We came here on a Saturday night and surprisingly, there's not too many people. They were able to seat us earlier than our reservation time too. The ambiance is really intimate and elegant and the service was really quick. They made sure we're good and constantly check up on us. We got the wine tab where we can pick from a variety of wines using a card. It'll give you about 1 oz each, but you get to try a tons of wine! Some of the wines didn't taste the best, but it was a lot of fun trying them! We didn't have a chance to try their food, but we tried out their burnt tiramisu and man, it was delicious! Their burnt tiramisu is one of the best tiramisu I've ever had. It was a bit pricey at $16, but the portion was huge! We were so full from just eating the cake. It was a bit confusing trying to find the bar, but it's located inside the inspiration furniture. Definitely worth the visit if you want to try a variety of wines!

Made reservations via their website (open table), but when our party arrived I was told there were no reservations. Make sure to call a few days prior to your reservations to make sure they have it. Fortunately, their was room for us. Actually we were the only ones there for a while which was strange because Happy Hour is 5pm-6pm. The HH prices are only on the alcohol (selected I believe). The food is regular price. The portions are extremely small so make sure to order enough. There were 4 of us and the grilled cheese was 3 tiny sandwiches that we had to cut up. The pizza was so tiny. I could've eaten the entire thing. It was more like a mini flatbread. Also had the fries. It was more about spending time together so the food didn't bother us. Just know it is definitely small bites. So plan to spend a lot of money on food if you're hungry. We are slow drinkers so we were only able to get HH prices on the first drink. The second drink was regular price. Total 7 wines, 3 dishes was $140 plus tip almost $170. Has a great chill vibe. Will definitely come back. Our server was so good. Free parking in the garage!

A middle of the week (Wednesday) experience. We were one of 2 tables in the whole restaurant. Our server was very attentive and prompt with service! The wine dispenser had malfunction issues and is not recommended for wine lovers. Besides "measuring each drop of wine", the walk to the dispenser can be a deterrent. Our kalua pig bao buns made up for the wine dispenser challenge. The titillation of the hosin sauce and the "pang" of the pickled red onions, on top of the kalua pig....made a symphony of flavors on my plate! The certified angus beef sliders included a tangy black pepper aioli, covered with cheese and presented on a "pillowy" homemade potato bun....a dream come true...with every bite!! Lol!! Funkadelic....nouveau...yowza....could be used to describe the decorative flavors chosen for this venue!! A relaxing and interesting ambiance that beckons you to return......

My friends and I stopped by Amuse for a little girls' night and it did not disappoint! So fun to pour our own by the oz glasses and sample a bunch of different white and red wines at our leisure. The bar staff were incredibly friendly and explained the menu and "wine modules" to us as newbies, and were kind to check in with us every now and then in case we had questions. We also had the matcha flan and it was delightful! Not super crowded on a Wednesday night, but there was a private event happening in a sectioned off space that looked like a nice meeting/hosting spot!

It's been a minute (10 years+) since I've been to Amuse, fortunately the staff there was able to reactivate my wine card that still had a balance of $18 from all those years ago to give us a head start. Love the concept where you load $$ onto your Amuse card and then are able to self serve yourself a large variety of wines at different price points. Pours are in one ounce increments which allow one to taste a wide array of vino from the different regions. The Great: The large selection of wines is the obvious draw but Amuse also has a nice selection of very well prepared dishes to enjoy with your wine. This evening we enjoyed a nice charcuterie platter, salmon tataki, patatas bravas, and finished with the Kula Lavender Tres Leches Cake. Service is always fantastic and their crew do an awesome job. The Good: Besides the self serve wine islands, you can also order flights and pours by the glass. They also offer several unique cocktails and offer a full bar. The Okay: Large seating area filled with lot of high top seating options which make it a great spot for groups. We do like to sit in a nice comfy booth so wish there were some available. Overall: Located within the Inspiration Design store, this location offers easy access and lots of free parking. Great drinks, reasonable prices, fantastic staff, and great food equals a can't miss experience. I'm just upset that it took me 10 years between visits but we will return soon!

Everyone stop what you are doing and read the this review. Babe The Stage Restaurant and Amuse wine bar is a must! The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the Inspiration Furniture store. I know I know you like what? But, honey don't worry about that get to this spot! The decor will leave you in a quiet space of wonder! The chandelier over my table was a woman made of metal doing acrobatics while holding the chandelier! I will post pics baby! For starters we had the Escargot! Beautifully plated and it was perfectly prepared. Hmmm yes Sir For entree I had the short ribs and yes the Chef blessed this dish! It literally looked like a piece of art. The shading and colors from the brown sauce to the org Ange carrots to this green horseradish dusting. There were layers of flavors. Dessert- Tres Leche- I grew up in El Paso and I know a lil something about a good tres! This tres Leche was wonderful. The addition of blueberries and I believe ube was a new and very enjoyable! I would love to return to Amuse! Please check this place out!

Like someone said, "This is a Dave & Buster's of wine lovers" and it's so true. Relaxed yet stylish ambience. I was too busy trying different wines and didn't stay at the table much, totally destroying the cool chill atmosphere of the place. The food was great. We only had Salmon Tataki as we went to the Stage Restaurant that is adjacent to this bar to have dinner. But since it comes from the same kitchen, I'm sure the rest of the food items are wonderful as well. The portion is very small, though. The wines were great but they could be very expensive. I tried a few $4.75 per ounce wines and those were definitely better than cheaper ones, though I understand the price doesn't always equal to the taste and quality. I'll definitely be back here again and again.

The Amuse wine bar - ok a lot more than just wine.

The Amuse wine bar is a great place to have a light easy meal and enjoy wine or cocktails. Parking is easy if needed at the inspiration furniture store parking and just take the elevator inside the store to the second floor. The ambiance is great and it's usually not too loud enabling great conversations. The seating is consists of nice comfortable chairs and tables like a home living room or at a long solid granite bar. Though the bar stools are not the most comfortable ones. A friend of mine and I had a bottle of Italian red and their daily special anchovy brochette which was very good but you must like anchovies. We had their truffle mushroom pizza and their meat pizza. We both liked the meat pizza the best. They all had nice sprigs of arugula. The service is good.

Can I give this 6 stars? Had a Fabulous (with a capital F!) NYE 4 course dinner. Food/drinks: Best meal I've had in a while! We enjoyed an amuse bouche, lobster and purée 1st course, Chilean sea bass 2nd course, peach yuzu sorbet pallet cleanser, lamb lollipop 3rd course, ice cream and vanilla meringue 4th course, and a little chocolate and nut nibble to end. They did an incredible job of portioning enough but not too much; I was too stuffed to finish dessert but felt very satisfied. We opted to do our own drink selections and I enjoyed a glass of champagne, the yuzu sake cocktail (very refreshing), and the sweet tooth dessert wine flight (it's pretty sweet). The best part of the food (besides everything being fresh)?! They made very thing gluten free and dairy free for me, and accommodated all my dietary restrictions. I mean, wow! Service: Fantastic. Very attentive host. Changed out our used silverware each course. Explained everything to a t. My only complaint would be that I felt a tad rushed. We did arrive a little late so I think they were trying to keep us to a certain time so they could close. Ambiance: Love! Let me start by saying this restaurant is inside of a high end furniture and design store. We didn't know that and spent 15 minutes circling the building! Once you get inside and go upstairs, there's a beautiful area with funky furniture, lighting, and art. It's eye catching, photo inviting, elevated, and fun. The final price was $$$$ and worth every single penny. Thank you, Amuse, for making such a special NYE 2023.

Not much to say but only that the ambiance was so elegant, the workers were super friendly and the food was delicious! Not to mention the drinks were the real deal too and strong lol! I recommend going!!

My friends and I visited this place for a girls night out. It was the weekend and this place was great to unwind ourselves with wine and tasty small plates. Charcuterie plate: This plate has two different crackers, three different cured meats, we ordered just brie cheese, and grapes. This goes great with wine. Truffle fries: The fries were crispy and addicting. The garlic herb butter was flavorful. I wished there were more garlic on the fries. Escargot: Very good dish. Good amount of snails and mushrooms. The garlic butter sauce and red wine demi glacé made this dish shine. Cauliflower purée was tasteless however. Ahi dynamite: Our favorite go-to dish every time we visit Amuse and Stage. Their dynamite sauce is amazing. Grilled New York steak: This dish was amazing. Their truffle garlic soy sauce was the star of this dish. Stage sliders: The sliders were good. There were 3 sliders. The patty was very flavorful. This dish would be better if they added some greens or grilled onions in the sliders. It's just cheese and patty. Lilikoi creamsicle: I love this dessert. There was the right amount of vanilla ice cream and lilikoi sorbet. Both compliments well together and it wasn't overly sweet nor sour. The strawberry purée was delicious. It would be great if they added more of it. The downside, however, was the shortbread crust. It was very bland and hard that my fork could not break through. Birbet red wine: This red wine was good. It was sweet and bubbly. It was also very pricey. Overall, a great place for a night out. Service was great. Definitely an enjoyable experience.

Amuse and Stage are beautiful, the food and service can't be beat, and the lighting and sound level is perfect for conversation. It's been a while since I visited and it's better than ever. We had the fried Brussels sprouts, organic greens, grilled cheese and brown butter banana tart -- perfection! We started at Stage but I wanted to get the fried Brussels sprouts which are only served at Amuse. Our waiter was a total pro and he escorted us to Amuse.

Amuse Wine Bar Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Amuse Wine Bar

Does this place have Happy Hour? Saw a few reviews about HH but they were from a little while back.

    Is amuse kid friendly?

    Nope

    Do they have vegan options?

Yes. Also they are willing to make modifications.

Planning a date night but will have our 7mo&16mo with us... are kids allowed?

Aloha, Thank you for considering Amuse Wine Bar for your night out. Although children are permitted, Amuse Wine Bar is not the most child friendly environment, specially on…

    What is the recommended attire?

Casual for sure. Dressy casual... is that a thing? As a male I would NOT go in slippers (sandals). Shirt. Jeans. Shoes. Boom.

Can anybody tell me their current HH? Do they still do Thirsty Thursday? Is it only til, 6pm or do they still have specials til 10pm? I haven't been in a while and want to go tonight but want to catch HH.…

HH is only till 6pm.. not sure about Thursdays, but Saturday is when you can buy a $50 for $30.

We ordered Seafood Paella, Mushrooms appetizer. The second time we added different menu. Seafood Paella, added Shrimp Ajillo with fresh homemade bread, Arugula beets salad. The third time ( this time ) we added another different menu. The more we come, the more we can try new menu and enjoy new tastes. Honestly El Cielo, all menu we tried even wine and draft beers, were top class, I love to nominate as the best restaurant in Hawaii. I am so glad I found the great restaurant, I was seeking for. Prices were not bad, as inflation everything costs are so expensive nowadays. Everywhere!! Their services are great too. If I live close by I would go El Cielo once or twice a week. Thank you so much. I will love to come back soon again.

Better than I expected.... Waikiki? I expected it to be expensive, touristy and overhyped. And yes,…read moreit is pricey and touristy. But the food is solidly good... I really enjoyed the octopus. Not too soft. It came with a nice chew and sat on a bed of thinly sliced potatoes. I could've eaten the whole dish by myself...No sharing next time. The egg custard was light, with a hint of bacon flavor. It was served in the shell in a high heeled shoe dish. So cute! The entrées were a bit of a different story... I ordered the pork shoulder at first and the waiter recommended it be done, medium rare. I have to say I am no longer a fan of bloody meat so I asked for it to be done medium. Honestly, it arrived and to my palate was a bit tasteless.... given that it was almost $60 I thought twice but was encouraged to send it back. The waiter was accommodating and I ordered the lamb chops instead. Two thick sliced lamb chops arrived about 15 minutes later and were a perfect medium served on a bed of potato and sweet potato. I really enjoyed this.... I like my lamb chops usually grilled, juicy and fatty. These were refined, trimmed of the fat and beautifully plated. I'd like to try the paella next time and more of the appetizers. Really good choice of fancy little cocktails also. I would reserve the back room for sure next time. That room has high ceilings and feels elevated. The front room where we sat was OK. I'd also opt for the outside seating area on a breezy evening... Otherwise it can be rather humid in the summer. Overall, excellent service and delicious food offerings. A bit pricey to be expected given the area.

We started our vacation with dinner at the Hideout, and upon entering you could immediately hear live music. We received a warm welcome, and brought over to our booth where our server Kai was quick to greet us. We ordered cocktails (I don't remember the name of mine. It's something spritz, and my husband tried the banana bread old fashioned) and we shared the appetizer platter (brussel sprouts with pork belly, kalua pork egg rolls, poke tacos, and edamame)to share. I mentioned that it was just a general question and i wasn't coming that night. They informed me that it's validated for two hours and it's first come first serve. After the 2 hours its $14 an hour. Getting into the valet area was stressful enough as there was a car parked right before you turn and pedestrians that walk back and forth from their main driveway entrance. I also had to wait for valet for a bit too as there was 2 other cars in front of me and probably only 2 valet on duty trying to move cars forward. Reservations can be made on open table, but there was really no point to doing that since it's open seating during happy hour times. We ended up just picking a table that was in the shade, and noticed they only have their menu by QR code which is kinda annoying. The server was pretty nice tho and he brought my dog some water mid way. Their happy hour runs from 2-6 and the menu is slightly less expensive. The food was kind of standard hotel type of food and nothing really stood out. Otherwise the vibes at the restaurant was nice and i do like that they allow dogs to join you. it seems like they have live music after a certain time. I was even more annoyed and stressed with the valet when i went to pick up my car. They literally just handed me my keys. My car was parked along the wall probably 20 steps away, but they could have at least taken out my car cause it was so hard to get out, but i guess it's nice they trust that i wont bang the car in front of back of me i guess even tho im a pretty terrible parker. at the time they didn't look as busy as when i first arrived, so i dont know why they couldn't have just done the bare minimum with just pulling out my car from the stall.

I on the other hand had asked for a non-alcoholic option. Unfortunately, they ran out of ginger beer, all the sparkler options, and didn't serve any soda. The bartender looked pretty irritated by that point, and didn't even provide me with a glass of water. We would've grabbed a bunch of food to compensate for taking up a seat, but by then, the bartender had already dropped the check, and we hadn't even sat there for more than 5 minutes. The most interesting part was that an older couple sat next to us, similar situation. The gentleman asked for a glass of wine, and his wife asked for a non-alcoholic beverage. Though a different bartender came back with a sparkler option for her. Needless to say, I felt pushed aside and I don't believe I'll be back to this location any time soon. The Gouda added this rich, slightly smoky creaminess that made it feel a little more elevated than your standard burger. Every bite was messy in the best way, and the bun held up like a champ. The fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and impossible to stop eating. You know they're good when you keep reaching for "just one more" and suddenly they're gone. We also got the fried calamari and it was perfectly golden and tender, not rubbery at all. Light, crispy coating and super snackable -- especially dipped in the sauce. But the sleeper hit? The smoked ahi with lavosh. So flavorful and fresh, with that smoky richness balanced by the crisp lavosh. It felt light but still packed with taste -- a perfect contrast to the heavier fried stuff. Honestly, everything hit. Great mix of indulgent and fresh, and I'd order this exact combo again without hesitation.

The space is relaxed and inviting, with a calm, tucked-away feel that makes you forget you're inside a hotel. The happy hour menu is impressively priced, with starters beginning at just $6, yet everything feels thoughtfully prepared and elevated. Highlights included the toasted bread with sun-dried tomato pistou -- warm, crisp toast paired with a deeply savory, herbaceous spread that's simple but incredibly satisfying. The mini poke bowl was fresh and well-balanced, showcasing clean flavors and quality fish without being overly heavy. The fish tacos delivered exactly what you want: crispy island fish, bright flavors, and a great balance of texture. We also tried the fish and chips, featuring lightly fried island fish, hot fries, and a creamy house remoulade that tied the dish together beautifully. The standout for us was the empanadas -- flaky, crisp pastry filled with tender braised beef and potato, finished with a bold aji rojo sauce that added just the right amount of depth and gentle heat. The cafe had a nice inviting feel that extended towards the back, the ambiance was dark and chic. The cafe was adorned with Halloween motif. We placed our orders at the counter which was towards the front section and our food were served at our table. I chose the Spinach Mushroom Goat Cheese Omelette and Lemonade for my drink. That homemade lemonade was so refreshing and delicious! Loved the delicious spinach and mushroom in my omelet. Hubby ordered a classic breakfast of Two Eggs w/ Bacon and Roasted Potatoes... wow! the bacon was crispy and yummy and just how I like my bacon cooked. He gave me 2-pieces, maybe because he saw me drooling over it LoL! but I'm telling you, Therese's Wagyu Cheeseburger on Brioche with French Fries looked mighty yummy too! Thank you, Terry, for inviting us to join you for a Sunday brunch. We had a wonderful first time dining experience here with good food and company! Review #3585

They only serve natural wines, which made everything feel really intentional and thoughtfully chosen. We had a Pinot Noir, a super funky orange wine that was honestly really cool to try, and Coenobium -- a beautiful white wine made by nuns. At one point, a bottle of red wine was opened and poured as a little salute for the room -- a simple, unexpected moment that was really wholesome. For food, we shared the venison pâté with bread and a Caprese salad -- simple, but done so well and paired perfectly with everything. It wasn't just about what we had, but how the whole experience came together. There's something really special about what they're creating there. We are already planning our next visit!

The staff is so sweet and accommodating and make excellent recommendations based on their understanding of their wines and your palate. Will definitely be back as they routinely add new wines to the menu throughout the month. The food menu is limited especially if you aren't a big meat eater but there's something for everyone. Low intervention and organic wines with such great range from light and bubbly to heavy with tons of body. Come for the wine and make friends with the staff and others around the bar. The setting is intimate so get comfy.
