    Interior of Exchange St. Station

Took my first train trip out of the new Amtrak station yesterday. What a world of difference compared to the old station! Used to be if we were catching the early train to New York City during the winter holidays, we'd have to stand out on the platform at 4 AM because the station was locked and unstaffed. In freezing winter temperatures. Completely defeated the purpose of having a station. You got the feeling that Amtrak was sabotaging this station so they could close it and make everyone go to Depew. The new station is clean, sunny, pleasant, and most importantly, open 3 AM to 11 PM every day. There is an electrical outlet built into each row of four seats, plus one dedicated charging station. Instead of vending machines, there's a small snack booth selling locally made treats and hot & cold beverages. Outside, there is a bike rack but not a ReddiBike docking station, an obvious and needed intermodal transportation link. The closest ReddiBike rack is 5 blocks away at Canalside. Which is good but not good enough. I used ReddiBike to get to the station and had to detour 5 blocks to drop it off. Install a ReddiBike rack at this station and I'll change my review from 4 to 5 stars.

Very small station, over-packed, nowhere to sit. No place to buy a hot coffee or small pastry, just one lonely vending machine.

John who contacted me back was extremely professional. He went over Covid protocols for going into Canada and back to the US. Even gave us good times for pickup to make it back to the airport on time. We did find out the two days before the trip that passports were not up to date. Contacted John and he made all the changes for us. Now for the night of the flight into Buffalo. The plane got delayed into Buffalo by about 60 min, so we are now a little after 11 PM to land. We get to the baggage claim area and meet John (not sure if it was the same John as on email). He was amazing and friendly. We waited for our bags, and it appears that one of our bags did not make it with us. John patiently waited with us while we went and filed paperwork with the airline. John still made the night special for us even with all the problems. John got us into the limo and the ride was amazing, he even offered to stop and get us something to eat because everything was closed nearby. The pick-up from the hotel was perfect too. John picked us up in the SUV for the return trip. The car was still amazing and the drive was smooth. Had a great talk with John and he was able to talk about all the history of the area. Not being from there it was extremely interesting. This was an anniversary trip for my wife and me, and we felt like VIPs the whole time. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you all for helping make this great, and for anyone reading this review please know that A Touch of Class will take care of you.

The bus serves as a shuttle in a sense (was a simple ride to any desired location within the Niagara Falls attraction). The bus made runs throughout the day - picking up/dropping off. Best money we spent. Note, though we absolutely loved the convenience of riding on these first come, first to be home buses, a couple of the bus drivers didn't seem too nice.

Towards the end of a very long day with an over tired 1 1/2 year old, I make what I was starting to think was a very poor decision of trying to see Niagara on the Lake. We stopped at Floral Clock and I was feeling overwhelmed and almost turned around, but we were so close. Then we took the shuttle from Floral Clock to St George and from the very first encounter the driver was so friendly. He checked where everyone was going, made sure they were in the right place and redirected them if needed. The drive out was an entire EXPERIENCE that I gladly would have paid more for, not just a means to an end. He gave fun tidbits about the area, pointed things out, places to go, had great information about the stops, and answered questions I wouldn't have even known I had. He's gotta be a local, he knew so much about the area. By the time we got there I felt like an entirely different person and then we ended up having the best experience of the entire day in Niagara on the Lake. We had our stroller and he checked with the free shuttle to town to see how much space was in the back, just so he could pass along correct information for the future. This was someone who goes above and beyond and it made such a difference, for him and us, he seemed to be enjoying his day. And honestly, from our time riding the bus he was the only one who was, the rest of the experience everyone else seemed kind of angry. Sir, if you ever want to change careers to Montana, you're hired.
