took me in last minute after calling him after hours when I had an unexpected leak from my oil filter housing. He really takes care of his customers to a whole new level. Just take a peak into his shop, it's like a Tesla factory, everything is so clean and where things belong, tells you a lot about Derek. He earned my respect and definitely my 5 star review. The best advise I can give you if you love your European car is don't just go after something that pops up to be affordable because in the long run it will double you in cost if it's not done right the first time. Just like someone who has a toothache doesn't go to a family doctor but rather a dentist who specialized in helping people with teeth. Derek has proved his love for European cars, especially with BMW's. Good luck, if you need more proof than try AutoGroup for yourself, you will not regret it I promise.

    I had two very good experience with AMS Autogroup and highly recommend Derek and his team for any BMW work you need! I took my 2016 BMW M4 to Derek for KW HAS coil over install as well as Downpipe install and was treated like a VIP customer. He also showed me around his shop and treated me like his friend instead of a random customer. His shop was also pretty chill too and had Wifi and Xbox streaming videos the whole time. I drove all the way down from Mill Creek to Tacoma to have Derek work on my car and I'd drive down again next time I need my car serviced! It's hard to find trustworthy and transparent BMW mechanics like Derek and his team and I highly recommend AMS Autogroup! You won't be disappointed!     Before Oil Pan Gasket Replacement

    Honest, professional, and competent. So far, I have had Derek work on my N55 E82 twice. I've shopped around all over Seattle, Bellevue, and the Tacoma area for a good mechanic. They all over-quoted me before I found Derek through my friend. Derek will not BS you or sell you unnecessary repairs. He will give you very fair prices, and make recommendations based on what he's working on. My most recent experience was an oil pan gasket replacement. Since he was working in that area, he said he would also do the motor mounts for retail price of the hardware alone. When he reported back, he was very honest and told me that my motor mounts were already done by the previous owner. Most other shops would have probably left it alone and charged me anyway. Not Derek! He also did a power steering flush for me. All at a fraction of the cost of a dealership.

Rental returned it and went next door to see what was available. Great cars in the lot all clean and ready to drive. No negotiating all prices are listed and firm ( not a problem for me). Ok so this is what happened I told him look I don't want you looking for financing for no reason the other loan won't reflect paid. Showed him the payment being sent to insurance gave him my info and we found financing in less than five actually several banks approved me. The best part is the car that I ended up getting wasn't even the car I thought of buying - I drive a couple of cars and based on our conversation Chris pulled the car of my dreams in the front I drove it, loved it Went inside and made the purchase. I appreciate my Salesperson Chris for directing me in the right direction because I didn't see that car any place and it met my price point. Happy Driver

Awful customer service once you sign the papers. Actually as you sign the papers (it's digital) the finance woman had me create an account with password on her giant desk-sized keyboard. I figured it was something I would need to access in the future so chose a familiar password. I wish I hadn't because the woman watched my every keystroke like a hawk (can't be discrete on a desk-sized keyboard). I immediately assumed she was watching to ensure my password met the requirements but after a couple seconds it dawned on me she now has the password to my bank login and more...and I had just handed her every bit of person information needed for security checks, short of my thumbprint. Instead of email or print your documents they email you a password secure file. Well I wasn't able to open said zip file to access my necessary documents for registration and tax purposes a few days later. I tried calling. No response. I left a voicemail. No response. I was referred to an email after calling multiple times. No response. It took weeks (no exaggeration, granted I wasn't trying every day) to finally get in touch with someone who got back to me only to insist I go through the financing woman that processed my sale...which is where I started. It was finally through the text notifying my license plates had come in, where I was able to speak to someone that could get me some but not all of my document copies of the sale (was requesting only 2 pertinent documents) I can't imagine if I had to go through this place for actual servicing of my vehicle etc. never want to deal with them again.

What I wanted was a Volvo XC90 as I enjoy the ride in Volvo's and did not need any fast talking person to talk me into any other type of purchase. I was pre approved so I thought this would be an easy purchase Bull. They told me what they could do left the room a couple of times and came back to a lower price acceptable to me and the man I married. USAA unfortunately did not. They spoke with me to discuss other options. Financing with another company was out of the question, no more hits on my Credit. It was one price or return the keys. I feel confidant in my decision to purchase a car from them. If you buy Used life isn't always that full bowl of cherries it's not like they sit down and say how can we screw them - not the feeling I got. Instead it wasn't horrible disappointing at times but that was not on them. They are suppliers guys and gals - don't be so negative go in with an open mind and that will be that.

However, I made the long drive to the dealership because I reasonably expected the final offer to be somewhere close to the estimate I was given. After arriving, I waited for over 90 minutes, only to receive an offer that was about 35% lower than what I had been told. When I questioned the huge difference, the salesperson immediately admitted that he had mixed up my information with another customer's. There wasn't even a moment of hesitation. What bothers me most isn't that a mistake was made--everyone makes mistakes. It's that the mistake was never corrected before I made the trip. If my information had already been mixed up, why wasn't I contacted before I drove all the way to the dealership and spent over an hour and a half waiting? To make matters worse, there was no sincere apology or acknowledgment that my time had been wasted. I understand that this is a large dealership and you probably have no shortage of customers, but customers also have choices. I wasn't asking anyone to do me a favor--I came because I relied on the information your staff provided. This is not the level of professionalism, communication, or respect for a customer's time that I would expect from a Toyota dealership. I hope the dealership improves its internal communication and treats future customers with the honesty and respect they deserve.

    We test drove the greenish 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe VIN KM8SG13D57U099373 listed as of this date. We…read moreliked the vehicle and drew up papers and left a deposit pending a pre-purchase inspection by our mechanic. When we went to look at it intially the dealer had the AutoCheck available, but not the Carfax which was strange since they have a big Carfax sign in the window. We also got some verbiage about how Carfax reported every little thing and wasn't necessarily accurate. I still paid for the Carfax when we got home ($40). What a surprise to learn the vehicle had been in an accident. This wasn't a dealbreaker as I still believed the "over-reporting" by Carfax the dealer told us and figured it was a fender bender. We went forward with the pre-purchase inspection ($100). My trusted AAA mechanic said the vehicle had been near-totaled and the damage hadn't been repaired very well. It was quite obvious when the mechanic showed me. I'm not sure why the dealer's mechanic didn't catch it. The car had been pulling to the right and it turns out this was due to a bent strut that hadn't been repaired. There were also some issues with the emissions equipment. The dealer showed me paperwork of what had supposedly been repaired when I noted that the vehicle had failed emissions in June, 2017. When I got home I realized what I had was an estimate, not a guarantee that the work had been done. The vehicle ran a little rough about 25% of the time so I asked the mechanic to look into it. He said it was running like it was "trying to throw codes" (in other words, emissions problems). My mechanic advised me to pass. I was cordial and polite, but told the dealer based on the pre-purchase inspection we no longer wanted the vehicle. When we returned it, the salesman (Martin) and the owner (Chuck) made all kinds of excuses about how the damage was minor and there wasn't anything wrong with it. They showed no interest in my report from the mechanic and kept insisting the vehicle was fine. I didn't say anything because I just wanted my deposit back without any hassle. Chuck remained cordial, but fast-talking Martin turned quite surly. I did receive my deposit back even though I spent $140 for nothing. I don't know how they could deny a report from AAA mechanic, or damage I could see with my own eyes. I didn't receive an apology nor was there any concern that someone could buy an unsafe money-pit. If there had been any regret or offers to fix the emissions and the strut, this would've been a different review. It could be a good car for someone with the problems fixed and full-disclosure of the accident. Honesty is worth gold, or in this case, a sale. If anyone wants the Carfax or has any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

In my case, the inspection identified $637.67 in recommended repairs. When I shared the report and asked whether the dealership would address the issues or adjust the price, they said they were unable to find anything that needed repair. To be fair, my salesperson was excellent--helpful, understanding, and professional throughout the process. The dealership allowed me to have the vehicle independently inspected, did not pressure me to move forward with the purchase, and was respectful when I decided to walk away. At the same time, they were not willing to make any adjustments to the deal in light of the inspection findings. Overall, this seems like a solid dealership, but all used vehicles are sold as-is. Do your homework, get an independent inspection, and be prepared to cover any repairs yourself after the purchase. In my case, the inspection was well worth the cost and helped me make a more informed decision.
